Where to begin? Probably with the location. Dora 2 Studios is in the heart of Batsi, just a 2 minutes walk away from a beautiful, sandy beach and great restaurants. Nikos and Sissy (The owners) are the right kind of people for tourism business. They are attentive, detail oriented and very warm. I sent them a deposit for our stay in 2019 without knowing that our world would be shaken with a pandemic but could only visit Andros in August 2021. Our studio was spotless clean, great sized and had the most beautiful balcony ever. Do not ever hesitate, this is the place to stay when you are in Andros. Nikos, Sissy; it’s been a pleasure to knowing you. Thank you for everything.

For the second year running, we came back to this wonderful ANDROS island and the same studio run by Nikos and Sissy. Two warm people, welcoming and always at the care of the tenants. The studios with balcony are charming, spacious, clean and quietly located 5 minutes walk from bars, restaurants, convenience stores and the beach. The garden is beautifully decorated. Language is not a barrier either, Sissy speaks English, Italian and will be happy to speak in French. The little extra, you can rent a car on site. It is the perfect place to spend a seaside holiday and hike.

Dora II is the ideal place to stay in Andros. It is located in Batsi, a beautiful village by the sea. The rooms are clean, spacious, quiet and very close to the beach. Restaurants, shops, pubs and even a summer cinema are very close. Each room has a balcony, where you can enjoy your breakfast, or a drink at night. There are very useful hangers at the balcony where you dry your swimsuits or towels, something I rarely find in summer hotels. The owners of the studios are very friendly and will answer all your questions. They know where to guide you when the weather is windy and they will give you useful advice.
You will definitely love staying there and I am sure that you will enjoy your days in Batsi.

Booked through booking.com although you can contact the owners via e-mail and contact that way. Received an e-mail from Nora, the owner's daughter, a few days before we arrived advising that they had reduced our price to 38 euros a night even though we had already booked and agreed a price, also gave us directions on how to find the apartment. Dora 2 is about 100 metres down the road that runs next to the Chryssi Atkins hotel on Batsi beach The apartments are a good size and include a small kitchenette, air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was cleaned daily, sheets and towels changed every other day. There is not always someone on site but the contact number for the owner is in the door so if you need to contact them you can always do so. The owner was always around in the morning for a chat and recommendations. The apartments are only a hundred yards from the beach and 2 minutes from the centre of Batsi and the only noise is the cockerel's early morning call. The only thing lacking is a sea view. Highly recommended for the more independent traveller.

My friend and I spent three days and 2 nights at Dora 2 in mid September. The room was very comfortable and all the amenities were within walking distance. Mr Nikos was very hospitable and went the extra mile to help make our stay pleasant.He helped us to make arrangements to visit Chora and pointed us in the right direction in the way of restaurants that cater for vegetarian diets.
The wifi was excellent too. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Villa Dora 2 is a wonderful place to stay. Your hosts are Nikos and Sissy, but they are not your host.....you are made to feel as if you are family! Your room will be serviced every day and you will receive clean towels/sheets every other day. Nikos is always there.......followed by his cat! and he will assist you with whatever you need, a taxi or a bus ride to enable you to discover the island. Your location is aprox 200 yards from the Beach ( which is Golden Sands!) and also has endless Taverna's for you to enjoy your lunch, afternoon drinks, and evening meals. A perfect location for a perfect holiday!

Having stayed at Dora 1 studios 11years ago we thought we would try Dora 2 and we were not disappointed. Lovely studio, plenty of space and a nice balcony. Situated close to the beach and restaurants. The owners, Nora, Nicos and Cissi were very welcoming even mending my suitcase and bringing us some home made cake! Batsi is a beautiful place and an ideal place for a quiet relaxing holiday. I would highly recommend Dora 2 Studios.

Two houses make part of Dora Apartments: Dora I is situated in the higher part of the village on the hill, with beautiful view on the bay of Batsi. Dora II is on the same level as the beach, less then 100 m from it. We had a wonderful comfortable stay in one of these clean, quiet and usefully furnished apartments, with fridge, cooking plates, TV, wifi internet connection and balcony. The kindness of the owners and the nice conversations with them made our holiday a unique experience. We can strongly recommend this accommodation.
