Terrible hotel! Was the third time, but compared to the last time the service completely spoiled! Terrible breakfast, cheap furniture and decor. Has its own parking. You can order lunch and dinner. To the lake to walk 5 minutes. Beautiful public beach, entrance 2 euros if paid at the hotel. Pine forest around

We just spent a week at hotel Bezdez during a training camp. We were a total of 46 people. The hotel is large and fit all of us on the same floor. All in all the hotel is average. On the most negative side was indoor smoking, the breakfast and the wifi. It was extremely annoying to find people sitting in the reception smoking every day, discusting! The breakfast was not very good. Absolutely no vegetables, terrible dry bread and no müsli, no fruit juice. And finally the wifi is week and kept kicking us out.

The hotel is simple, food is good, but not splendid. It is located in a village without shops etc., but nearby there is a lake, where you can swim and hire a boat. The breakfast is o.k., but the dinner is simple and not every time nice.

We traveled for a school in nature camp with 4th and 5th graders. The rooms had exposed brick and holes in the wall. There was a sign that said the building was under construction. The worst of it all was interacting with the lady in the buffet. She was rude to the children, when the buffet was busy with three different Large groups she dropped a mug on accident and it broke and she got very angry and stomped off and just left the broken mug on the floor and ignored it the entire breakfast until one customer cleaned it up. She told the students that they were not allowed to eat the eggs in the buffet as they were for a different group, which was a lie because we paid for that option. She wouldn’t provide one dollop of tartar sauce to me, only kecup. She lied and said they don’t have any… how cheap. She made one boy cry as she was yelling at him because she found a sugar packet on the floor, blamed him, told him it was expensive so don’t use them, then berated him for a couple of napkins left on a different table that were not his. Another student found hair in His food. The buffet lady would ignore requests when we needed bowls, spoons, cups, etc… even to the adults, she would ignore us and walk by us when we wanted to ask her for basic service. I have never experienced such cheap minded people in the service industry. The food itself was very poor quality too. Just a plain awful experience and if you have kids or self respect I would stay very far from this hotel. Such negative minded people .. shocking experience .. I felt like a time traveled back to communism in its worst days..

The hotel is very retro, but I expected that. Sometimes it's laughable when at breakfast you get a plate with the ROH logo, a table with a rubber socialist tablecloth. Time has truly stood still here. The rooms are clean, but the balconies are really private. Unfortunately, there was no hot water. We noticed that it always started around 5 p.m. and after 8 p.m. it was running cold again. In the morning around 7 o'clock it was running and by 9 o'clock it was cold again, so we suspect that they turn off the hot water on purpose, which is absolutely crazy considering the price. The breakfasts are appalling. Orange juice mixed with water, but in such a way that it only has color after the orange. The pool in the hotel is nice, but too cold for my taste. If you like retro and don't mind that there is no running water and that you don't eat much from breakfast, while the price is extremely excessive for these services, then I recommend the hotel.

An old-fashioned hotel
Very unfriendly staff
Clean towels only every 2 days
No lighting at all in and around the hotel.
Food Very bad in the morning old bread little toppings no fruit
Also few choices in the evening, white cabbage salad every day, no hot vegetables with the meal.
And everything has to go quickly with food.
In a word, just super bad

Very bad customer experience here. They do the business in the same way as in 80s.
* Breakfast: poor offer, in the second half of the time slot for breakfast you might find empty tables
* Dinners: you need to order meal one day before, the servings and f food are relative small and very probably you stay hungry after that, offer of salads/fruits is very poor
* Wi-Fi available only in lobby
* Opening hours of particular services is very limited: dinners only until 19:30, bar opened only after 19:30...
I think the potential of this facility is much bigger than they use. The location is great, only few steps from Mácha’s lake. But until the attitude of employees is nit changed, the visit here will be an excursion to the communism time, which was definitely not a good time in terms of retail services.

We stayed here because everything else was already booked in this area. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights but were relieved to find out we could cancel the rest of our stay and check out the second night.
It's an old worn out hotel that serves a basic breakfast and even more basic and quite tasteless dinner at night.
The rooms look clean at first glance but don't look under the bed because you will not like it.
Only good thing was the privacy of the balcony as that allowed us to leave the door open at night and let some cooler air in as it was extremely warm in the room and obviously no air-conditioning.
Also the WiFi is non existent in the rooms. You has to go to the reception for a signal.
For the nightly rate they are charging I'd strongly suggest to look elsewhere. This place is definitely not worth your money!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is "retro-style hotel", i.e. it was built more than 40 years ago. Rooms are very basic, but the staff keep it clean. Food choice is limited in the hotel. The biggest issue for us was the fact, that there is smoking area in the lobby and all the smoke goes around the hotel. Also in hotel bar there is allowed to smoke and no separate area for non-smokers.-((( Eventhoug the staff does it best, there are better places to stay such as Hotel Port, which is simply amazing!

This is now the 2nd time my family and I have been here. The first was back in summer 2014. I am afraid it has not gotten any better (maybe worse?) This time around they didnt provide any soaps or shampoo's, the towels were from 1971, went swimming in the indoor pool and they had no soap and broken sinks (at least the pool itself was clean and warm). Bfast buffet will not win any awards, but they do have a big carpeted room with kids toys, so if you have kids between 1-5, it is a nice little pit stop. But this place still has the amazing location, so I guess they cut all these other 'nice' things out. And the price wasnt crazy about 1,000czk per adult per night including bfast. And guess what, with little kids, we said it was worth being this close to the beach instead of walking an extra 15-20 mins each way. Will I go back? Probably not, unless the deals are super cheap, because the kids will be older we can afford to walk from farther away for an upgrade in quality.
