We had a cabin with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large kitchen/dinning/lounge area. It proved to be a fantastic base for exploring the Lofoten islands. There are lots of scenic drives available from this location, as well as wonderful walks. There is an Avis car hire desk at Leknes Airport. A small track goes up the hillside opposite the... More

We were here 3 nights in early June and the weather was so cold - wet, windy and 6C so we were really glad of the Nordic heating and insulation. Our cabin, simply but adequately furnished, was warm and comfortable, as was the bathroom. We had a view over the water which, fortunately, we could see without having to go... More

I brought 25 good friends with me, to spend our great time in Statles Rorbusenter fisherman's cabins. All cabins are fully equipped as what is mentioned on its website. The manager at the reception was very friendly and even loaned us 'the dried cod fish', so we could giveo all our group members... a 'closer look' at Lofoten Island's product.... More

We stayed in a lovely cabin overlooking the water. Each bedroom had it's own private ensuite which was rather spacious. The shower was probably one of the best I've had in Norway. The room was a little small, but we managed to make it work. The beds were comfy and the lounge room was a great space to get together... More

We stayed here as part of a photography tour. There were 3 bedrooms and 1 living area - we had access to one of the bedrooms and the living area. There was nobody else staying in our cottage. The living area was spacious with a deck overlooking the lake. Very picturesque. Everything you needed was there expect a toaster (maybe... More

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 7 day holiday with a UK based walking company. The reason for my rating this property just 2 stars is based on the fact I would not return here and I certainly would not recommend to others. 1. We had booked an apartment but on arrival it had a strong smell... More

This Rorbu, whilst well located, appears to aim at the coach party market and provides a low value service for the individual traveller. While the bathroom in my Rorbu was newly decorated, the furniture in the rest of the building was cheap and well used. Breakfast was very bad, with poor quality sliced bread, and tinned fruit cocktail the only fruit... More

We were on a bicycle trip, and we were so glad to arrive at Statles Rorbusenter after riding in the rain all day! The woman at the reception desk was so warm and welcoming, and our cottage was beautiful! I chose one of the new cottages, and it was spotless, spacious, and even had a few tea bags so we... More

We rented one of the typical "Rorbuer houses" for two nights which was clean, comfortable and equipped with a kitchen. The location is very quiet and the next stores are 10km away in Leknes. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasn't working but they tried to fix it. Washing machine and dryer in a separte laundry room worked very well. All the houses... More

Ottar Statle picked us up from Leknes airport and drove us to our Rorbu. We were in no. 18 which is in a small block of 6 a little apart from the other rorbus. We had a living room/well equipped kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. For 3 mornings and two evenings we were the only two people having breakfast/dinner in the... More
