Our stay at the “Dream of Zanzibar” was a dream come true! The beautiful resort, with its sea shore, pool, gym, lovely rooms and bars, hosted us with a warm hospitality, great food and drinks and a lovely African experience. We have to mention MWINYI . Mwinyi made our time so special, telling us about Zanzibar, culture and history and attending all our needs and questions with patience and a smile! Hoping to come again! Thank you!

We spent 11 nights there and we experienced a prime example of hospitality, helpfulness and friendliness - no matter what we did at this hotel, no matter who and which hierarchic level helped us. The kitchen is excellent (the variety reflects the islands diversity of nations). The hotel is extremely beautiful located (a dream for photographers due to light and color), the evening programs are of an excellent quality and never intrusive, the bar areas are welcoming places. We recommend this hotel unrestrictedly, be it for a beach holiday only or following a safari. Many thanks to the whole team of the hotel in any service and management level. You gave us a Dream (of Sansibar) holiday. Last but not least: good hotels can be recognized if necessary on the service, the food and the location. Excellent hotel can be recognized to be excellent in all those categories plus by how they treat the staff and how they deal with small challenges. This hotel is outstanding in any of the categories. Again and again and only there! Cordially (1.7.-12.7., Room 207/806) Ralf + Conny

My son and I stayed at Dream of Zanzibar this June. Unfortunately I became ill on my sons birthday. I was unable to leave the room and my son did not want to leave me alone. I was very fortunate that the amazing Guest Relations Agent Mwinyi was there. He arranged a doctor to come to my room and then checked on me through the day. That evening when I said that my son was not coming to dinner, he arranged for the food AND a birthday cake to be delivered to the room and they also dressed his bed with a happy birthday message. They really saved the day for me as we had come to Zanzibar specifically for my sons birthday and I felt terrible that I was ill and he (by choice) stayed with me for the entire day to make sure I was okay. Thank you Mwinyi for your EXCELLENT service and kindness. I am so impressed that you were willing to go the extra mile for us.

Arrived late at night and fed even though the restaurantwas closing and then went to our rooms, we ordered a double and a twin for our two grown up children but it was a double with a child's 5ft 2'' and my daughter id 5ft6'' and son nearly 6ft. Not a great start but they did put the sofa bed up and put in a couple of chairs but not what we had expected especially as we had junior suites with sea view (Blocked by a building) and had travelled all over Kenya and got twin rooms. Overall the resort was great but I had an issue with tipping, told there was a gratuity box behind the reception and I had to go back and get my wallet immediately before there was a staff change but advised by a restaurant manager that this was not the case and we should tip individual staff. Glad we left something for the girl who cleaned our room each day, left a bit of a sour taste!

Jambo! Good day from Dream of Zanzibar. We appreciate your feedback regarding your stay. The resort has limited twin rooms, and though requests are noted, twins are not guaranteed, but rather subject to availability at check in. Alternatively we provide an extra bed or sleeper couch (depending on the room category). Our Junior Suites are all sea facing and some have sea view. It is suggested to give the gratuities to the individuals that you felt were deserving or leave it for the manager to distribute. It's unfortunate that you experienced these hiccups, but hope you will allow us the opportunity of welcoming you back again. Asante sana!

I arrived on 28.06.19 (my birthday). My luggage was missing and the airport was only going to get it to me the following day. However, from the moment I walked into the reception area, all my worries melted away. We got to my room - with a birthday message and champagne chilling. Everyone was a great help - special mention goes to the staff there: Amani, Agness, Isaya, Last Born, Asnath and the many others that made our stay memorable. The evening entertainment every night was an absolute pleasure to listen to. The only recommendation that I'd ask that you work on is the food. I only enjoyed the breakfast and my dinner at Boma. Just that area of improvement - everything else was perfect. Well done. Asante Sana!
