We were there around August 15th. True, it was a "Covid-August" so, certainly less crowded than in previous years, but the hotel was full nevertheless.
In spite of that, we always got full attention on behalf of the management and personnel.
The hotel is very well located: at walking distance from the ferry harbour and the agreable seaside walk featuring restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself has a handy cafe at the ground floor.
Very clean and sanitized. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The free wifi internet is fast and efficient (to my surprise, since in the Greek islands it generally looms around 1 to 2 mbps).
We feared that the rooms would be noisy but no - they put soundproof windows.
Lastly, for Covid reasons they didn't serve breakfast, but one could obtain it at the ground floor cafe.

Alkyon hotel is in the heart of Patitiri, the port of Alonissos. Next to the hotel there are public parking lots, so it's quite easy to park your car. In the beginning we had booked a "budget room", but when we finally arrived into the hotel and saw the "budget room" we were more than disapointed. It was a small room with old furniture that the only window it had was facing the backyard of the hotel and was very very hot. So we went to the manager and asked to upgrade us in a better room. Thank God he had available one room for the 3 days we would stay there. So we paid a small difference and we got a room for 4 people capacity on the third floor of the hotel, which was perfect! Very well designed and all the furniture were brand new. It had nothing to do with the "budget room" we had seen earlier. The difference between the two rooms is like night and day. Breakfast was included, but we never tried it.

Right in front of the harbor of Patitiri vilage in Alonisos island where the ferry terminal is. Ultra modern rooms with very tasty minimalistic decoration. The Wi Fi was on-off continiously so i chose to stay in the balcony for better reception. Not bad ..since i had excellent sea view room. Some rates include breakfast.

A modern and nicely renovated hotel. The rooms are spacious, sunny cozy and well-cleaned. I loved the shower cabin in the bathroom! The view from the room to Patitiri's port is excellent! The breakfast menu was excellent offering a variety of fresh local products for all dietary needs.
Very hospitable owners. I would definitely recommend it!

I liked this hotel very much. I've travelled a lot on the Greek islands, but this is maybe the first time I stayed in a very modern hotel room in the "middle price category", and it is more similar to a good city hotel than a Greek island hotel. The room looked brand new with nice furniture and a bath room well above average. I had one of the rooms with port view, and with the relatively large balcony (compared to most other hotels on the islands), it was a really nice place to sit and watch the boats in the harbor.

You get off the ferry, walk 50 meters and you are there! Each room is slightly different, and spacious, and clean! Breakfast is included in the price. Customer service is amazing! You want to get the bus to the old village? It's right outside! You want to get a taxi? Again, right outside! You want to rent a car, a boat or anything else? You walk along each side of the hotel and you find dozens of places that will assist you with that! Anything you need, the manager is always there to assist you with it! You will not be disappointed!

We booked into this hotel for one night as a stopover in Alonissos. It was great value at the end of the season. The room was very clean, lovely white crisp sheets and a clean loo/bathroom. It is a basic Greek hotel though, no fancy bathroom, hard beds etc but as a basic hotel it is fine. We had a room over looking the harbour which provided a lovely view and hours of entertainment watching amateur sailors in their yachts (or sometimes falling out of them!) It is basically as expected and fine if you're ok with the standard of hotel in this region and are on the island as it isn't too touristy and very peaceful. Some tavernas nearby, one excellent one overlooking the headland to the left of the hotel (looking out).

I only stayed for one night, so that I could wake up last minute and catch the ferry - whose terminal is right across! Excellent choice I must say... Nicely renovated rooms, nice bathroom with a shower cabin, a little fridge for a refreshment while enjoying the breathtaking view to one of the most picturesque little harbors I've ever visited in Greece. I loved Alonissos and I definitely liked this hotel although I wouldn't have spent all my vacation time there because I'd rather be close to a beach or have a pool. Nevertheless, it had a great mattress and I slept well, even though I had to wake up early the next day to catch the morning ferry and I didn't even have time for breakfast (although included in the price). All in all, it is highly recommended and since it's so close to everything and the room is so cozy, I would definitely visit again for a quick stay! One last thing... I would have appreciated room service, since there is a cafe in the reception area, but I was still able to get a decent cappuccino freddo up in the room while enjoying the view....
