La Masia is a hotel located in the beautiful island of Formentera, in a quiet, rural environment a few minutes away from the beach. It's composed of apartments, each one with a unique decoration in western style, where we have created a relaxed atmosphere so guests can relax and enjoy their holiday on the island. The apartments have a kitchen and a terrace for the sole use of its guests and are equipped with air conditioning, satellite tv on a LCD flat screen, dock for ipod/iphone, and also bathrobe and beach towels. We also have an open-air wellness area with turquish bath, jacuzzi, emotional shower, sunbeds and swimming pool. For those who want to keep in good shape we have a tennis court and a gym zone. As additional services, we offer thai massage done by a Thai native.

Massive thanks to Leandro and the team at La Masia, What a truly lovely and relaxing experience from start to finish.

We were welcomed and offer coffee, tea, water etc. while they checked us in, then we were shown around the pool area, and finally taken to our lovely apartment. Which had everything we needed. A lovely outside space where we enjoyed an afternoon read, and our morning breakfast, a lovely kitchenette with a fridge and basic cooking facilities. The living room was next followed into the bedroom with a huge bed, a large mirror, and a large wardrobe space. Then finally the bathroom with a lovely shower. Everything was clean and well presented.

For breakfast, which is included you simply order what you want by 8pm the day before, and say what time you would like it, and they bring it to your room! Now that is service. Breakfast was delicious we enjoyed the homemade wholewheat toast and scrambled eggs and the homemade cake!

Additionally there is the beautiful relaxing pool area, that has a yoga deck, and hand weights. There are a couple of bali beds in the shade, a large lovely pool, outdoor shower, a shaded seating area with an honesty bar and a beautiful shower room for the last day. We felt like we were there for a week, and we were actually only there a day!

Everything was perfect, thank you La Masia. We will come back and see you again soon, and will be recommending you to all our friends.

Thanks again

Stayed 7 nights and it turned out to be a great location to explore the island especially with e-bikes. We stayed in room 9 which is very large and away from the road. There are no other rooms attached to it so very peaceful nights. The room was cleaned every day and new towels and sheets daily. Large walk in shower and kitchenette. Breakfast is pre-ordered to a time of your choice and laid out on the patio table. Large pool and didn't see a single child hurrah! No towel race in the mornings and most times just a few other people poolside. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Highly recommended!

Excellent in all aspects. From the moment we arrived, greeted with a warm welcome. A tour of the establishment and then to our delightful room. There we found everything we could need for our 3 night stay. The location of La Masia is fairly central and having driven, we were able to easily explore the island.

This is basically a classic bungalow typical formentera 1 star hotel situation, that has received an uplift in terms of decoration. but its everything as it is described : TIPO JAPONESE BED...which means an old mattress on a wooden carpentered base. the wifi is absolutely non existing. or installed when wifi was first founded. fact is: no bungalow has a wifi connection. and on the grounds of the "resort" it is mostly impossible to get a mail or send it. the bathroom has new appliances, but is extra small and has zero shelves no hooks, a cheap plastic shower curtain and is unclean in particular in the corners where there is a collection of things from previous guests. the tv has 120 arabic and russian channels. and maximum 20 alltogether that not show the oman or imam and russki tv.the extra bed in the bungalow is as old and run down as the "master bed" --hahaha, bed. maybe thats why the massage is so highly recommended. the situation of the first bungalows is directed towards the entrance street, so mopeds cars and everybody gives you a glimpse on the socalled private terrace. on the other side is the big carretera of the island. which allows the maximum of fast car, truck and kind of autobahn noise. there is a small window in the bungalow facing that big road, no mosquito net there . so open window at night not possible.
not to forget that you hear and see every bit of your neighbors terrace, and its "very yoga" to have bursting screaming babies at 7:30 am in your holidays...
it has an air condition over the tipo japonese bed, but at night not recommandable...so prepare to sleep in cheap plastic foam cushions and cover yourself with a polyester sheet and sink in your own sweat while the bed is killing your back... the kitchenette, the fridges freezer door broken, fell immediately off, old pan with a burned hole in the bottom, but lots of wine glasses...the breakfast is brought every morning with a knock to your private terrace door on your private terrace table, and will never change unless you go to reception to change it. there is a pool area, but you have to cross the parking lot, and i found it a bit off resort style to go in the bathing stuff over the parking lot, in particular since all of this "luxury" offers cost me 300 euro per night. the only good part of it, that in particular the personel is friendly, but i would be too, when i would be paid for such a dump 300 euro per night. so no thank you. there are even on formentera meanwhile way better hotels and places to stay.

The place is nice, with a beautiful swimmingpool. All the rooms are situated in different cottages (suggestion: avoid the ones that face the street). The breakfast is huge and is chosen a la carte in the evening and delivered in the morning at the time desired (but, first problem, is impossible to have it in the early morning, that is to say before 9.00). The problem of the rooms are that there are no wardrobes and the bathroom is incredibly small. Then, the worst, is the terrible damp in the rooms with its smell very hard to put up with, also considering that also the bed sheets were constantly wet. Finally, we think that is foolish to push the guests to pay cash and create any sort of problem if you want to pay with credit card, also considering the huge rates.

Every time we go to Formentera we select the places we stay carefully. This time it was a success again. We had few issues but sometimes things happen...

It might also be true that room photos look a bit nicer or there are better ones than the ones we took, but nevertheless I advice to come here to enjoy Formentera.

It is adults only and, despite being next to the main road, you here no noise anytime.

The house has 10 apartments. A couple of them -at least- have a private jacuzzi and there is a big suite on the first floor with view over the sea -which is not far away-. Regular apartments have a small private patio with outdoor sofa and a low wooden table, a small kitchen (yes you can cook) with small fridge, a small living room with TV and sofa and the bedroom inside -tatami style-. Finally there is the a small bathroom with shower.

Breakfast is included and served by default at your room. You must select anything you like from a wide list of healthy ammenties. You must choose serving time too and leave the request at the front desk the night before.

You might ask to be served by the swimming pool too. This is the shared area where there is a small self-service bar, the pool, a jacuzzi, some Balinese beds, shared WC, shared shower and a yoga area (there is yoga materials and weights available).

Altogether an excellent choice.
