Everything was great, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. Great environment, and no complaints. Food was delicious, drying too excellent. Definitely stay here for some great hospitality and comfort.

Keld is a nice lodge in the beautiful Upper Swaledale. Really nice staff, great food but the room ..... tiniest I've seen. A terrible smell, it was directly above the drying room (probably a bonus in Winter?) Shared bathroom. Poor wifi.

Keld is a small community high in the Yorkshire Dales. Keld Lodge Hotel used to be a owned by YHA. It is now much more a hotel than a hostel. It caters mainly for walkers and is on the Coast to Coast path and the Pennine Way. There is a comfortable louge and dining room. We had no phone signal... More

Beautifully set amid the Yorkshire Dales this is a welcoming oasis for coast to coast hikers, hikers on the pennine way, cyclists and other travelers. The lodge is well equipped with a drying room; lodge rooms are small clean and cozy will with good views. Wifi is only available in the parlor room. Breakfast is standard and dinner is exceptional.

This former shooting lodge sits looking over the village of Keld. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and perfect for a good nights sleep. Both Nick and James were really helpful and friendly. A varied choice of evening meal which would satisfy the most hungry of walkers/travellers. And a hearty cooked breakfast whilst looking out over Keld before setting off in... More

Tiny isolated Keld has limited accomodation options for weary Coast to Coast walkers - or Pennine Way walkers too since the paths cross at this point - but Keld Lodge doesn't have to be categorised as "it'll have to do" as it is rather an interesting stop. A former hunting lodge there is a slightly formal air about the place.... More

Walking the Pennine Way and stayed 1 night. Friendly staff. Cosy rooms and good food. Popular place to eat and bookings are necessary in the evening if not staying in the Inn. Great Yorkshire views and would certainly stay again if in the area. Parking is on the road.

Good rooms, restaurant and very friendly staff together with beautiful scenery make this a place to return to. We particularly liked the signs advising that dogs should not be washed in the shower and the excellent drying room was a bonus.

14 foot weary and cold Aussies stumbled into Keld Lodge after a freezing walk over the hill from Kirkby Stephen as part of the Coast to Coast. Having been told Keld was a "one horse town" we didn't expect much. We were wrong. Probably the highlight of the 14 day adventure. Cold beer, hot food, warm hospitality, soft beds, awesome... More

Arrived with a group of 15 and from check in to departure all went smoothly with a good evening meal, a good breakfast, good rooms and good staff. A lovely old building turned into a really nice place.
