We arrived 27th November was rushed through by the receptionist who we found unfreindly our room 149 was away from the pool and facilities with a small child wasn't great we asked to move rooms and was told no rooms available when there definitely was.The room we felt wasn't cleaned before our arrival tge sheets were creased on the sofa bed, bathroom smells of sewage plug sockets all loose and the morning 1st Dec we had a thunder ⛈️ storm and water running down from the ceiling on to the floor and shelves called reception at 7.30 and called again at 9am still nobody turned up thus is a disappointment as its my daughter birthday today.

We stayed for 3 weeks self catering , the apartment was clean, it had basic cooking equipment, nice bathroom with hot water on top, and the apartment was cleaned most days a d beds changed regularly. Pool was clean and has plenty of sunbeds and a great coffee bar. The positives for us were as we booked with Tui we could use the facilities of the TuiBlue Hotel next door this was bigger and had a gym, spa a bigger selection of restaurants that you could use pay as you go and the food was of a good standard and plenty of it. Staff were always helpful and friendly and dealt quickly with the occasional late night noise. Some supermarkets locally that stocked a good range of food.

On arrival receptionist was nice but felt the check in was rushed and not very helpful at all . When we finally arrived to our room which was miles away from reception/ pool , hidden away in the corner room 149, the room doesn’t see any sunshine morning day or evening it’s fully shaded all day as the light is blocked from the other buildings . We rang the reception to get moved to a different room before we unpacked we was told the hotel was full I don’t believe that as seems very quiet here . Plug sockets are loose on the walls , Shower doesn’t stay up on the holder so you have to hold it in your hand to wash your hair or try to balance it somewhere. The Room was not freshly cleaned before our arrival .. floors and bathroom looked dirty ants etc on floor , smelt like sewage also bedding on the sofa looked crinkled as if it had been used already. Fridge temperature gage is broken so all the food etc kept freezing , as you don’t know what temperature it’s on as the dial just spins around . Pool life guard she is absolutely miserable…. the list goes on 🥱 The only positive is the shops are close for food and the pool is nice .

2nd year staying at playa feliz, after 3 years of staying at orquidea. 2 bed apartment with sea view! Amazing! Apartment was excellent. Fully equipped and modern. Short walk from the pool with a sea view as requested. Maids excellent. Any issues were dealt with quickly. Ants and cockroach issue but as soon I called to reception, maintenance and maids arrived to sort! We use playa feliz pool everyday as we have 2 children with additional needs. These hotels are amazing with young people with additional needs! Food as always was fantastic at both orquidea and playa Entertainment as always excellent and staff are so friendly. Pepe on the bar is an absolute legend! Kids club staff are incredible. Jade, Vilma, Elsa, Charlie and Marie need a special mention! Already booked for next October again. Thanks to David and Carlos at playa and Ulrica at orquidea. See you all next year

The positives first. Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location. Reasonably inexpensive. For some reason we seemed to get house keeping nearly everyday, which was nice and unexpected. ( house keeping staff very good) The negatives for us. The breakfast, great selection, quality poor. Watery beans, terrible toaster, ran out of breakfast tea for a few days, limited amount of child seats, selection seemed a bit hit and miss throughout the week, various items available for a few days, then unavailable for a few days. The whole place seemed a bit tired and run down. There was no kettle in our apartment, we asked for one and it was promptly provided. We had requested a cot prior to our arrival, but when we arrived which was around 9:00pm, there wasn’t one in our room, again it was promptly provide, but we just wanted to get our toddler to bed as it had been a long day for him. Unfortunately our apartment was constantly riddled with ants that were everywhere, we found this very annoying as we were travelling with our two year old, on several occasions I had to dispatch a few cockroaches in our apartment as well. Towels seemed like they had seen better days and were a bit smelly. On several occasions our key card stopped working, which meant a trip to reception to get this sorted out. ( a minor irritation ) In the hotel rules it says not to reserve sunbeds, but of course people claimed there spot as seems to be the case in most places. We actually spent very little time at the hotel during the day, so wasn’t an issue for us personally, when we returned late afternoon there were always sunbeds available. 20 euros deposit for a towel,

More hit than miss... We arrived in the early evening but after the restaurant had closed. We checked in and had randomly been allocated a room at the furthest point from the facilities and faced away from any sea view. We hadn't paid or requested to be close/have a view but as the resort was far from full it felt odd. When we got to the room, we found a stray cockroach in residence but caught it and put it outside. It was the only one we saw for our entire stay but not a great start. The team had left food in the fridge, sandwiches, yoghurt, fruit and water. The sandwiches were dry and unappetising so after several hours of flight and transfer I was disappointed. Next morning it did turnaround. The breakfast buffet was far more pleasant, with a range of tapas style food, meat, cheeses, fruit, cereal, pastries and hot food. You could have as much as you like on a help yourself basis and the quality was far higher than the food left in the room the day before. The pool area was immaculate with a lifeguard on duty from first thing to the evening. The main pool doesn't really have a shallow end but there was a separate shaded pool for babies/toddlers. It was refreshing and didn't have a nasty chlorine taste. You could hand in a token for pool towels and plenty of loungers to go around. The hotel was on the beachfront with a promonade along the seafront which was popular. The beaches are pebbly so don't expect sand or easy access with buggies/children. However, it was right outside the hotel and you could flip between the sea and pool easily. Also overlooking the sea was a shaded outdoor area with sofas and loungers away slightly from the pool but had a bar/snack shack there. It was lovely to sit in the shade, overlooking the sea having a beer/cocktail. Drinks weren't expensive at 3.30 euro for a beer and 8-10 euro for a cocktail. Evening meal was the same set up as breakfast with buffet where you could help yourself. They offered a complimentary cocktai/soft drink on arrival. The food was excellent and varied. Meats, fish and vegetarian in abundance plus a range of starters and desserts which were equal in quality and standard to the main meal. It never felt crowded and the staff were attentive and helpful. You could choose to eat outside overlooking the pool, in an area inside but overlooking the pool or in a large, airy restaurant. The hotel itself was well maintained outside but the rooms felt a bit shabby/worn. However, this wasn't a problem as we spent most of the time outside. The location is on the edge of Bahia Feliz and within the shortest walk are a couple of supermarkets (spar, local one) plus restaurants. You could walk along the sea front for about 3k to the next resort but I wouldn't recommend it as it was run down. If you want to go to San Agustin or Las Palomas and the desert peninsula, there is a local bus service outside the hotel and it runs frequently. If you are happy to stay on the resort and use the pool/beach then this is ideal but if you want to explore and see things, then you need to use the bus or rent a car. After a wobbly first night, the whole experience picked up and if I was looking for a do nothing but lounge/relax then I'd go back. You had most things on-site for adults. As we travelled as a couple, I can't comment on the children facilities but there were plenty of families there.

We stayed in Self catering room 150. I asked for a quiet room and it really was. Thank you. We didn’t have a sea view but it was a 1 minute walk to get there and it’s stunning. Our room was surrounded by fruit trees which I liked too. We’ve been so pleased with the friendly cleaning staff in this hotel, they could not have done more for us. We hired a car to get around the island quickly and easily. It’s only a half hour drive to get to Puerto Mogan and to the caves at Aguines. Driving into the mountains is more challenging because of the steep windy roads but worth the stress and effort I haven’t felt well this holiday so we spent a day by the pool in the hotel to try and chill out a bit. I have found the Tui app pretty impossible to navigate so it was interesting to see what entertainment was on offer. We had already met the yoga teacher so knew about the morning classes. During the day we spent at the hotel, we enjoyed an Aqua aerobics class led by Vlad that really did include everyone. It was great fun. I also took part in water polo in the afternoon which was really good fun too My conclusion- TUI app - rubbish. People- great. Self catering here - feels like an absolute luxury. Thank you

We stayed in the TUI blue playa complex, as it’s now known near the end of August for two weeks, it’s quite a large complex with the reception, dining room, snack bar, drinks bar & the two swimming pools at the beginning of the complex, you can pick up pool towels from there daily, don’t forget your card. All the one & two storey apartments are spread over half a mile & one side is facing the sea. Check in was fast & we were soon in are one bedroomed apartment which is a good size & good order. The kitchen is well equipped for a SC holiday, but they also do A-Inclusive as well. The air con in the apartment was very good & very quiet which made a nice change. There’s a tv in the kitchen lounge with uk channels & European channels for none Spanish or uk visitors, it’s well handy for families with children & the complex is run on them lines ie families & children have a great holiday for all the family. And there’s families from all over Europe visiting the complex which makes for a nice change. The Wi-Fi is very good & we got it on 2 iPhones & 2 iPads which is unusual & you could FaceTime at any time. It’s not the complex for you if you’re looking for adult holidays drinking, dancing etc , I knew what it was like through googling the hotel & I stayed in Bahia feliz in a different hotel last August, so I knew the area & read the reviews on tripadvisor. Bahia feliz is 20 mins from the airport & there’s buses going to Palma one way & playa del ingles etc the other way for those who like to have a good look around . Plus there’s car hire for those who would like to see the whole of the island. Back to the complex there’s a small shop on the complex near the dining room or there’s a bigger supermarket left out of the reception & a short walk to the road turn right & its 20 yards on the right. There a young guy called Eric who works in the shop & his English is really good, if you need to ask for anything then he’s the man to help you if he’s working & all the ladies speak good English. You get a lot more selection for your shopping, they even have a small bakery section with a selection of bakery items. They have a good stock of wine, beer & spirits & cigarettes, cigar’s, tobacco & stock lots of uk products as it’s a spar & it’s open until 10pm 7 days a week. Don’t forget you can’t drink the water unless you boil it first. We always clean are teeth with the local water, to help build up a resistance as you never know when you might need to drink it. The rooms are cleaned every other day or everyday if you put a cleaning card our. You might see cockroaches at night time, as there in all hot countries it’s nothing to do with cleanness. There two electric rings in the kitchen ,when the red light is on it’s off. Press it off & you can use the plates left or right. Plus everyone can get a pool towel, but don’t forget your towel card. There’s a free safe in the bedroom, you make a six number code to open & shut the safe.If your SC There’s also a few restaurants from Chinese to pizza eat in or take away & a wood grill steak house called Bahia. it’s a few minutes walk from the supermarket to the square, there’s a chemist & Frankies cocktail bar next to the chemist, if you walk straight up from the chemist then right to the sea road & turn right your on the sea front & there’s a cafe bar at the start of the sea path, it goes to the next small resort, which is a good walk if your feeling healthy. There is no beach near the sea, it’s large rocks rather than pebbles, but it was mainly used by locals & the sea can be be quite choppy so it’s not suitable for children. From you room it’s at the sea end of the complex, then you walk right on the coast path for ten minutes you will come to a black sand beach, that’s mainly used by locals & also has some large rocks before you enter the sea. It’s better when the tides out in the day time, as it goes in cycles & it goes out quite far & At the end of the long black beach it’s quite shallow there when the tides out, but it’s mainly used by locals. So every hotel etc pool area is well used by all tourist. But having said that there’s plenty of sun beds & no need to play the towel game. Plus late check out can be done the day before you leave. It’s 30 Euro until 3pm & 50 until 5pm, then you can leave at your own leisure. I did mine with Carlos at the reception, who’s very helpful & speaks very good english. if your looking for a laid back healthy family holiday then the Tui Blue Playa would be right up your street, with out a doubt. I’ll be back

Our holiday was very nice but the experience was tarnished by this hotel and TUIs lack of care. We had cockroaches in our room which are common but the hotel said on 2 occasions they’d spray the room….they didn’t so I bought spray and did it myself. Another evening there was audible scratching coming from inside the base of the built in wardrobe….the hotel said they would check it out but didn’t. Finally we had a water leak in the ceiling above the bathroom….we had a night with no water and couldn’t use the room for a full day the next day which was self catering. We complained to TUI who offered £170 refund which doesn’t even cover the cost of the day we couldn’t use the room plus the money we had to spend on eating out because we had no self catering facilities. The hotel was poor and TUI were worse

We stayed at Playa Feliz for a week all inclusive in July as at moly of 5, 2 adults an 11 year old and 7 year old twins. I would say Playa Feliz on it own is not 4* but with the ability to use everything at Orquidea next door it does live up to that rating. We were initially in the wrong apartment for two days, we were eventually moved to what we had booked and paid for. Both apartments were clean and comfortable, air conditioning isn’t throughout the apartments but did a not bad job at keeping the rooms cool. It was over 42 degrees at one point so air conditioning was needed! There were a few cockroaches, we were all inclusive so didn’t have any food in our kitchen - I’m guessing it would have been much worse if we had. The complex is in a beautiful setting, we found it quite quiet at Playa Feliz with lovely views. It’s just a short walk to Orquedia, where the bigger restaurant, more pools and main entertainment is. We never had an issue getting sun beds, we were ready to sit in the sun after breakfast (10/10:30) and always found somewhere to sit over looking the sea. Playa Feliz was not as crowded. It was lovely to have a choice of which pools to go to. Orquedia pools were super busy but great fun for the kids. There was plenty of entertainment around the pools for all ages. Kids club was fab, our children had a great time. There was so much choice of things for the kids to do. The entertainment staff were brilliant, so so enthusiastic and really talented too. The two I remember the names of were Pippa and Jaoquin - there was a girl who sang Dolly Parton songs one night who was an amazing singer too. All the TUI staff made such a fuss of the kids to make their holidays special, thank you. The foam party and beach party were brilliant, such lovely memories to have. The food was good, enough choice - pretty typical all inclusive food. The staff did struggle to keep up with demand at busy times, there weren’t always tables available immediately, it took a while for tables to be cleared and popular dishes to be topped up but we didn’t mind so much as we weren’t in a rush. I would have liked waffles at breakfast more often! (They were amazing) All the hotel staff apart from 1 TUI rep were lovely, all smiley and happy to say hi in the passing. On our 5th night my youngest daughter was sick all night, she was absolutely devastated to be unwell but to miss out on the end of her holiday while she recovered. The next night my son was sick too. I asked for the apartment to be cleaned and clean bed linen, they didn’t really clean as much I as I would have liked so I bought stuff from the Spar and did it myself. I went to the chemist across from Orquedia to see what I could buy to help them recover. The women working there said that a lot of people had reported being unwell with sickness. I don’t think it was the food as my other daughter had eaten the same. I reported the illness to TUI. I overheard a conversation at reception (Orquedia)about more unwell people and the reception staff just brushed them off and didn’t seem bothered. We heard from others they had been unwell too, sadly we didn’t see any extra measures being taken by the hotel to limit anyone else becoming ill which was really disappointing. The holiday would have been perfect, even with the room hiccup at the start, I’m so disappointed it ended so badly.
