Notos Therme & Spa is located by the sea, at the secluded Vlychada in Santorini Island. At the hotel, there is a great sense of relaxation with the quiet pace of the Fishermen Port and the Marina, far away from the noise and crowds. The unique rural landscape with its impressive rocky formations is contrasted by open views to the sea and the blackness of the beach. The sea is visible from every room and suite. Visiting the Notos Spa can be a journey through the deepest levels of serenity and wellbeing. Notos Spa is built inside the volcanic rock in a harmony with the surroundings, with its own natural hot spring waters.

First of all: the Hotel is in a rural area, so there is not that much to do outside the Hotel. BUT: You can rent a quad or car very easily and can reach everything super fast! Now more to the hotel. It's very quite, the marine port isn't disturbing at all and I find it very interesstig to watch all those boats and catamarans leaving and arriving several times a day! The heart of the hotel is definitly the people working there! Everyone is so welcoming 🙏 friendly ❤️ and tries to make the stay as convenient as possible for you! ❗️ Special thanks goes to Olga and Marianna in the Spa! Those two did an amazing job in making a really good vacation even more relaxing! ❤️ Olga and Marianna listen to your wishes and concerns for the massage and make you feel very safe and in good hands during the whole time. After the treatment we could also use the sauna and indoor pools. Overall an highlight. So visit the spa with Olga and Marianna!

What a great hotel to relax and chill out. Giannis, the hotel manager was Friendly, approachable, helpful and always on hand. He was supported at reception by George and Cleopatra who were always available with a smile to suggest, help and organise meals, trips etc. Around the pool and restaurant , the brilliant Anastasis, Panos and Mary were always available and on hand to keep us well watered and amused. A great team managed by the best. The hotel and rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. The outlook from the pool area is a lovely harbour. A few extremely good tavernas are within a very short walking distance. Hope to return one day soon

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Notos Therme hotel and spa. Giannis and his wonderful young team were perfect hosts and could not do enough for us. The peaceful location was perfect too. I can thoroughly recommend and we are already planning our next trip there.

When we arrived after a late flight around 1am, a friendly member of staff came down the front steps, showed us where to park and carried all our bags up. We were greeted by the outstanding hotel manager Yannis who showed us to our room, showed us the amenities, pointed us towards the shop and offered us water as you can't drink from the tap. He offered to help plan the rest of our week and all staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay in recommending and booking restaurants, hikes, museums and other trips and we loved coming back at the end of the day and telling the staff at reception what we'd done that day. Our room was perfect, clean and beautiful with great shower and really comfortable bed. Good air-conditioning so you could set the temperature in the room and thick walls made it soundproof. Staff came in everyday to tidy and clean the room. We loved the little private outside area we had. Breakfast was great, massive choice of savoury and sweet with many things slightly varying from day to day to keep it interesting. A lot was too sweet for our personal taste of breakfast but it was fun to try. Serving staff were so genuine and friendly, attentive without ever being intrusive and very quick if you were ever asking them for anything. The port was vibrant and felt authentic whilst still being peaceful, especially at night. You would need a car if you wanted to explore the rest of the island which we had, although you can also walk to Perisaa (1 hour) if you fancied a few drinks and didn't want to drive back. The pool was quite cold but fine once you were in and we loved the swinging day beds in the shade for when it's really hot. Unfortunately we had an uncomfortable experience when we came to redeem our spa treatments that came with our package. The spa manager attempted to upsell a different package for 15 minutes that costed 220 euros which we could not afford. She persisted that the massage was worth 240 euros but because she liked us she would do it for less and then when we declined again she offered 200 euros, repeating that our prebooked massage would make us "feel nothing". This made us feel uncomfortable and awkward. When one of us came back for the massage the next day at 1pm as arranged, she said because I was late I would be getting a shorter massage despite it not having been communicated that I would need to arrive early. The massage was meant to be 40 minutes but only lasted 25, ending at 1:30 when it was meant to be 1pm-1:40. During the massage, which was of good quality, I felt anxious and confused about the exchange and was worried I might be charged extra for something I had unwittingly agreed to. This was not the case but affected by enjoyment of the experience significantly. The indoor private pool area was beautiful but very cold water with the sauna being out of use. Overall this did not majorly affect our stay, but if we were to return we would not use the spa again. In summary, we had an excellent stay at the hotel. What really made it outstanding was the open and friendly attitudes of staff and their exceptional professionalism. The price was great for the facilities included, staff attentiveness and quality of the rooms, although without a car you can't get very far from the hotel and there isn't much near by.

Had a four day break here this week and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautiful views and overlooking the harbour. It is a very quiet location and if we were there for longer we would have rented a car to get around the island as although we easily used taxis they were quite expensive and a bit inconsistent in pricing. There isn’t much around this area but that was what we wanted, we wanted a quiet relaxing break. Genuinely the staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. Yannis the manager was always on hand but more importantly all his staff are friendly, efficient and cannot do enough for you and that really was every single staff member. Room we had was really comfortable and clean and the food in their restaurant was lovely. Breakfast buffet was really extensive, fresh and beautifully presented. We did a trip out on Caldera Yachts which is a must do activity. The crew were really friendly and lovely and the whole experience was brilliant. We did a trip to Thira which again was lovely. The only thing that could make the stay easier is to have some guest information in the rooms, just little things like the WiFi code, restaurant opening times, local places of Interest etc. Yannis did go through things on arrival but it’s hard to remember the times. The pools are really cold at this time of year but once your in it was fine. We swam every day. Thank you so much for looking after us do well.

I read reviews of this hotel after booking and thought , good lord what have i done. I can honestly say the negative reviews this hotel has had are not deserved . There are a lot of steps up to the reception , our taxi driver literally pushed us out said go and pointed up. If only we had known we only had to walk up and ask for help they would have been taken for us. The reception staff were very welcoming and gave us all sorts of helpful advice, tours etc local restaurants . Both girls were very pleasant and helpful , Marie and Christine. They made phone calls for us, booked taxis and booked our trip on a catamaran. The reception also provided soya milk for me after i e mailed and asked was it available . There are a lot of steps in the hotel, if you have mobility problems its not for you . The floors were a bit slippery too. The room was clean , with a fridge and a safe . The bed was comfortable . The shower was a bit iffy , went hot and cold but it wasn’t a major problem . I cant comment on the spa as we never used it , had a peek in and it looked fine. The pool was freezing but clean , there were always sun beds avail around the pool . The sunsets from the hotel were just breathtaking . A nice view over the harbour too. We stayed on the continental bed and breakfast option. Paul and Sam the waiters were lovely , friendly smiley lads who couldn’t do enough for you . Some reviews complained of cold eggs ?? The only cold eggs were the hard boiled ones put out on the buffet. Fresh cooked eggs were on order , omelettes, fried eggs and scrambled with an option of bacon . A basket of fresh pastries and bread was put on the table every morning. With pots of jam honey and chocolate spread , these were topped up on request. The coffee machine ran out once and according to another reviewer that was it , not so , Sam said the coffee machine was empty but they could make coffees and lattes in the kitchen , you only had to say. Nice selection of food on the buffet , fruits , feta and cakes . Def an ample buffet . As it was October it was quiet locally , we would def recommend the little cafe/restaurant in the harbour next to the gift shop. Lovely fresh good , and a really good price . If i went back to Santorini ( i prob wont ) i would quite likely stay here again . This hotel does not deserve some of the negative reviews , excellent staff , a comfy room . Thats what you need on holiday.

We were here for 4 nights in a suite. The room was spacious and nicely furnished but… Check in was friendly but there was no explanation about the hotel it what was available if anything in the spa, no one to assist with bags despite a significant number of steps up to reception, no information in the room about how to use the safe or phone to (so we could ask about how to use the safe), no glasses for water and no water in the room (it was a suite so this is a minimum requirement). We told them the light switch for the lights outside wasn’t working which meant a bright light on all night. Breakfast was a nightmare with an hour wait to even get a coffee while we waited for food. On the first day they had run out of milk for the coffees, fried eggs were cold and were told hot eggs were not available (how long does it take to fry an egg?). Tables were not being cleared and disinfected between guests. Our order was forgotten which after an hour isn’t surprising as they didn’t write anything down. They need more, better trained staff. This is not even close to being a four star hotel.

The room was nice and clean, however the small attached pool was full of sand without any cleaning during our stay and there were no glasses available. The service was awful. Check-in was minimal without further information about available facilities and no help with luggage even if several stairs lead to the room. To any issues there was next to none response. Breakfast service very slow (waiting time up to an hour), no milk available first day, cold fried eggs… Nothing you expect from a 4 star hotel.
