It really it's a lovely location, on the edge of stunning views of wildlife, and easy reach of national parks for elephant viewing. Excellent room with enormous bed. The food and service were excellent, and my only minor niggles would be things like only being allowed two teabags in the room no replenishment of shampoo etc., and a room key...

I stayed in Cinnamon Village in January and it was the most relaxing & peaceful experience of the whole trip! As soon as we got there we were welcomed by fresh coconuts and shortly after we were served an amazing traditional Sri Lankan dinner, cooked just for us. The area is very quiet, relaxing, surrounded by rainforest, rice fields and...

This resort, surrounded by a rainforest, is a perfect spot to relax and learn the Sri Lankan ways. We were offered traditional Sri Lankan dinner (served on banana leaves!) and breakfast, as well as delicious coconuts straight from the palm tree. We could explore the property and the lovely and friendly staff were there to show us around and explain...

Had the most peaceful time of our lives. Swimming, cycling around the estates nearby, lsitening to the birds. I learnt to peel cinnamon too. The quietness was deafening. Lush greenery all around, natural springs, here and there. Fruit trees and plants provided the freshest, juiciest of nature's produce. Thank you Cinnamon Village. I still dream of you. We'll be back!

Cinnamon Village is located just around 40 Kms away from Colombo. The simple set up of the resort took us back to the nature in a flash. Surrounding greenery is the most fascinating eye catcher, which blends with the breeze and takes you to another world. They offered us a range of local food varieties to pamper our taste buds...

Cinnamon Village is in Horana which is the area that Arthur C Clarke, nominated as one of the most pleasant areas to live because of its greenery, climate, water and air. Cinnamon Village is a genuine eco tourism resort in Sri Lanka and is afffiliated to the Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation. It is a peaceful and beautiful area and has many nearby attractions such as a bird forest, the river, walks, hikes, village life, agriculture etc. There is a range of accomodation as well to suit comfort and budget. There is a nearby pool, gymn and fitness centre we can offer for guests. There are also communication centres where you can use the internet and get photocopies, make international calls, etc. Cinnamon Village is situated only 45 kms from Colombo and the beruwela beach and can be reached easily by bus or by car - which we can arrange for you. We have excellent packages where you can even go and visit the national parks and wild elephants. It is a more economical place to stay in than most beach or colombo resorts and offers you wide open green spaces with most of the indigenous trees and plants. Our staff are ever willing to please you and you have an opportunity of experiencing a rural life with the modern comforts. It is also an excellent place for those looking for a get away, to eat natural foods and to visit the local ayuruvedha doctor. ... more   less
