this is a large hotel, take a while to walk around. we spent two nights after 4 nights in bora bora before we flew home. we had a panoramic ocean view room. the good: - beautiful hotel grounds, garden like. great ocean view from the lobby balcony, awe-inspiring sunset if you happen to be there at the right time - nicely appointed rooms, beautiful ocean view from the balcony - pool side breakfast is nice - plenty of lounge chairs along the ocean bank, spread out in the garden like waterfront - complimentary shower room after guests check out, on the same day, i guess - about 1.7km (1 mile) from a carrefour store, half 900m (0.5 mile) from a champion supermarket and a covid test site the not so good: - the onsite lagoonarium is a bit small and shallow, still good for fish watching - kayak and peddle board available for a fee? never seen the shop open, walking by twice - no beach, only a sandy swimming pool by the ocean

We have stayed here several times after our island hopping and before our 8:30am flight back to the US. It is close to the airport and has overwater bungalows for those who are not quite ready to go back to normal hotel stays. The service is functional and the restaurants are fine. I would recommend simply walking into the Le Lotus restaurant - there have been times when we've called to make a reservation and they say they are full; and yet seated us when we walked up.

The hotel is well maintained and located in front of the magnificent lagoon. We loved staying there for a few days and enjoying the activities of the hotel. The staff are lovely and charming. We will definitely go back there.

From an early check in to our room at 7 am , through our stay to a late check out on a sold out day the staff were amazing. The grounds are magnificent, including part of the lagoon with pretty fish of every hue. The landscaping is immaculate . Many gorgeous tropical bushes and trees adorn the property. The pools offered something for everyone , I stood , submerged at the edge of the infinity pool, watching waves break over the reef . Our room with a gorgeous ocean view was spacious, comfortable and in excellent condition. Food at the resort was outstanding. Starting with a bountiful ,sumptuous breakfast buffet laden with tropical fruits, French pastries, an amazing array of cheeses and cold meats, and hot dishes. The Tiki bar served excellent cocktails, as did the in pool bar. Both restaurants at the hotel served excellent meals. In the more casual restaurant we sampled lagoon fish in a banana purée, sweet and sour pork ribs and excellent deserts . On our final night we visited their Lotus restaurant The lobster/ langoustine ravioli was amazing, as was the local fish in a hazelnut butter. We will be back

The only thing being as generous as a 2 for this hotel is the amazing concierge Day. She was fantastic and went above and beyond on multiple occasions. In summary.. Location: 5 Staff: 3 Cleanliness: 2 Food: 0 Location: it is close to the airport, market, decent restaurants and has a great view of Moorea and sunsets. Hard to beat in this island. Staff: Everyone was very friendly. Some of the staff were pretty useless tho, including the front desk and Tiki bar. Some of the most spectacularly incompetent service I’ve experienced, anywhere. Cleanliness: This hotel is showing its age, which we don’t really care about. In fact, some of the dated decor is almost charming at hotels. Our room had a bizarre layout, was very dated but appeared clean at first glance. On our first night, after we enjoyed the horrible food and drinks at the Tiki bar, went back to our room and tucked ourselves into a sand filled bed. The lower half of our bed was full of sand,.. obviously from the feet of the previous guests. Read that back… sand from the feet of the previous guests. Gross. So gross. Of course, we were told the sheets are changed between guests, but this was clearly sand from the previous guests feet. Honourable mention: The adult-ish pool (they keep the kids tamed at this pool) has a great view, and a very good swim up bar. As well, the staff in the lobby bar are excellent. This hotel is a pit stop on the cruise journey. If you’re staying a night to/from your cruise perhaps you’d find it acceptable. This is not a destination hotel, and you’d make a mistake treating us as such. We won’t be back.
