The location is absolutely amazing, and the hotels outside areas are really beautiful! With swimmingpool inside and outside with breathtaking views. Good food and wonderful breakfast. I had mistakenly booked online for two adults and two kids, but I travelled alone with the kids. Upon check out I pointed this out to staff in the reception but a grumpy lady in her forties with dark short hair showed no understanding and refused to give me any discount on the suiteseeing as we were 3 not 4. The suite was spacious but in summertime you nedd to have all the windows open and there is no aircondition and its facing the noisy main road, so a seaview room is a must.

I was here with my family for a birthday party. I have mixed reviews of this place. The rooms were nice and clean with all I needed. The hole hotell was lovely with an awesome pool and a fantastic view to boot. Their pool was divided into a big one for all ages and a smaller one for adults witch I belive is quite smart, especially on their high season. They also have a nice looking bowling arena and that is unique for a hotell here in Norway. They also have an outstanding squash and tennis courts with equipment to rent. For kids they also have a game room and indoor playground witch my nephews really enjoyed. The staff was really friendly and helpful but that is were the positive ends im afraid. The staff needs to communicate with each other better. We called the hotell a month before we came to ask if we could book some of their facility's and we got the answer that that wasn't possible, we asked again when we got there and they still told us that there is no booking allowed but then we found out that someone had booked the bowling arena. This is were they need to be better at communicating with each other because when we got to the bowling arena they told us that booking was normal witch was the opposite of the answer we got from the reception, because of their bad communication with each other departments we lost a lot of time we could have spent at the bowling arena. Their bad judgment didn't end there, we wanted to try their tennis court on the Saturday but then a company had booked all their facilities throwout the hole day and they didn't even use it. If we had known about this before hand we could have made different arrangements, I think this is bad for a hotell to do to their guests. They could have at least informed us about this beforehand. The area were they had the kids indoor playground and tennis court was very cold because they didn't have any heating and that is terrible for a hotell like this to overlook. So to summaries, this is a hotell were I think if they fix only some small and easily fixable problems then this could be a great and amazing hotell with a view to remember. I hope they fix their problems because I want to come back again and recommend this place to my friends

You can get all if you will stay in this hotel. Good room, perfect local food with a big choice every day, staff that can speak many languages, unforgettable views and even traces of the best Norwegian composer Edward Grieg. He used to stay here many times. It was built a small wooden hut for him there where he composed his music. You can see it today also.

The hotel itself is a dream, the place is another dream! With rooms overlooking the Fjords, the best facilities beautiful place! The dinner buffet is simply the best, including caviar, salmon, beef, desserts... So is the breakfast buffet! The treatment is something else!! There's always one member of the owner's family to welcome us and to say goodbye. They treat us like family!! I highly recommend it!!

Unfortunately, my assigned room did not face the lovely fjord, but the hotel's spectacular location is accessible to all guests, so take some time to sit outside and enjoy the view --- perhaps even take a quick plunge in the fjord. My room faced the highway and was not as pleasant. The hotel is very large, and the buffet-style meals, while plentiful, vary only minimally each day. For a change, there is a restaurant on the premises with waiter service and a different menu.
