Well what can I say…. Camp Leopard was absolutely amazing. We are a group of six friends who love to travel. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel most welcome. The food was excellent. They made sure you were never hungry. Afternoon tea and cake by the wetlands watching elephants bathe. The lunch by the river and relaxing in the hammocks afterwards. Breakfast on top of the big rock with 360 degree views. The BBQ night was also excellent. Making s’mores by the bonfire. Marc our guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and birds that we saw. Our highlight was seeing leopards on two separate occasions. We also saw Elephants, crocodiles monitor lizards, a jackal, langur monkeys macaques and too many birds to mention. We stayed for 3 nights and the tents we very comfortable. We would definitely recommend Camp Leopard. Everyone goes above and beyond to take your stay a memorable one. Thank you Marc and Camp Leopard Staff.

This was by far the most unique place we visited in Sri Lanka. The camp is built and organized brilliantly by Marc, who has gathered a super friendly and dedicated staff to provide the best service possible with zero toll on surrounding nature. We had the most delicious Sri Lankan food and there was plenty of it. Also we had our first two safaris and I were able to see all the animals in our bucket list without harassing them at any moment. Marc is like a real encyclopedia of the surroundings and can tell you almost everything about the species you can find in Yala. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to run away from the urban atmosphere and learn about local animals. It was truly an amazing experience for us!

Camp Leopard was an awesome experience. Sustainability was one of my favorite features even to décor, all the small details made an impact. The staff was friendly, great food, and Marc was very knowledgeable. For someone experiencing “glamping” for the first time, this is definitely a must-try. The camps were clean and very accommodating. Highly recommend Camp Leopard.

This was a boy's trip in the month of June 2022, Marc the owner was great at communicating. We had a discussion about our expectations and goals for the trip. We opted to stay inside the National Park in a private Bungalow, which was impressive. Camp Leopard brought their own staff to cook and take care of the bungalow for us. Marc catered the safari trips to the animals we wanted to see. We had fantastic leopard and elephant sitings up close and personal. I recommend this to people who just want to show up and have an experience because Camp Leopard handled everything for us, so we had more time to enjoy everything. I will definitely be returning to explore more of the surrounding national parks with this crew.

We went on a safari! For us it was important that it is a sustainable one. That means for us: no 10 jeeps chasing and harassing an animal always fighting for the best spot. Furthermore, the provider should always put the protection of the animals first. We found this with campleopardyala. We booked a full day safari. And since there is less going on because of Corona, we were on our own with the guide Marc and our driver. Included was a breakfast and lunch. On request for us from vegetarian/vegan. Marc has an absolutely impressive knowledge of the animals in the park and has a little story to each of them with background information. We were able to choose which part of the park we wanted to go. And Marc was overjoyed when we said we didn't want to do the crowded block 1, but the secluded ones. Although we were aware that the chance of seeing a leppard here was lower. It was a perfect day and the team did everything possible to bring us closer to nature, animals and culture. Thank you!

One of the best places to experience real safari. Ethical professional friendly service. I have travelled immense times to YALA but to tell tell the truth i have not met anyone like ranger mark who is very capable of of handling situations and extremely knowledgeable and expert of his territory. So I would really recommend the safari with ranger mark and the stay in camp leopard. Hoping to go for another drive within next month Thanks for everything🙏🙏 All the best guys 👍👍👍

With all the covid madness in the recent days we still went ahead with the booking we made for the weekend of 17th and 18th October, probably the best decision! The camp is in on the border of the buffer zone and the perfect setting for the jungle feeling. We were Warmly welcomed by the team compeising of Marlon and prasad and of course the camp manager booboo the cutest and friendly alsation there is. Camp was for ourselves and we never felt out of place. Everything was the way it was advertised and after lunch went on an early game ride. Again due to the fact everyone was bonkers over covid the park was just for ourselves which is a very rare occurance. Marlon was a fantastic ranger, highly knowledgeable with plant and animal behaviour and anything to do with the surrounding areas. He never related in trying to spot a bird or an animal and the icing on the cake was at the last moment when he spotted the leopard. Just what we were looking for and a bonus was spotting another one within the next 5 Mts. Highly recommended if you want to get away and avoid these crowded hotels where you are more likely to contact the virus. A great place to relax, be with nature, friendly and efficient staff and feel the real jungle vibe I encourage all sri lankans who care about helping local tourists spots such as this and help them by visiting and sustaining the business in these difficult times

After curfew we went a group of friends for a farewell and we were completely right choosing the place. They took all the safety measures needed. Both location and staff were fantastic. Delicious food and amazing safari thanks to the guides who made it interesting and unforgettable. Mark and Marlon were very knowledgeable safari guides. We will always have a very good memory of having shared a weekend with our friends at Camp Leopard. We will repeat when our family be able to come to visit us!!!!

Being a hiking and outdoor enthusiast I have been to the Yala National park a few times before, but never had such an excellent experience as I did with Camp Leopard! Both Marc and Marlon are extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and flora in the park. The bush knowledge of Marlon helped the team track down two Leopards on our excursions, which was an exciting experience, among all other wonderful wildlife we spotted. If you are looking for a truly wild experience (with a pool and large buffet as a bonus 😄) then this is the place to go! All in all it was a great experience, and the team had also captured a video of our wild holiday, which was a really special gesture.
