No Flexibility about early check out . We were at the Tennis World Championship where 50% of the players loose in the 1st round and need to leave earlier . The resort was unflexible to accept it. We were told at the check in that our package included drinks . They tried to charge us drinks every single meal !!!
We have just returned from our second stay this summer. Yet again we had another amazing holiday. The staff are fantastic. From the minute you walk into reception you are made to feel so welcome. The restaurant and bar staff are superb and always remember our drinks order each time we visit the bar. The entertainment and fitness team go above and beyond to make our stay so much fun. The kids absolutely adore them all! A huge thank you to everyone at pinos park, you are all amazing ❤️ We can’t wait to return again next year!
Visited this hotel mid September. After a very early start and long journey, myself, husband and three year old daughter finally arrived at the Iberostar Pinos Park. After a warm welcome and glass of cava, we were informed they had no reservation for us which resulted in us spending 4 hours trying to deal with Alpha Rooms, who we booked through. After getting nowhere, we had to pay the hotel directly in order to stay there, as they said our holiday company had cancelled our reservation in July (after having paid them in full, but this was not the hotel’s fault, although I believe they could have been more gracious about the situation after seeing how upset we were). We were finally shown to a sea view room which is what we had originally booked, which was tiny, stunk of mould and had no sea view, just a fence. Asked to move rooms which they organised for us, and we were moved to a bigger room alongside the kids pool/tennis court and near the entertainment. Not happy!!! First night all we could hear was booming from the disco/show, plus, on top of our hotel’s entertainment, we could also hear the noisy entertainment from the hotel across the street. Next morning and feeling weary, we finally unpacked and headed to the pool where it was impossible to get one sun bed, let alone three, due to people hogging them all first thing. Ended up finding some beds by the kids pool which is an extremely ugly area in need of some serious TLC, as does much of the hotel. Once we accepted we weren’t going to have the holiday we’d hoped for, we just got on with it and made the best of it. Having criticised the hotel, I would like to note some good points: 1. Restaurant, entertainment, bar and kids club staff - they were so friendly and helpful. 2. Food - although a little boring going to the same restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food was tasty and they had a very large selection of different foods/flavours and all very fresh. Shame they don’t have any a la carte restaurants as part of their all inclusive package. Try and get a table outside unless you want to feel like you’re back at school! If you want Rioja, you have to pay extra for it. 3. Beach - nice to be so close to the beach, although we had bad weather when we were there and a load of seaweed swept up onto the sand which wasn’t cleared - I guess it’s just a public beach so the hotel is not responsible for this. 4. Small cove to the left of the hotel accessed by a pathway - was pretty but loads of jellyfish, so not suitable for swimming, especially with a 3 year old. 5, Maintenance men - our air conditioning didn’t work and they spent hours sorting it out for us. 6. Shower - powerful and plenty of hot water. 7. Archery - my husband enjoyed this. 8. Maria on reception - lovely lady. 9. Evening entertainment/shows which we ended up going to as could hear from our room anyway - the musicals night and acrobatics were great. The clientele at this hotel is predominantly German which is fine with us, but expect to be in the minority if you’re English. For us, the hotel needs some money and love put into it - the rooms are soulless, smell damp and have the most basic of furniture, small windows, dark etc. And the fact that if was only 80% full and you still couldn’t get a sunbed, makes me think they need to come up with a solution to stop people reserving their sun beds so early. Everyone should have the opportunity to get a good spot now and again. I did witness a member of staff put a laminated sign on one one day saying it wasn’t allowed to reserve beds as they had towels on but had been vacant for hours, and when the family got back, they just chucked the sign on the floor. All in all, we ended up having a decent week, but we will not be returning.…
It was the second time we were at Pinos Park and it will definately not be the last time. Its not very often that you feel in such a way 'at home' in a hotel. Thanks to the whole team and in particular to Mickey, Jesus and the whole animation team. :-)
Very nice hotel with amazing wievs! We have spent here 10 days as familly vacation. It is a Perfect hotel for kids! They have 5 pools and each pf them is accessible for kids (the depth of pool increases gradually). Kids club open every day in two 2hours sessions. Mini disco every day (can get loud) and as from 21:30 till 22:30 thematic shows. Delicious food! Grilled seafood, fishes and paella served every day! Apart from that a great choice of meets, veggies and desserts. Hotel is very clean, staff friendly and helpful! We will be back!
