Detailed Reviews
You cannot go wrong in choosing the Ritterstübli for your next meal in Hasliberg. The meat was prepared to perfection - beautifully tender and melt-in-your-mouth - the portions are generous and the sides are the best around. It's hard to choose between the vegetables, the homemade spätzli and the rotkohl... best to choose several and share them around. Each meal was wonderfully presented, with a selection of fresh fruit as garnish. The wine list proved to be a real treasure trove, and we were grateful for the suggestions which were spot-on. A number of games and colouring options kept the smaller guests happy too, while the cosy atmosphere encouraged us to stay and enjoy dessert.

Excellent welcome by Katrin, who is the soul of the Gasthof, friendly and flexible to make feel the guests at home,
We were in an apartment (no. 6) with a spacious bathroom, a kitchen, dining-space, with a and room for 7 people to sleep, all in wood, excellent quality/price relationship. Dogs are more than welcome ( they love them).
Very good dinner at the restaurant run by Martial, try the Pasta special du chef, much better than many Italian restaurants!
What could be improve: stores in the windows, the light enters as son as the sun is up!

We stayed there recently - lovely peaceful setting, calm and quiet. Wonderful hosts - Katrin & Marcel who are practically running the Inn by themselves. They are 2 warm, lovely people who go out of their way to look after your needs. The restaurant - Marcel is always cooking some delicious stuff - still remember the yummy omelettes he customized for us - delicious, it will be one of the high points of our Swiss trip!
We loved the drive from Meiringen, getting to Hassliberg through the wooded winding roads. Rooms were a bit basic, with a bathroom which could have been better, but then maybe it doesn't really matter if you are looking for a summer time solitude.
The views outside were very nice, of the Eiger mountain.

stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night. Very comfortable bed and breakfast but the real star quality is the food. Beautiful swiss food from the Bernese Oberland with a high premium placed on local ingredients from the Haslital. You need to walk to be able to eat!

We stayed at the Ritterstubli over Christmas and New Years 2011-12. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our hosts, Marcel and Katrin, were warm and welcoming and attended to our every need in the snowy winter. The room was delightfully cozy, with comfortable beds, an efficient sink, adequate storage and a pleasant clean shower/bath area. Best of all, was the magnificent view of the Berner Oberland from our very own beds. We loved the classic Swiss breakfast of breads, cold cuts, fruit, coffee, yogurt and much more. Hasliberg is a quaint Swiss jewel of a town. We spent our days skiing the many alpine slopes with options for all levels of skiers. The gondola is a short walk from the hotel and the Ritterstubli offers ski gear storage. We returned in the evening to a gourmet dinner at restaurant Ritterstubli. The restaurant is family friendly with food rivaling anything we found in Europe. Marcel and Katrin are wondrous cooks; you will not be disappointed! Many amazing dishes are available along with my personal favorite, the classic Swiss Rosti. The overall experience was great, we highly recommend the Ritterstubli.

I have tried all restaurants in Hasliberg and Ritterstubli is by far the best restaurent. Excellent food, My personal favourite is the Lam covered in cheese. They also offer a great selection on home-made sauces. You should defiantly try their local Hasliberg soup (made from fresh hay). The service is very friendly and personal. Ask for their personal wine recommendation.

The hosts, Katrin and her husband, are wonderful and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Happy to chat and give advice about the best locations to ski or visit while in town.
The accommodation is basic, but warm and comfortable, with only 8 rooms available. The best part is the restaurant downstairs!
The food there is the best in Hasliberg and being able to roll out of bed and downstairs at 9am for a lazy breakfast is a great way to start the day.
It's about a 5 minute walk to the main gondola, but if you're skiing you can drop off one of the cross country trails on the way home and pop out close to the hotel.
Free wi-fi is available in the rooms and restaurant.
You can also store your gear in the restaurant if you arrive early or leave late in the day.
Make sure you also say hello to the friendly local cats who sit outside the restaurant at night.

Although the #2 room we stayed in is adequate, it is a little basic with no mirror over the wash basin for wet shaving etc.
As the building is all wood, we could hear other guests moving about and beds creaking.
All this was more than made up for by our hosts, the dining room meals, the superb breakfast buffet and the location.
I would suggest having a car as Hasliberg is a little far out from the main tourist attractions.
All in all, an exceptional experience and we could not have asked for better hosts.
