Where to start to review this hotel that is rated number one of B&B's at TripAdvisor and highly rated by Rick Steves? Location is right in the center of the harbor. Best breakfast in the Western World! Owners so friendly and helpful. The layout of the rooms varies, our room is long and narrow, but I paced it off and...

We had a late arrival on the last boat from the mainland. We were met with smiles and commiserations about the weather (bad luck there). The room was great, with an upstairs sleeping loft and balcony for two overlooking Hydra harbor and the donkey delivery brigade. They served a fabulous breakfast, which included cooked-to-order eggs as well as fresh pastries...

1st time traveling solo in Europe & so happy to have found Hotel Sophia! My spotless updated room was like a welcoming nest. Shared balcony worked out wonderfully along with friendly guests. Coffee every morning while watching orchestrated delivery of goods & donkey transport was most welcome entertainment. Sisters Angela & Vasiliki (thank you for the awesome breakfasts) along with...

My wife and I arrived in Hydra without a booking and found this delightful little hotel alongside the harbor. They gave us a room with a balcony overlooking the water, which allowed us to check out all of the action (boats, tourists, fishermen, donkeys, etc.) Our room was beautiful--it had vaulted ceilings with wood beams and exposed brick walls. The...

This is the BEST of all of our one month trip! We truly felt like family when we left. Owned and operated by two sisters, Angela and Victoria and Angela's niece, Dorothy. The place was spotless, fine linens, 5 star home cooked breakfast EVERY morning as well as fresh baked pastry and fresh fruits and fresh squeezed juices all included!...

You feel like a part of this idyllic pedestrian only island when sitting on your balcony overlooking the harbor and its activities. It doesn't get any better than this. Shopping and dining are right outside your door. We had freshly made omelets for breakfast. Talking to the sisters who own the property was a delight. Swimming was a short walk...

We feel so fortunate to have found Hotel Sophia. The hotel is lovely, as are the sisters who run it and make it so special and unique. We loved the balcony overlooking the port, the fabulous breakfasts, and the convenience of being right in the middle of the action. They were incredibly kind to our small son abs made us...

Wonderful boutique hotel on Hydra's harbor. We sat on our balcony every morning watching the boats unload their supplies onto the donkeys. Late afternoons and evenings, it was delightful sipping wine and watching the quiet activity along the waterfront. A Greek experience at its best. The two sisters who own Hotel Sophia could not be more accommodating and friendly. They...

We stayed here for 6 nights in July and wished we could have stayed longer! The lovely 2 sisters that run the place make you feel like a member of the family - Vassiliki and Aggeliki, we are so grateful for spoiling us "rotten"! The breakfast is scrumptuous, their homebaking is amazing and there is always nice bread and croissants,...
