Summer experience - Area of the hotel is lovely and peaceful. Food is so so. Rooms are getting old and not fresh. Carpet stinks. Great area for walking. Playground indoor and outdoor for kids, good. No air-co.
Excellent breakfast. Very good restaurant with friendly service (great Polish wine :-)). One minor was the noise on the hallway by running kids late evening (we have one ourselves but is just a manor of how parents manage their kids - my humble view) For sure returning back as area is great for biking and/or walking
Another visit to that hotel with spa located one kilometer away from the major skiing place in the whole region. Advantages: good location (the hotel offers a van to go to ski resort), spa (saunas!) with the swimming pool and cosmetics services. Bar, restaurant, kids area. What catches the attention: good quality Polish food in the restaurant. Disadvantage: the quality of rooms could be better (too simple, too noisy).
I was there during Krynica Forum so had not fully used hotel services . Hotel is placed in very nice enviroment and staff is very helpful. The food was exelent and good combination of modern and traditional dishes . I surely will come back with my fammily .
Spent only one night at the resort, but wish it was longer. Friendly staff. No problem checking in early. Good indoor pool for younger children. Lovely food in the restaurant, no need to go elsewhere. Perfectly comfortable rooms. Free climbing wall and treetop climbing frame with instructors. Playground for younger kids. Would also recommend getting the ski lift to the top of the hill.
I enjoy my stay at the Wierchomla. Beautiful location, excellent food and good service. I was missing couple of things to give it 5, no chairs on the balkony, small shower stall and the room had no night stands by the bed. 2 meals a day, but buffet style and really delicious, a lot of choices. The wet and dry saunas were excellent, the infrared not so good. The pool is shallow and has chorine instead of salt. There were 2 weddings in the dining room on Saturdays, which meant we were limited in movement in the dining areas on those days. Quiet and very nice for a rest, the bed was comfortable and the room had basic conveniences with no extra thrills. I would visit again because of the location easy to hike, trails all around must be good to ski as well, very close to ski lift. Little shuttles provide convenient transportation to Piwniczna and other local resorts. Lots of couples with small children, so I would not go during full season, but off season was quiet. …
Good quality hotel, meaning: good food, easily accessible bar, kid's facilities, swimming pool of decent standard, a van to the ski station, lots of place to walk or bike during seasons other than winter, pool table, ping-pong table, clean rooms. We've been there several times.
Charming wooden cabins right on the steep hill is what you need to feel the nature and enjoy magnificent views. Interiors are simply but comfy and very atmospheric thanks to the beauty of that much wood all around you. The only problem might be the acoustics between the rooms. You can clearly hear your neighbors what can be irritating if they happen to be noisy.
Wierchomla Resort is probably a good place to be in snowy winter because of nearby ski lifts but this is a different story in summer. Very few trekking trails, no attractions accessible without a car, rather weak spa with noisy swimming pool, the only positive point was gorgeous Polish breakfast served in the morning. Next time I will get back to my preferred hotel in nearby Krynica, the one I reviewed one month ago.
This hotel is to be commended amongst various venues, especially for its splendid, though not exceedingly official, service (it had been always helpful and friendly). The hotel has a nice outlook and even better environs, as the landscapes around it are simply breath-taking. The interiors are ok, perhaps nothing to brag about, yet I didn't find it lacking to any extent. Meals, served in the restaurant "Tysina", are ok as well - the choice is varied, which is really helpful, when you're accompanied by your children. Speaking of children, there are lots of activities provided: a children parlour (with caretakers), a playground outside the hotel, sigthseeing trips (eg. a night trip with flashlights for children) and many more. The rooms are nice and should suffice for anyone travelling with their kids. To sum it up, I can recommend this hotel to anyone - if you're a couple, you will enjoy the trips and landscapes for granted. Moreover if you have kids, you will find all the amenities, supplied at the hotel, sufficient at the very least. Drawbacks: - a broken treadmill in a need of immediate service (be careful with it!), - if you rely on Plus range, be wary - there's no range until you reach... Piwniczna. I know, it's not a hotel's "merit", yet you might find it very constraining, especially if you have to keep in touch with someone....…
