What an amazing place to stay!! The villa was wonderful - plenty of space for our two families and the facilities were second to none, including both a family and lap pool, spacious and luxurious bedrooms and a veranda with a view to die for - the sunsets were spectacular! Mrs Froso popped in daily and was extremely attentive and great fun too - seeing to all of our requests with a minimum of fuss and ensuring that are our trip was memorable and that the apartment was spotlessly maintained. Gavalochori is a quiet and peaceful village, we loved it! there are 4 restaurants, a coffee shop and a couple of small supermarkets - I would particularly recommend Gavalianos Kafenes and Arismari to eat, both traditional Greek restaurants selling hearty, home prepared food. I have to make a special mention of the owner Christos, we missed our initial trip due to a flight cancellation (whilst we were actually on the plane!) and not only did he source us alternative accommodation a few weeks later he did not charge us for what in effect was an extra week - its not often you see such generosity and kindness these days and it was a much appreciated gesture by both of our families. Thank you Christos you are a gentleman! - we will be back!!

We planned a family holiday with extended family for a wedding and joint 70th. Villa Artemis is fab with amazing mountain views. The pool area is the best with a family and a lap pool. The villa easily accommodated 8 adults. Mrs froso was always on hand, daily cleaning, booking taxi's and any other issues we had. Be aware if u have elderly guests that the villa is atop a steep hill, not a problem for us but our elders needed a car to get to and from gavalahori village. Our only other concern was the shower situated over the bath. Again, not a problem for us but the older guests did struggle. The amenities are great, the villa is lovely and the village provides varied restaurants. Great Cretan hospitality.

we have stayed her twice and would definitely recommend the villa is modern spacious and the pool is superb. If you are planning a group holiday (we went for a family wedding) it is possible to hire all 6 villas that are part of this small development however none overlooked. We chose to stay in Alkyoni on both visits as we like the large pool and the villa layout. The views are beautiful overlooking Gavalchori Village and my favourite restaurant ever is just a short stroll down the hill where there is also a couple of mini marts a bakers and some other tavernas including the Gyros shop which my children always visit. the beach at Almirida is a short drive and Georgeopoulis is a little further on the other side of the mountain. I have family living in this part of Crete and visit every year feel free to ask any question

We were 26 persons who went to Crete to celebrate my sister´s birthday. We stayed in Villa Artemis, Athina and Ariadne during one week in June 2016. The villas are amazing, even better in reality than in the pictures. They are very spacious and well equipped. Lot's of balconies and patios nice if you want to spend some time on your own. Gavalohori is a charming genuine Greek village with nice restaurants and cafes a short around 150 metres walk from the villas. Driving to Chania was less than an hour without traffic jams. Mr Skalkos who handled the reservations was very professional and service minded. Mrs Froso, the housekeeper took good care of us during our stay and assisted with everything from fresh towels to reservations of taxis etc, always with a smile in her face. We do recomment these villas and will definately stay there when visiting Crete next time.
