A beachfront hotel of modern white design, with magnificent views of the Aegean Sea, surrounded with fabulous green gardens. An ideal place to enjoy the sun and the scents of the Greek islands! Located on the southeast coast of the island of Kos and next to the renowned for its crystal clear waters Agios Fokas beach, the hotel is just 7kms away from Kos town, the harbour and the Marina and 32kms away from Kos International Airport (KGS). One of the very first hotels to have been built in Kos back in 1970, Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites has recently undergone extensive renovation in all of its public areas and rooms (2015-2019). With its private beach, amazing sea views from all public areas and most of the rooms, bungalows next to the sea, pools and terraces, the hotel is an earthly paradise with verdant gardens, colourful plants and all shades of blue of the sea and the sky! Ideal for couples and families, we are proud and pleased to welcome many repeater guests every year and offer them a pleasant stay in a friendly atmosphere.

We paid the extra for 2 suites with sea view. The rooms were very nice and kept clean every day. The hotel itself is very nice, and the 3 swimming pools and surrounding areas kept pristine, albeit the sea was much warmer than the pools!! Think wetsuit!! The staff really were very good, both on reception and around the pool areas. But what I didn't check before booking was the number of rooms and guests; this is a large hotel spread out over a big area, and when catering for so many guests, the kitchen staff really need to be on top of their game. Sadly, they were not. We went all inclusive, and we found the food to be bland throughout. Our one visit to the a la carte was so disappointing that we decided to go into town instead of trying the second restaurant. On a day out, our boat captain recommended a simple taverna away from the tourist strip in Kos town which was truly outstanding. This proved to us on our last night that we were not being unduly picky when assessing the hotel food. Lastly, if you are in the least bit wobbly on your legs (we are active mid-late 60s), think about somewhere that does not include 80 steep steps from the pool area to the room. Whilst it gave us some much-needed exercise on a sun lounger and trashy novel holiday, it may be food for thought for the ancient ones! But let me end on a positive note.....if you have a snorkel, take some bread and just a few steps into the water and you will have hundreds of fish feeding from your hand - great fun. All in all - we had a very nice week. Had the food been better, so would my rating be.

They say a hotel is only as good as its staff, and that is certainly correct about the Dimitra Beach. The staff are exceptional and seem very genuinely happy to see you. From waking in the morning to going to bed at night there is always a cheerful greeting from all we met. When we arrived, we were shown to our room and given all the information we needed to operate the air conditioning and the other devices in the room. As we were on an all-inclusive basis the fridge had some soft drinks and water provided and there was a coffee machine. We were a little disappointed with the view from the balcony as we had paid for a sea view and the room had only a partial one, but this was sorted out later by reception with a change of room when one became available the next day. The view from the balcony was then stunning with a clear sight of the Aegean Sea and across to the Turkish coast. There is the usual stampede in the morning for the better positioned sunbeds but we decided not to indulge and instead enjoy the opportunity of a lie in. There were plenty of sunbeds available around the main pool and on the beach, and to be honest we never had a problem finding one that suited us. We did in fact get beds around the pool in front of the suites most days. The restaurants serve a good selection of dishes and once again the standard of service was exceptional and the food, although not always hot, was very tasty and well presented. George, who is in charge, keeps the staff on their toes, but is always very friendly and happy to assist and quick with a joke or two. The staff in general are very efficient and keep the tables clear of used dishes and the wine topped up regularly. The pool areas are clean and tidy and drinks from the bar were provided by Nikos, who works tirelessly throughout the day coming and going to the bar to help keep you refreshed with a mixture of beer, soft drinks and cocktails. He really is a star. In the evening we spent our time on the terrace, were the entertainment, whilst not to everyone's taste was provided. There was a mixture of singing and dancing, and our favourite was certainly the Greek dancers who got everyone involved. It was typical evening entertainment and helped to create a good atmosphere which, I think most enjoyed. The only drawback we had was with the limited nature of the all-inclusive package. The range of drinks was restricted, and no international spirits were available unless a surcharge paid. This also applied to the snack's menu at the bars. It would have been nice to have been able to have the snacks available at lunchtimes as an alternative to going into the main restaurants, and it would also have been appreciated if a continental style buffet could have been made available after the breakfast service for those of us who rise late. whilst this did not detract from our enjoyment of the hotel it would, I feel, enhance the experience. Whilst there it was my birthday, and to my surprise a cake was delivered to the room, which I thought was a lovely touch and much appreciated. These are the kind of things that make a holiday special and along with the friendliness of the staff made our week at the Dimitra Beach one that we will remember with fondness and hope to return in the future. Thankyou Dimitra Beach, all your staff and especially Nikos, George, Lily and Jimmy.

We travelled as a family of 9 people - 6 adults and 3 children. We were welcomed very well by very sweet and accommodating staff, The hotel is nice and has a high cleaning standard. There is a fantastic view from the hotel - especially the sunset was a beautiful sight. There is a very large selection of food in the hotel’s main restaurant - always something for both children and adults. We got the very best service in the main restaurant, where Georges could always ‘magic’ and arrange a good table where we could sit together - and the children quickly learned to give ‘high-five’!!! The pool area was also really nice with a high standard of cleaning, comfortable sun beds and a pool bar. We had a wonderful holiday - and we can highly recommend this hotel to others. However you should be aware that there are many stairs that require you to be mobile. We would definately like to come again 🤩

Stayed here in September for 7 nights it was lovely , all the staff were so friendly , spotlessly clean and we had a very relaxing week. Plenty of seating areas which were all lovely and the buffet restaurant was perfect . There are two other restaurants you could book , and the food was amazing , in fact I had booked a holiday elsewhere for next September but have changed that to go back with a friend .

We have just got back from a weeks all inclusive at Dimitri beach. We have had the best holiday ever and would like to thank the excellent staff for looking after us. the room was comfortable and a lovely sea view. The food choice was great and a different menu every night . George the manager in the restaurant had a bottle of wine put in our room. Nicos and the bar man in the sea view bar waited on us hand and foot. Lily was amazing in the main bar on an evening. We will booking again for next September.

Only the best experience possible. From the first day till the last one, top service and best friendly hotel stuff. Hotel earnes 5 Stars totally and completely. All resort completely great bild, you can reach all offered facilities in less than 5 minutes. You can swimm in two pools and your kids can do that in their little one. Mediterranean Sea is right down the hotel, where you can lay down and relax 🏖️🌴🏖️. Breakfast and Dinner were totally great and tasty. Large selection of food, different food theme evenings. Service "Chef" George was everywhere and did totally great job taking care of EVERYONE!!! Thanks a lot for that!!! Service staff was totally friendly and took care of every wish from every single guest. Every evening there is different program/ activities. Conclusion for this great Hotel - it is worth and recommended to visit Dimitra Hotel. P.S. maybe it is possible to build a volleyball place in the near future 😃😃😃 P.P.S we wish coffee machine for everyone in dinning room, so everyone can take a wish-coffee without "disturbing" the stuff 👍😁👍.

This year was our third stay at Dimitra Beach and it did not disappoint. So relaxing, beautiful surroundings and the staff are lovely. As always thanks to George in the Restaurant. My only problem is that so far Tui don’t appear to be offering this hotel next year! All I would say is, if it’s your first time and you’re going in the sea, take beach shoes and steri-strips as if (like me) you’re stupid enough to climb on the rocks, you’ll need them.

Third time at this hotel and yet another great holiday. Love the peaceful location and the views are amazing. All the staff are very friendly but Nikos goes above and beyond! He makes incredible cocktails and is always smiling! So many of the other guests were very chatty so it made for a great atmosphere. Sure we will be back.
