We came to Can Talaias as a family for a one week holiday in Ibiza and I have to say it is one of the most welcoming, beautiful and quiet boutique hotels we've ever been to. It's located in the north-east part of Ibiza, away from all of the nightlife, so it's perfect if you want a quiet and secluded break, with beautiful scenery and beaches. The owners are lovely people and nothing is too much trouble. Te food is so good you don't ever need to leave the hotel, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. It's just a genuinely lovely place to stay. We loved Can Talaias so much, we actually came back to stay once more. Just as an FYI, the last time we stayed as in summer 2014, but I'm sure it's just as great now as it was then - would love to return.
We absolutely loved our stay here. It is low key and chilled - as though you are staying with really good friends. We had bad weather but still the views were stunning from the terrace. The food is exceptional (as though you have your own private chef - which in effect you do)! We will come back when weather likely to be better!
Cushan, Laetitia and staff work seamlessly to deliver a very homely and welcoming atmosphere. The property has an interesting history and is set within one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of Ibiza. Not far from some stunning beaches and coves, I did not walk down but I understood the track to be not too far and not too difficult. The kitchen offering is very good and accommodating. The pool area is calming and tranquil. Families should consider car hire if using as a base. It is very important to follow the directions provided as the track immediately by Bar Anita could prove difficult for some to navigate. Continue along the main road and look out for the “Spar” Store on the left. Not long after, on the right, the yellow sign can be spotted to turn right and head up the hill. Looking forward to my next visit.…
Way up a dirt road Beautiful views - lovely rooms - Nice small hotel with honesty bar and lovely staff Superb if small pool and surrounds Good advice from owners about local places to eat and swim Couple of friendly dogs and a peacock wandering around - if that's not your thing....
We stayed here for a sensational wedding. Can Talaias really is a hidden gem - on a hill top, reached up a long dirt track with speed bumps. It's not suitable for your Lamborghini. Fortunately we'd hired a Mini Countryman! The view from the top is superb and the property itself beautifully renovated. The rooms are spotless. The former home of Terry-Thomas, it is run by his charismatic English son, Cushan and his lovely wife Laeti in a delightful bohemian fashion. The couple are workaholics, but find the time to make all their guests feel at home in this ultra laid-back oasis of calm. I can't thank them enough for their very genuine, heartfelt hospitality. There are fabulous walks from Can Talaias, up to the promontory (about 30-40 minutes) and down to two secluded beaches (with modest beach bars and facilities). It takes about 40 minutes to walk into San Carles village which has good eateries, a great bar and retail therapy. It's longer to walk back! Thoroughly recommended!…
