Standing on a steep hillside just below the handsome old church in the small agricultural village of La Guancha, this beautifully restored, 100-year old village house affords absolutely breathtaking views over fields and vineyards down to the coast. To enable guests to make the most of this panoramic outlook, the large garden that surrounds the house has been lovingly landscaped, creating several distinct areas in which to relax and unwind. The house itself is divided into two self-contained dwellings. At one end is a cosy apartment for a couple, comprising a bedroom with twin beds and a small seating area, a separate kitchen with fridge, hob and microwave oven, and a shower room. The main house is very spacious and comfortable, consisting of a large living-dining room with open fireplace and TV, a fitted kitchen (open plan to the lounge) equipped with hob, oven, microwave and fridge, a twin-bedded room with shower room on the ground floor plus a bedroom with double bed and bathroom on the upper floor. Many delightful original features of this very traditional Canarian house have been retained, and carefully chosen antique furnishings, ornaments and old photographs lend the interiors the warmth and character of a real family home. The garden is shared between the two properties, but is large enough for both parties to enjoy their own space and privacy. There is a communal barbecue area, as well as a laundry room with a washing machine.

... we actually found the Casa Cho Juan by chance, when we specified it in the search engine, we didn't want any food, and we didn't want much special service either. From the alternatives, we have chosen the house in La Guancha, and were really pleasantly surprised in every way! The nice hosts, Maria and Juan received us very warmly, after the property was explained to us, we were able to enjoy the wonderful view from the terrace! The room is simply furnished, but everything we needed was there, a small kitchen with enough dishes & co, bathroom with shower and bidet. La Guancha is not a tourist town, but you can buy everything you need, you couldn't really explore a lot on foot, there are such steep street ascents or descents, so you won't get very far without a car. Every morning (with coffee), like afternoons and evenings (with wine), and otherwise at any other time, it was tremendous fun for us, the wonderful view from the terrace, over steeply sloping terraces to the Atlantic, or after Back to enjoy over a church on El Teide! And the calm, being far from a tourist event and enjoying the beautiful surroundings was just great! But also the house itself as well as the garden, which is over 3  Going upstairs is just beautiful !!! ... a big thank you to Maria and Juan, we really, really enjoyed your visit, if we visit Tenerife again, we will definitely come back to Casa Cho Juan!

We stayed 5 days in a room for two. We were very lucky, because we stayed alone and all terrace was just for us the whole time. Owners were super nice, super helpful people, but they didn't speak in English (Spanish or little German). Kitchen was small, but with all equipment including juicer! Very small shower, not for tall people, but there was plenty of towels and hair dryer. We were very happy about this apartment, because we came there very tired and we found some snacks, juice, everything what you need to feel like at home. One minus personally for me was just lizards, they were comming in to terrace, since I am afraid of them it was a bit stressful :) Garden was amazing, for every nature and flower lover its a paradise !

This is such a wonderful place to stay. Besides its great location and stunning views the apartments are also well equipped and nothing is missing for a relaxing holiday. We received such a warm welcome with a filled fridge and fresh flowers in the room and a selection of maps and books. We will definitely come back!
