This is a small friendly hotel that we thought was excellent value for money. The view from our room was to die for. The location is perfect for walking both locally and further afield as the bus stops virtually outside the hotel. The island has a remarkably cheap bus service which makes walking easy. There was a good buffet breakfast and a kettle was supplied in the room to make drinks. There was a fridge so it was possible to have milk from the breakfast buffet. There were lots of local dishes in the restaurant across the road which is owned by the same people. There are 2 other bars with food in the village as well as a bakery and 2 supermarkets. We loved it here.

Hotel is adequate, staff are friendly & the breakfast was ok. Rooms are showing signs of age, paint peeling, the odd damp patch & not all the lights had bulbs in. But is was clean, & the bed was comfortable. We also had a balcony which was huge! The hotel location is good, but if you have a hire car you are never far from anywhere in El Hierro. Would I stay again - yes, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Unique Island....at the moment. Some really lovely viewsof the other Canaries on a good day, atmospheric on a misty one. Hotel is fine, one accepts less in beautiful places where everything has to be brought in at expense. Rooms are good and clean for sure. Worth going and worth going here too

We stayed here as part of a walking holiday organised by a holiday company. The hotel is located on the main road running through Mocanal (but this is El Hierro so there is limited traffic and noise was not a problem). The rooms and bathrooms are quite large but the furnishings are a little sparse and the rooms a little dated. This being El Hierro, the rooms do not have central heating but there was a small electric heater, which was adequate even for January. Our room had a balcony with a view over the ocean, which we enjoyed. Breakfast, taken in the hotel lobby area, was OK and continental in nature. Dinner was at a restaurant across the road - perhaps the same proprietors - and was good and the service friendly and engaging. The WIFI works only in the hotel lobby and only patchily, if at all, in the rooms, which can be inconvenient. It is a perfectly adequate place to spend a night or perhaps two. The reception is not always staffed so plan ahead.

Room Tip: Rooms vary - choose one with an ocean view. Some face main road - but noise not an issue.

nice hotel with view on the sea. Even though the hotel is simply decorated, the atmosphere was quite good, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide selection of items. Very convenient location to visit the island. The restaurant on the other side of the road had one of the best Mojo we had on the island, and the fish was very fresh and nicely prepared.
