What a Beautiful place to stay, Bert and els are so friendly and hard working they can’t do enough for you... The setting and the garden is just beautiful so relaxing with little seating areas all around.. a little honesty bar round the pool fantastic idea...... breakfast was delicious simple and just enough, homemade fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice.. fresh bread baps ham and cheese😋 we walked to Sao Brás every night for our evening meal, a nice walk, not far about 10/15mins prefect location for us.. i would definitely stay here again. We love it and let’s not forget keira with her friendly greetings what a well behaved girl didn’t see much of the cats unfortunately maybe next time..

Stayed 2 nights; enjoyed the casual atmosphere, friendly & helpfull hosts and clean-comfortable room. Waking up and jumping in the large pool and then having breakfast outside next to the orchard was a great start of the day. The BB is located close to the village, 25 min from the beach and borders the vast mountainous nature reserves

On the N2 you can find this historic Portuguese farmhouse (a Quanta) which has been renovated and changed into a comfortable boutique hotel (free WIFI of course) . But without good hosts you are nowhere and with Bert and Else you have found the greatest, with delicious Breakfast and knowledge/help about the surroundings (especially for cyclists). The rooms are well organized and good(!) beds and shower. The swimming pool and cozy sunbeds is a relief. Fruit is everywhere in the garden and you get the cakes and the jam of the home at breakfast.

Our second stay at Casal da Eira. Everything just as good as the first time. Comfortable room with easy access to pool and lounging area/bar. Excellent breakfasts - with dietary requirements well catered for. Bert and Els very friendly and extremely helpful in planning excursions, booking restaurants, etc. Definitely remains our first choice in this area of Portugal - with easy and swift access to eastern Algarve resorts/beaches, ferry over to Spain, or a trip into the southern Alentejo or the lovely countryside along the Rio Guadiana (border with Spain).

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic stay here. It was ideally located for all our needs. Bert and Els were fantastic hosts, always smiling and friendly. The rooms were excellent and the grounds ideal for relaxing. So lovely sitting outside our room eating breakfast in the sun
