Having booked in April, I decided to upgrade the room, I made contact with the hotel directly and received a response very quickly, they were so helpful in making my request a reality, it was perfect. We then arrived at the hotel, not knowing what we would get and to our surprise, probably the best room in the hotel! It was a fair distance from reception, down two lifts and right to the end of the hotel (which I’m used to, as I always seem to get the room furthest from reception, wherever I stay!) but wow what a room, we had a lovely swim up pool and being so secluded, it was so nice not being overlooked, Thank you team!
Now the holiday, having read reviews of slippery swimming pool floors and lack of spoons in the restaurant, we went with an open mind, yes the swim pool floor is slippery, only when wet around the pool, but otherwise it’s fine, yes there were a lack of spoons and cups in the restuarant, but should you go to breakfast and dinner at the busiest times (8.30am & 6.30pm) you expect to not have cups and spoons available! A simple question of the staff and spoon or cup was with you in minutes!! Don’t let that put you off!
The buses that run are spot on we took a bus to falaraki one night (€4 for us both, each way, payable in cash to the driver) and Rhodes town (€5 for us both, each way) and it was perfect! Buses don’t stop if full! But they run every 20 minutes or so! We also took the Lindos express coach, booked at the hotel, €34 return and what a day we had there, acropolis was superb, but you do have to pay €12 each to go up inside! (You can book online before, and skip the queue!)
Now the hotel, Rooms are spacious, we only found the cupboard (behind the mirror) on the last day! Der!! So plenty of room to store clothes, plus a safe! Fridge in room, great and plenty of tea coffee and kettle available each day, topped up by the maid! Towels supplied! Only disappointment was the TV, lack of netflix and prime, although the apps are on the TV, they don’t work! We got premium WiFi with our upgraded room, not the best WiFi, but in and out! My 5G was faster!! Expect to pay for WiFi on arrival too!
Nice little shop in the hotel, sells everything you may have forgot to take with you! And reasonably priced, but don’t use the kiosk opposite, they don’t price anything and rip you off! Go to the supermarket a 5 minute walk down the hill!!
Restaurant is nice, good food, lots of choice, but very repetitive, but if you’re willing to try everything, there is good choice for all!
Tea coffee and juice in morning is free, but drinks with dinner are paid for and charged to room (€5 a beer, €3.50 a Fanta)
The pool bar is priced same and the pool restaurant, food is wonderful and prices are decent, (see photo of menu)
Entertainment each evening, very good, starts around 9.30pm to 11pm.
Plenty of entertainment during the day around the pool, aqua gym and volleyball!
Beaches are shingle and very rocky, worth a walk to the small cove down the hill to the right! Med sea was warmer than the actual pools!

Overall and wonderful week in October and we loved it all, not a bad thing to say about the Kristen Palace, go and experience it for yourselves, don’t let the negativity put you off!!

Considering this resort is a mid range price, I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival we were given free pizzas as we were too late for the evening buffet. We had booked a family room, but were given a triple by mistake. They asked us to wait until the morning as no family rooms were available. Next morning they moved us, and to apologise (without us asking) gave us free WiFi for 3 people for a week. The pool is large with plenty of sunbeds. There is a small beach with paid sunbeds, or a small free area for the hotel set a little bit back. Not the best beach, but good for snorkeling. Taxi stop or bus just outside, about 11 euros in a taxi to Faliraki or Rhodes town. 6 euros to Kalithea Spring which was lovely. Food was fine at breakfast and dinner buffet, plenty of choice, although vegetarian options were salad, pasta or vegetables, no main dishes. Evening entertainment is basic, but there is something each night, and the entertainment guy is energetic. Rooms are fine, basic, but have all you need and are kept clean. Every single member of staff was really helpful and cheerful, none of the miserable restaurant staff you see at some hotels who seem to hate their job! Pool towels for a deposit that you can change daily, and shop onsite selling snacks, toiletries etc

Booked a last minute long weekend break to Rhodes, chose Rhodes and Kresten due to the reviews, distance from airport and board options. It was only £10 more pp to have half board.

The hotel is well located to access Rhodes with great transportation options right outside with either bus or taxis available. The room we had was a great size with a balcony that provided us a nice spot in the evening to sip on a drink whilst reflecting on our day. A highlight was watching the sunrise from our balcony! Worth setting your alarm...

The aircon wasn't working but was fixed once we bought to the attention of the front desk. The onsite shop was well appointed and the prices for things like water and drinks was very reasonable. We bought a couple cocktails from the hotel bar again good value with friendly staff.

Food here was fine, good choice for breakfast, with dinner options for everyone, we don't eat meat and had plenty options. However don't leave it late as you may not get the hottest food so to speak. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, I forgot the lady (manager) who greeted us, she always had a smile and warm embrace waiting for us.

My only complaint was when we asked to use an iron we were told that it's part of the laundry service. Whilst I understand the need to make money, loaning guest an iron ahead of an evening out shouldn't come at a cost in my opinion. So bring your own travel iron. Also whilst there was a kettle in the room there were no hot drink options provided in the room. Not sure if this is hotel policy or just the housekeeping not providing any.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for both couples and families alike. We watched the evening entertainment from our balcony which was both entertaining and varied, not to mention the many firework displays (in and around the area) that were going off in the evening. We didn't use the pool but did use the beach area, sun loungers and stroll around the grounds.

Stay was really great, loved the hotel, especially the pool area. It was clean and spacious and great for kids to splash around. We spent 7 nights there and each night a different fun game was organised for the kids. The guys just know how to entertain their guests, the music each night was just amazing.
Breakfast and dinner was always something to look forward to, especially when the staff were so professional. VANA & IRINI were simply AMAZING throughout our stay. They make you feel so welcomed and the pace and professionalism at which they clear your table and keep it tidy was just unbelievable. We could go back any time just to get the service those two provided us.
The receptionists were also top-notch. I can’t even remember how many questions I asked the two ladies at reception and it’s a pity I can’t recall their names; but their knowledge of the Island was outstanding. They basically guided our entire tour and informed us what to do, where to go and when and how. Hats off to those two!
My only complaint is that the internet in the rooms could’ve been free or at least not install blockers in the rooms so that we couldn’t even use our roaming data - that was a massive let down in this day and age.

Then this is the second time we have been to the good hotel Kresten Palace. Again, we must praise the place for the everywhere good service. In particular, however, we would like to highlight Anna and Rafael as well as the restaurant manager for the attention and kindness they showed towards us. Everywhere very nice and clean and really good mattresses in the beds. The only thing we think should be changed and will make the stay better is a change in the tam tam music (noise) that is blown out over the pool area. It's ok it takes place during the hour with the water gymnastics, but before and after soft music should be played at a tolerable sound level so you can read and relax in calm conditions.
The bus to Rhodes town stops right outside the door and otherwise a scooter or car can be rented at the hotel at ok prices. Thank you for a good stay, see you next year.
Best regards
Anne and Erik, Denmark.

The Kresten Palace is ok considering it's supposed to be a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is quite clean, and the location is great for hopping on a bus to go into the town/harbour and to head to Old Town which is a must visit (the bus stops are literally outside the hotel) The bus stop for Faliraki is also outside so handy for day trips. We were a family of 6 of varied ages from 5 to 60's. It is also a few minutes' walk to the stony beach where you can go on an hours glass bottom boat tour, which was good. There needs to be a wider variety for breakfast and dinner options and what they do have, needs to be replenished more frequently. They also need to provide spoons on the tables (odd thing to write I know but spoons were not readily available) They seem to be understaffed in the restaurant but the service was good, as was the bar staff. The housekeeping team were amazing.
The evening entertainment was not the best, stick to the quizzes, however the animation team do work hard and made you feel welcomed. Maybe a slightly bigger budget for the entertainment programme will improve that whole experience. The kids club though was great! Our 5 year old enjoyed that immensely.
The reception team were quite nice and helpful thank you! Apart from 1 person in particular who was a bit duplicitous and fake - they had over booked so Phoebus on reception asked if we would relinquish one of our rooms (we had booked 2 double rooms as there were 6 of us) and offered us a deluxe swim up room. This was ok as your patio opens up onto a pool used by only the other swim up rooms, but it was a squeeze. It's not a complaint but Phoebus was overly nice to convince to take the reduced room then basically ignored us throughout the holiday, which I thought was uncalled for (he got what he wanted from us then onto the next victims of the hotels overbooking system)
Overall though, we enjoyed our week here but would stay try a different hotel next time

We stayed at this hotel for a week and it was overall a pleasent stay. It'a a beautiful structure with an amazing pool. We had a big room with a beautiful sea view. Comfortable bed, big bathroom and a small but dirty fridge. The first couple of days the water in the shower came out cold so we spoke with the red haided receptionist about our problem and she said that she would send someone to our room, but never did, (very unprofessional of her part). The next day we had to ask another receptionist to solve the problem and she did right away and sent someone to fix the shower so we finally had hot water. The plug to the bathtub was removed, so there's no point in having a bathtub if it can't be used.

The food was good some days better than others. The only bad thing was that sometimes the silverware was dirty and not washed well.

Fabulous hotel to stay if you are visiting Rhodes you can’t go wrong by choosing the Kresten Palace. Bus stop right outside can take you to Rhodes town and Falirki for €2.5 each way and are every 30 mins. Rhodes town was very picturesque we even caught a bus ride to the Kallithea Springs 2 stops away.
On arrival we were met by smiling staff at reception and shown to our Deluxe swim up room. Wow, sea views, clean well equipped with walk in shower, comfy beds, TV, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and milk.
Towels were also provided for the sunlongers on the patio area. Cleaners came every day and brought fresh towels, cleaning the room to a very high standard. Bedding was automatically changed every other day, with a card to be added to your bed if you wanted it daily. This is a 4* resort but I felt it was more of a 5*
The hotel mini market was very well stocked for water and snacks and gifts to take home, very good prices for on site too.
Food: breakfast was a varied buffet with hot and cold choices. The omelettes were for me a highlight with the aubergines with tomato and cheese. The waiting staff greeted you with a warm inviting smile and work very hard. Evening meal was again a buffet with many different choices of food. Salmon, duck, leg of lamb, pork among some of my favourites. The Greek salad every night as a starter was delicious too. The pool snack bar was open from 12-4pm and offered a very reasonable varied menu of pizza, pasta, burgers and toasted sandwiches with chips at only €4.5 was a snack enough to share. Again the staff serving here and at the bar work hard but always are helpful, friendly and served with a smile. The draught beer was €3.5 and small bottle of wine €4. They have ensured keeping their prices low you will want to stay on site and enjoy their facilities, this I found very refreshing from the hotels we normally frequent where the prices are high!
The animation team work hard in providing all day entertainment with yoga, Aqua, stretch, darts, volleyball and nightly shows. The pebbly beach has sunloungers although we preferred to use the pool.
The kids pool and park were well maintained and a lovely addition if you have a young family. We never normally return to a hotel, however we are already looking to come back again. Reading some reviews before arriving makes me wonder where their negative comments are from as our stay here has been amazing.

All in all a terrible experience and we would not recommend or return to this hotel. We arrived at the hotel between 21:30-22:30 and we were booked in a substandard hospital looking room, which was a double room with an extra single bed in. We went to the reception straight away to inform them that we have booked and paid for a family room and we were told that it must by a mistake but they have nothing else available for the evening, the hotel is fully booked and just to wait for the morning to speak to the manager. We returned to the reception in the morning and the manager said the same thing that they have no family rooms available( we have booked our room in May for a Mid August holiday) the hotel is fully booked but they can offer us a deluxe double room and add an extra single bed in. The deluxe room was cleaner and as we already wasted an evening and a morning out of our holiday ( it was after 11:00 when we could swap rooms, we have not unpacked as we knew we could have not stayed in the initial room) and as we did not want to waste any more of our holiday we decided to take the small double deluxe room. They put an extra single fold up bed in it that we tried to take turns to sleep in but nobody was able to sleep in as our 13 year old son fell off it as it tilted on the side and we ended up all 3 of us having to share the double bed. We had no more money left over and had no idea where to go to book a decent accommodation so we accepted the swap, but this was far from what we paid for . The hotel and services are sub standard, the breakfast is poor and tasteless, all food is overdone as it stays in the Bain Maries for too long, out of all three of us my wife was the only person who actually tried to have something for the breakfast we paid for. We tried to contact loveholidays by phone but it did not ring anywhere and advised to contact by message just to be told that the team is working remotely and not available at the time we needed to chat to someone. The rooms are infested with ants and we even found a baby lizard in our room. The pool was nice and clean (the only good thing about this place) . I do not easily write reviews, and I have tried to ignore the previous bad reviews, but our experience was really bad, staff was not interested in putting things right ( we only asked for what we paid for) and they were dishonest . When checking in they never mentioned they do not have the room we booked, they tried to put us in a substandard room and hoped we would go with it. It was only when we complained that they offered us another one. We had a bad experience with the hotel so we would not recommend nor return to this place again.

just come back from a week at the Kresten Palace Hotel. We loved our stay we had room 211 looked out the front of the hotel and front gardens, really comfortable beds very clean we had fridge safe and air con . The road traffic is very noisy but we were so tired we slept through it

The food was lovely and lots to choose from we especially enjoyed the Chinese night. and the desserts are never ending. tea/coffee water juices in the morning .In the evening you order drinks and put on a tab . I did see some people paying as they went

The pool is large and clean lots of room to swim or just float about. lots of sun beds never a problem finding one . you can walk down to small beach area there are sun beds or just for 10 euros you get two beds and a brolly more on the beach snorkelling is good you do need to go out and round a bit to get a good look.
Between 12-4pm you can get food at the pool side large portions so great to share .pizzas are amazing.
drinks are a little expensive at pool bar we bought from the shop in the hotel that has everything , many reviews say to walk down to the mini market down the road but to be honest your looking at saving pence and not worth the walk down and up hill. the ladies in the shop are very friendly, and stock all you would need. also better to get ice creams at the shop

The bus stops are right outside the hotel and easy to go either way Rhodes Old/New Town. the other way is down the coast to Kalathos Beach sand and tiny pebbles does get very busy . If you go by bus to Lindos . when you come back get a ticket at the little orange kiosk where you got off . people with Tickets get on first , sometimes there is no room for the non ticket person.

We found all the staff friendly even the gardener is chatty .The animation team are great fun never to pushy for you to join in the daily activities but if you do they are great fun and really do there best to make everything fun
The evening entertainment I have to say is funny may be not always the best but you will definitely laugh/cry . They have lots of energy and give you everything they have so be kind.

If your going I'm sure you will have a great time and enjoy all that this hotel has to offer
