The nearest entry point is only 15 minutes away but from memory we were not able to purchase tickets there. We purchased tickets from the main gate. But to clarify, Villa Sumrak is inside the national park so, after a short walk, you are able to see lakes and waterfalls before you get to main gates. You need tickets if you want to use the ferries/boats and buses to get around the park. You only need cash for the ticket and any food or souvenirs you may want to purchase (but these can be purchased with credit card - as can the tickets. We ate breakfast and dinner at Villa Sumrak. The food was great and plentiful. We didn't stay at a hotel as these are outside of the national park and require transport to drive to it. Villa Sumrak is right in the national park and the walk to the lakes is easy and beautiful
