It’s that time as the tourist numbers begin to grow, Thailand is behind many European destinations coming out of lock down, but not for long. Here’s great value for money at the minute. Five star luxury at three star prices. Grasp it quickly whilst you can. Rooms or beach bungalows are reasonably priced and very comfortable. They have created modern living with historic cultural feel all around the campus - and it is a campus. The stroll down to the beach bar was rewarding, we sat and relaxed watching the sun go down in line with well created ‘happy hour’ cocktails. Thanks to Sara and the others, attentive staff, there when we wanted them but not intrusive and always ready to chat. True Thai culture and hospitality. Really super stay, thanks guys
The resort is just breathtaking and beautiful. I stayed in a private pool villa for two nights and it was the perfect escape from the crazy bustling city of Bangkok. The entire team from checkin to checkout was professional. The F&B team was fabulous during all meals and even went out of their way to deliver goodies during the day. The pool bar team to include Sun was so thoughtful with a nice cold glass of water on arrival and complimentary cocktails too. I highly recommend this resort for anyone who wants to spend some time relaxing by the pool. The beach was pretty but not best for swimming as it was low tide when I went. But again there are two pools to enjoy so no worries there.
Really loved this hotel. It's 5 star luxury but fairly small and intimate. Staff are extremely professional. I know the place well as I stayed about a month. Not the best swimming beach unless you walk about 20 minutes. However, it is picturesque. Best to get a villa if you can. Amazing experience. Birds everywhere. Not on a busy road. We also checked out the Sheraton but really preferred this hotel. If you're not on a meal plan, there are a few good restaurants within walking distance. Kudos to Bow and Top at breakfast. They are awesome. Sugar at reception can resolve any problem with a smile.
One of the best hotels in terms of service I have ever stayed. I have been to 30 countries and stayed at other 5-star hotels in Koh Samui so many times but my stay at Renaissance Koh Samui was exceptional. All their staffs were attentive and helpful. I am a solo female traveller. They took care of me very well. The view at tawaNN restaurant is also breathtaking. I will definitely come back to stay here again soon.
-Have stayed at several Thai and Samui hotels; Overall assessment definitely gives Renaissance a full score!! 2nd home in Thailand:)) Staff is extremly good, and everything is efficient and top quality.
There cannot be any better staff in the world, and they made our holiday special. Sukit (I hope the spelling is correct) the executive Soux chef even came into work on his day off to make sure all the guests were being taken care off by his staff. The staff are unbelievably attentive. As a resort it is fantastic for youngsters as there is little tide and the sea is still only at thigh height for an adult way out to the reef. We much preferred this resort to the JW Marriott in Phuket at which we also stayed. Well done to all staff you are amazing.
We just completed 8 nights stay at Renaissance Samui. Staffs are very friendly and helpful especially K.Sun at pool bar, K.Bow at Banana Leaf and many many staffs that I didn't mention also do their great job. Airport transfer arranged by hotel is superb comfortable and on time. Food at Tawan is very delicious. I could say that Thai food here is a real Thai Taste, not a taste for foreigner (prepare big bottle of water for a real spicy dish). If you are tourist and need to try real Thai food, you do not need to go elsewhere. Housekeeping team is the team that I couldn't forget to mention. On first day, we are in trouble that found cockroach in our villa. The day after first day, housekeeping team did their great job and our villa is superb clean. Breakfast here is good. Samui Benedict and signature pancake is a must try menu here. One thing that make me angry on the last day is gardener come to clean around our villa without notice us. We are taking a bath in the morning, walk out from bath area and surprise that gardener is cleaning next to the window and he can see everything inside our room as we didn't close curtain. It quite disappointed that hotel doesn't have policy for gardener to notice hotel guest before clean surrounding villa.…
This is an older but very well maintained resort between Chaweng and Lamai beaches. Staff are excellent and the grounds are very pretty. Hotel has a small beach with infinity pool just above. Breakfast buffet has a very good variety. Some decent restaurants within waking distance, but most places outside the hotel require transportation.
I can only describe this as a little piece of paradise! The setting with lots of greenery; meant lots of butterflies, numerous birds & other wildlife. We had some bad weather while we were here but there are plenty of activities at the hotel to keep you amused; including learning Thai massage & Thai cookery classes. BUT the most amazing factor in this hotel is the absolutely fantastic staff - I have never encountered such friendly and happy staff - each and every one of them - the most professional of anywhere I have visited; they really do make the experience a 5 star one. Kohb khun ka!
The excellent resort team made our trip a special one. Thai cooking tips from the sous chef during breakfast with tasty asian inspirated classics. Splendid cocktails prepared and served by the pool bar team to get ready for a photo shot at the picturesque beach during sunset. Or the generous treatment to find a room that suits and exceeds my expectations. That all makes and made already for several times the Renaissance Samui a warm resort home for us.
