TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach captivates many guests with its picturesque location, boasting stunning sunsets and clear waters. However, the hotel's remote setting may not appeal to those seeking nearby facilities. While the majority of travelers commend the cleanliness of rooms, some notice inconsistencies, particularly around the pool area. Opinions on the hotel's atmosphere and services are divided; evening entertainment and modern rooms are highlights for some, but others find the offerings lackluster. Additionally, guests have voiced concerns about extra fees affecting the perceived value and limited availability of amenities like sunbeds.

It's difficult to define what was wrong with our stay here at TUI blue Adriatic.. it was... fine...

The hotel itself it spotlessly clean. Our room was nice, the bathroom modern although the sliding door often opens by itself! The bed was very comfortable and the sea view beautiful. The air-conditioning was struggling a little as it was so hot outside so the room was comfortable but never really cool. There was a shower gel dispenser on the wall of the shower but no extras (conditioners or body lotions) The minibar (in room fridge) contained bottled water and a cling wrapped sandwich upon arrival (we arrived after midnight) but was never restocked again throughout our stay.

The staff are friendly throughout reception and the restaurant (special shout out to Mišo in the restaurant, who's joy in his work made me look forward to breakfast every morning!) But the bar staff are less than happy to be there... shame.

The food is generally very good but is very repetitive and there are no options. The one other restaurant seems to be serving the same food also, only there you get waited on instead of self service.

The pool area is always busy and people do indeed reserve beds from early on by putting towels on - but this happens literally everywhere so it's fine and expected.

This hotel is really far from everything. The local village, Živogošce, is absolutely teeny. We were here before we realised that public transport is virtually nonexistent in this part of Croatia so we were effectively trapped and at the mercy of the TUI trips.

We book our main holiday every year with TUI and will continue to do so but this was my first and last time to book a TUI specific hotel. I had expected (maybe wrongly) that it would be better than the non-TUI hotels but I was wrong. I found this holiday to be really impersonal and overall disappointing for the money we paid

A beautiful hotel.

The food was lovely, always lots of choice and always plenty left (we often ate late) and staff were really quick to take drinks orders.

The room was spotless every day it was cleaned, we had a double room with a sea view and are so glad we paid that bit extra for the view as it was stunning.

The staff were all extremely friendly and approachable and there was always TUI guides around if ever you needed anything.

I’ve seen a few negative comments about there not being much to do outside the hotel and whilst it’s true that the hotel is located in a quiet area (it does state this when booking) there are plenty of things to do. There are walks to different beaches both left and right from the hotel which are stunning, there are pedalos, paddle boards etc. There is also a shuttle bus to Makarska which is much more lively with plenty of bars/restaurants and only cost us €20 each to get there. On top of this there’s a huge variety of excursions offered by the TUI guides if you want to travel a bit further out.

The beach was lovely with plenty of sunbeds, we didn’t actually use the pool area until the last day and the only negative thing I would say is that it could’ve been cleaner around the sunbeds and quite a few of them were broken.

We had an amazing time and was so happy with the hotel, we would definitely come back X

Bit of a late review but here it is. This is based on our own personal experience.

I’ve had my eye on this hotel for a few years due to the swim up room views, the natural beauty of the hotels surroundings plus I love Croatia. I knew before coming it was a 4* and therefore amended my expectations to accommodate this.

We had arranged a private transfer to the hotel as we knew it was a long journey. Absolutely breathtaking. We had emailed the hotel in advance to request a particular block and an end room and when we arrived, this had been accommodated. Great start. However, when seeing the room, we realised the sun did not hit until at least 4pm. We don’t pay extra money for a pool that we can only benefit from for 2 hours a day. We did have to kill time for three hours without a room but we were then given another beautiful end room with sun most of the day so that was very much appreciated and we were very happy. The sunsets from here were just magical.

We booked for the last two weeks of the season. Sadly it was quite obvious that the staff were counting down the days to the end. When I say quite obvious, many verbally expressed it. I didn’t mind them saying this as they still did their best but it was the lack of available options that let it down. Delivery of service and full drinks menus should be the same at the beginning of the season right up until the end as everyone is still a paying guest.

Food - I wasn’t a fan of the food at all. Everything was repetitive and maybe this was due to being end of season. I am not keen on salt and as another review stated, the food was over salted. My partner on the other hand loves salt so he was happy every night especially with the huge selection of fish.

The Al a Carte restaurant was a nice change from the buffet.

We went to a fabulous restaurant called Jeny. We highly recommend it. It’s in Tucepi, about a 20 minute cab ride from the hotel. Make sure you book in advance as it gets busy.

Cocktails - Sadly, as said above, many items for cocktails had run out. They did still offer them but a lot more limited. I was more than happy with the white wine.

Beach - Take beach shoes. The sea is absolutely worth it. Great memories of being in the calm, clear water and seeing fish all around.

You literally have to walk up and down the mountain for food, bars and the reception which wasn’t an issue for us but just to make people aware.

Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful time. I cannot praise the bar staff, cleaners, waiters and waitresses at all meal times and the general maintenance and management staff enough. Although as much as the reception staff fulfilled our needs, we felt it was mainly done so through gritted teeth.

We may go back purely for the peaceful room and the view but it would not be for the food or at the end of season.

We have arrived home after staying for 7 nights at this hotel and enjoyed a restful week.
There were a few issues with this hotel and without wanting to be negative need to point a few things out for others looking for a holiday as we checked out reviews before booking this hotel.
We were very pleased with the hotel on arrival, nice clean spacious room with a sea view, this however was an extra charge to upgrade.
Our hotel safe did not work and although the staff tried to fix it after 2 reports, they could not and we could not use it for the duration of our stay.
Also to mention, as stated on the hotel website there was a mini bar in the room.
There were no drinks in our FRIDGE. We were given 4 small bottled water for our stay for the week, any other water we needed we collected from the bar.
The food available was nice although after visiting many all inclusive hotels we found it to be quite repetitive and as already mentioned in previous reviews no Croatian specialities.
The drinks available were plentiful although these were local brands, premium drinks such as Gordon's gin or Jack Daniels were only available at an extra charge and there was only 1 lager available provided with this all inclusive.
After staying at the hotel for 3 nights we arrived from the beach to find a letter in our room stating that from the next morning the sunbeds on the beach would need to be paid for. This was 12 € for a sunbed and €8 for an umbrella.
After a lovely carefree few days, this caused much frustration for us and many unhappy guests.
Guests needed to wait at the gate to get a sunbed at the pool from around 7.30am. Any late guests who wanted a bed by the pool were disappointed as they were all taken so some had to pay for the sunbeds on the beach.
This for all guests would/could prove a problem financially and bigger family groups a nightmare.
This hotel was not cheap however when we booked we were happy to pay this however with this extra charge I would not recommend this to friends or family.

Dear Dolgoch2016, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found our hotel to be nice and our rooms to be clean and spacious. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the safe in your room. We understand the importance of such amenities for our guests and we are sorry that despite our efforts, we were unable to fix it during your stay. We will ensure that this issue is addressed promptly to prevent such occurrences in the future. Regarding the mini bar, we apologize for any misunderstanding. Our policy is to provide initial complimentary water bottles, with additional beverages available at the bar. We will make sure to clarify this on our website to avoid any confusion in the future. We appreciate your feedback about our food and beverage offerings. We strive to provide a variety of options for our guests and we will take your comments into consideration as we continually work to improve our services. The Sunbeds that are available on the beach in front of the hotel, are provided by a third-party vendor. We understand your frustration about the change in policy regarding the sunbeds on the beach. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and will review our communication process to ensure our guests are informed well in advance of any changes. We value your feedback and will use it to fine-tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit, we can exceed your expectations. Sincerely, Andrijana Bakalić Front Office Manager

First impressions were positive, the hotel is in a beautiful position with incredible views. The room (superior with sea view) was clean and had a breathtaking view out over the sea to the neighboring islands and the air conditioning worked perfectly keeping the room always cool. However.............

Maybe it's just us because other reviews seem to think the food is good, but to us it really wasn't, everything is massively over cooked, if you can't tell chicken from Pork from Tuna then that's a big clue. The restaurant also closes at just 9pm meaning there is constant pressure to leave the pool each day to get showered and changed for the evening meal. They even close the pool bar early at 6pm presumably to help pressure people into leaving early.

Down by the pool there are nowhere near enough sun beds, and half of those that are there are broken and unsafe. When we complained to the reception they told us to talk to the "pool boys". We dutifully did this and were told "what can we do, we have what we have, we have been telling the hotel for ever and nothing happens". This meant we had to use the "beach" but there is no beach as such, just a steep gradient down to the sea covered in stone chippings so you WILL need beach shoes to protect your feet. Great, so now we're on a 2 week fully inclusive and can't even relax on a sun bed. After 3 days of this I'd had enough so broke the hotel rule about reserving sunbeds and got up at 8am each morning to put our towels out but we were guiltily aware that this meant someone else was suffering as we had the first 3 days.

There is no pool entertainment at all, I do quite enjoy the social side of daytime activities but there was none to be had other than water polo which I noticed people playing 1 afternoon (why didn't the entertainment team come round telling everyone?). Watered down beer and cocktails meant there was no liveliness at all around the pool.

The evening entertainment was DIRE, Really really bad, although there was live music on 2 nights but very amateurish.

All this leads to the biggest issue of all, the hotel is around 20 miles from any life whatsoever. They'll tell you "Igrane" is just a 20 minute walk away (It's 3.1Km and even as keen walkers it took us double that) but even there there is no music, no life, just a strip of lifeless bars and restaurants.

After 6 days we'd had enough and hired a car, booked a hotel and drove up to Split for a couple of days which was absolutely brilliant, lively, interesting and a good choice of edible food. This isn't necessarily what you expect to have to do having paid a premium price for an all inclusive holiday but that is on us, many reviews comment on its' isolation so we should have chosen differently.

In summary, if all you want to do is sleep for 14 days in a beautiful location, and your taste buds and jaw bone muscles are equally sedated, then you will probably really enjoy this hotel. For us, it was just too quiet, the food not acceptable and failure to perform basic maintenance/replacement of broken sunbeds is disgraceful in a premium hotel.

Just arrived from the Rixos Premium in Dubrovnik and the contrast could not have been greater. Whilst we waited for our room the warning signs were already there in the lobby with statements that you had to pay 10 euros for a sun-bed and a further 5 euros for an umbrella on the beach. The place was dirty although the rooms were cleaned every day, often used glasses and cups were left behind and the pool area was disgusting with no cleaning of sun-beds and if you managed to get back to the same area the following day there were still remnants of food left from the day before. I state about getting back to the same area because the rush for sun-beds started at 7.00am and unless you were down by 8.00am you stood little chance of finding a sun-bed. The reason for the charges is that the hotel either failed or forgot to tender for the beach area so there was simply not enough space. The pool bar is a tin shack full of flies which the bar staff watch go in and out of the bottles of drink and over the food. Often the food in the restaurant was inedible and most of the dishes were placed in large metal urns which then stewed for some considerable time; you literally had to wander around to see if anything was suitable and at times you simply went hungry. Most of the drinks were an extra charge, well the decent ones were which for an all inclusive is a bit of a surprise and rather than have fresh bottled water delivered to your room you had to go to Reception to pick it up. The place is in an isolated spot and there are few other facilities nearby although it is a picturesque and beautiful location. There is a very small gym but most of the equipment is broken and Tui claim that this is a 4 star hotel! Complaint made but apparently you have to provide evidence to Tui that their hotel is rubbish!

We would give this hotel 3.5 to 5 🌟 We spent a HUGE amount of money on this holiday, but sadly, the issues we experienced didn’t justify the spend.

Some aspects, we would rate 5 and others as barely 1! Hence an overall 3.5.

We travelled with 2 older teenage young adults.

We received a warm welcome and shown to our beautiful rooms with sea views and for our children, we had booked them a room with a pool (very nice of us!)

The hotel is lovely, in a stunning location with unrivalled views and breathtaking sunsets from terraces and bars.

The entertainment was of a good standard, the TUI reps were very friendly and we especially enjoyed the quizzes, waterpolo, pool tables and board games.

The pool 🏊 was lovely and the bar was convenient. Just about bagged a sunbed each day, (very annoying that people reserve beds 🤷‍♀️) but as we had our own swim-up pool, we were able to swap and change our location.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

❌We had an issue with the pool room (3003) which after a day started to smell of sewerage/dead animal. We would give the hotel a rating of 1 star for the blatant denial of the foul smell, but 5 stars for finding an alternative room to move to the following day.

We were offered 3 other rooms (3001, 3004 and 3005) in the same block, all had the same smell, and eventually, after some persistence, we were moved to a different block, which was much better. We spoke to the neighbours (3002 and 3103) and to families in the rooms above and they all experienced the same smelly issues, so the initial response of “well, we haven’t had any other complaints” simply wasn’t true and we were made to feel as if it was our ‘faulty senses of smell”.

The food was very hit and miss.
❌lots of cabbage/stews/goulash style dishes
❌nothing really going together - a curry, no rice, meatballs, no spaghetti, with Veal in Coffee sauce being the ultimate low point!!!
❌Keeping food looking good and hot when sitting in hot plates for a period of time without it looking like a sweaty mess
✅ great breakfast, but don’t expect traditional English breakfast ingredients.
✅ good salad, fresh fruit selection
✅ Amazing desserts
✅ Friendly, hardworking, attentive staff

Our critique is probably very harsh, as we are all returning home heavier 😆 , but important to outline that you can’t be a picky eater. We always found something to eat and some people’s plates were piled high!

With the smelly room situation aside, we would rate this hotel 4.5, with half a point being lost from the mish-mash of food options.

Brilliant stay , all the staff are supper helpful and friendly and give brilliant service . A big thanks to the housekeeping team especially the woman who serviced our room all ways had a smile and would always stop to speak. The food was excellent and very good service from the F&B team . Only down side would be having to pay extra for different spirits (named sprits and beers) and cocktails . 100% would stay here again !!!

It’s now been nearly 3 weeks since we got home and we just want to return. Like many, after reading some reviews we were a bit doubtful but so glad we stuck with it. This hotel was just the best place to relax and chill. If you’re in any doubt the ignore the naysayers this place is just heaven (although just a couple of niggles).

A - being all inclusive it’s a shame not all the drinks are free, you have to pay extra for premium brands.
B - The hotel needs to address the location of sun beds as from what we saw there’s plenty of scope to make a beautiful section away from the pool
C- the pool bar needs updating, the staff are hard working but the space they work in is lacking

Now for the good bits - we booked a swim up room and if your budget allows then do it. We spent our mornings in our pool and on our verandah and after lunch headed to the beach. Beach shoes are a must but the sea is just, well just, beautiful to sit and swim in. We were aware of the whole paying for sun beds issue so we took our own beach chairs and parasol which gave us the freedom to choose where we sat. The sunsets were amazing. We didn’t partake of any activities as it’s not our thing but there were plenty on offer. The food was lovely and yes the staples (salad, pizza etc) were always there but always a great choice. Hubby had catfish, shark, mussels, salmon, hake …I could go on!
The culinarium was lovely and worth a visit. We did a couple of trips, the sunset cruise to Makarska and the day trip to Dubrovnik which we highly recommend but take plenty of water, cool towels and fans if you have them as it was extraordinarily hot the day we visited. Makarska was worth a visit but definitely at night however if you go on the boat make sure you sit at the back as everyone at the front got drenched. As you look at the sea to the right there are a couple of guys who offer parasailing and jet skiing, we did both and can thoroughly recommend, we paid cash for these.

The staff went above and beyond and were always very pleasant. Thea’s coffee bar was a must for iced coffees. The little gift shop stocks a good range of things but only takes cash so be aware.

All in all a fantastic holiday, we look forward to returning some day.

This was our second visit to resort after a few years. After a 3 hour transfer in 40 degree heat with no offer of a bottle of water. We where hustled into bar area which with had dirty table and used glasses still littering the area. We filled in our registration form and was told that as restaurant had finished lunch service and that sandwiches where available. As our flight had been delayed twice would it not have been possible for restaurant to be kept open and something a bit more substantial made available.
We booked a superior double room but found it hard to find anything superior about it. The furniture was worn and the decoration was tired.
There is a mini fridge which had 1 bottle of water. On our previous visit the fridge would have soft drinks, beers and waters which where replenished every other day. There was also a number of spirits on a wall mounted mini bar, these had been removed. I honestly thought i had been given the wrong room.
The main restaurant closes for dinner at 9 0'clock. The staff start clearing away food around 8.15 to 8.30 so you need to get in early if you want to enjoy the food. After a few days we had to get all courses in one go.
The a la carte restaurant is worth a visit.
The pool area is looking tired and in need of refurbishment. It is over crowded due to the issues on the beach.
We did have to get up early and out if you wanted a sun lounger and umbrella. There is no drinks service around the pool and very little atmosphere, no music, limited drink options and limited snacks.
The evening entertainment was disappointing, They had a movie night where they showed a movie from the 80s with some pop corn in paper cones. Limited seating on terrace.
We felt you where constantly on the clock from the moment you wake up, to get a bed and something to eat.
We feel the hotel is nothing like it was on our 1st visit. Service and standards at the hotel have slipped greatly. If I had look at the reviews before I had booked this trip i would not have chosen to go back to hotel. I think the management have had enough time to resolve a number of issues raised, not just by myself but previous reviews. I could not recommend this hotel very disappointing. Not worth the money at all.
TUI Should start to take some notice of there clients not just look to get the most money out of them for minimal return.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We are deeply sorry to hear about the numerous issues you encountered during your visit. Your experience does not reflect the high standards we strive to maintain, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment you faced. Our restaurant was open and waiting for your arrival, however, as your flight was delayed, due to safety and health reasons, we needed to close it. However, we prepared cold snacks for whole group. We feel sorry that you were not satisfied with our offer. Regarding your room, we are sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations. The mini bar content is up to BLUE standard, and for years now we do not have soft drinks in it. This should be visible to you in the description when you booked. We feel sorry if any misunderstanding happened. The early clearing of food in the main restaurant and the lack of variety are also concerning. We offer rotation menu to cater all guests needs, however, we feel sorry if we did not met yours. Our main goal is our guest satisfaction and our chefs would gladly assisted you in any way if they knew . We appreciate your positive note about the a la carte restaurant, but we are sorry to hear about the condition of the pool area and the lack of atmosphere and service there. We will look into refurbishing the pool area and improving the overall guest experience around the pool. Your feedback about the evening entertainment and the overall feeling of being “on the clock” is also valuable. We will work on providing more engaging and varied entertainment options and ensuring that our guests feel relaxed and unhurried during their stay. We understand your frustration and disappointment, especially given your positive experience during your previous visit. Please know that we take your comments seriously and will use them to make necessary improvements. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with the exceptional experience you deserve. Thank you once again for your feedback. Sincerely, Andrijana Bakalić Front Office Manager

I would recommend taking your own hairdryer. The one we had in the room wasn't very powerful and not the fixed type one. I usually don't take mine but I would take it if we went to the hotel again. We had tea / coffee making facilities in the room

We did not have to pay as included with our package, but that was in May of this year.
