Due to the current circumstances this was a last minute booking and boy did we hit the jackpot! The Porto Lygia is a small family run hotel in the most idilic location, it is hidden just off the main coastal road in a quiet location with a pleasant pool and its own private beach . It’s a family owned hotel with a laid back relaxed vibe where everyone can’t do enough for you to make your holiday perfect. Rooms are spacious spotlessly clean with a large patio for you to relax and take in the stunning views . Breakfast was buffet style with everything you could want , large selection of cereal, cakes , pastries, cheeses, cold meats the local Lefkada salami is extra tasty! There’s also a large selection of fresh fruit. There is a bright airy bar area where drinks are similar price to the local tavernas . There’s a good luncheon menu with everything made to order would highly recommended the club sandwich. There are plenty of Tavernas for you to explore for your evening meal all within walking distance. The bus stop for Lefkada and Nydri is literally just outside the hotel on the main road and the fares are very reasonable. We are looking forward to returning in 2021 and would like to thank you all for making our last minute get away so memorable.

We have stayed here for the last 7 trips to Lefkada and it is a great hotel in a beautiful location, peaceful relaxing place and everyone from the owners to every other member of staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great and you can return as often as you like which my young sons did for their bowls of fresh melon each day. Location great a 10 min taxi ride from Lefkas town or approx 20mins from Nidri but I would recommend a car to explore both sides of the island.
We have loved every visit to this hotel and hopefully returning again next year.

From the initial entry in to the reception area we knew we had made the right decision to holiday at Porto Lydia Hotel. The view out over the pool area to the sea was stunning, and that was just our check in! The staff, from the Manager/ owner to the cleaning staff, were all genuinely pleasant and cheery and nothing was to much trouble for them, such a big credit to the hotel. Our room was clean, and serviced daily with fresh sheets and towels, it had the luxury of a small fridge to keep our beverages cold. The view from our balcony was so beautiful. The Hotels position is ideal for a short walk to some lovely small tavernas. The beach and pool area was well equipped with plenty of sun beds and shady areas if you need to get out of the sunshine. Overall this has been one of the most relaxing holidays and would recommend it to anyone who loves a quiet and peaceful time. Thanks again to all the staff.

We stumbled upon this hotel last minute, kind of by mistake and reserved two nights, but we ended up staying for 7 nights, so I guess that sums it up (and we had other alternatives...). The rooms are nice and spacious (the shower is not so much). There are balconies, many of which with a sea view. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a private beach - sometimes it's enough to stay there than go see the famous beaches outside. Breakfast was good, relatively varied, although having it 7 times may be a bit too much. Service was great - the two cousin owners Makis & Sotiris are nice and helpful. Also, the location is strategic - close to Lefkada, but not inside the crowds, easy to get to the rest of the island.

Enjoyed our 5th visit as much as ever! This is a small, extremely comfortable and extremely clean simple hotel in a great position with a large grassy area between pool and small stony beach (swim shoes recommended) Loads of sunbeds available enabling you to select your preferred position. Breakfast is plentiful (no hot food) and constantly replenished. All the staff are lovely and extremely attentive, either Sotiris and Makis (the owners) are there all the time and will help with anything you need. Bus stops at end of drive - €1.60 to either Nidri or Lefkas Town for larger choice of eateries and shops. Easy flat walk to several local Tavernas - our favourite is Sto Limoni. The Pharmacy and a Gift shop are a 5 minute walk and the Supermarket about 10 minutes.

Me and my husband stayed here from 8th-18th May , although this wasn't the original hotel that we had booked to stay at , we were placed here by Easyjet as our original hotel according to Easyjet didn't meet their standards.
Where to begin a lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings
The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was to much bother
Rooms were cleaned every day clean towels and linen only draw back was the shower was on the small side although not a real issue.
Breakfast - was such a lovely selection fruit ,bread, cakes, biscuits ,pastries,
cheese, meat, salad, eggs and cereal
Not a lot of variety at lunchtime Greek salad ,club or toasted sandwich
As we were there at the start of the season many of the restaurants were not open ,saying that we were always able to find somewhere to eat.
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday then this hotel and village is the ideal place to stay .

The best recommendation I can give is that I would be very happy to go back to hotel Porto Ligia.
The location is great, with the crystal clear sea lapping right up to the hotels lawn, the sun bathing area, whether on the grass terrace, or under the shade of an olive tree making for a chilled out time. You can also have a dip in the pool to cool off.
The hotel is very well run. Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are basic but clean tidy and functional, rooms with a sea views are a must. Food whether it is the good breakfast selection, plenty of fresh fruit and pastries or lunchtime snacks, the greek salad is amazing, means you can stay in the hotel, by the pool or sea and want for nothing.
Ligia is a small place with about five or six taverna's, all within easy walking of the hotel, all on the water front and all very much the same in terms of quality (good) and price (reasonable). The nearest supermarket is about a 10 min walk from the hotel.
Two recommendation are book a room with a sea view and bring beach/jelly shoes for the pebbly beach.

We visited for 3 weeks in September. This being our 4th stay and it won’t be our last . Family run hotel in the most idyllic location. All rooms have a balcony and are spotless with everything you need ( including a fridge). The hotel is set back a decent distance from the road so there is no traffic noise . Very good continental style breakfast. Local produce and excellent variety. You can also get various hot and cold dishes during the day and evening from the bar . The bar is well equipped and the prices are very reasonable. The owners Sotiris and Makis are there with the sole purpose of making your stay extremely enjoyable. Both they and the entire staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. If you want a relaxing break in an ideal location which is easily accessible to both Lefkas town and Nidri then this is the place for you . Enjoy!

I have just returned from Porto Lygia. What a wonderful place. This a a 3 star hotel therefore basic bedroom and shower room but the sttention to detail by all members of staff in all departments was worthy of 5 stars. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful. Perfectly positioned on the beach front with lots of Great tavernas in easy walking distance.. The hotel breakfast was beautifully fresh with a varied selection for a continental breakfast.. Thank you for a lovely relaxing week, and no travel problemswith Jet2
Beautiful crisp bed linen changed alternate days

We loved our holiday for so many reasons. The hotel has a small lawned area and then there is the sea. A lovely place to soak up the sun, but you will need swim shoes to take a dip, as the pebbles are vicious!
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a very good selection of breads, cakes, cheese, cold meats and fruit. It was lovely sitting enjoying a leisurely breakfast just yards from the sea.
Every day we would take a long walk along the coast and stop off on the way back to buy some snacks from the two bakeries. There are also several small supermarkets which we used to buy drinks etc.
Within a short stroll from the hotel there is a small harbour with about six restaurants.
We had some great meals which were reasonably priced.
The staff at the hotel were delightful and so helpful, especially on the last day when our tour operator booked our airport transfer for October 2021!!
The owner helped me make numerous calls to sort it out, including two calls to the U.K. Exemplary service.
Highly recommend this hotel. We shall be back.
