We had a fantastic stay! We stayed in Fynbos. Spacious room with plenty of atmosphere, private terrace with amazing views on the mountains, field to stroll around for the teenage kids, tree swings, horses. The pool is lovely with loungers to enjoy your book or just chill. The restaurant is set in the manor house, again with breathtaking views, the space feels homely, welcoming staff, and Janine making sure every detail is taken care off.
The rooms were very clean, with daily freshing up of the room. The bathroom spacious and modern.
Lastly I’d like to mention the Spa. We had a very relaxing treatment.
Thank you all and I hope till a next time!

Exceptional in every way. Clean, beautiful and thoughtfully furnished units offer a sense of privacy while having great views. Comfort is key in every interaction with the staff, who take every care to make sure you have the best time possible. We wanted for nothing and highly recommend this to one and all.

We have travelled down the R362 road many times, yet somehow not noticed this wine, and stud farm previously. Probably because it is set discreetly off the road.
We were travelling with our family of Canadian teens. We chose this lodge because it is only a half an hour's drive from Gansbaai where they were to shark cage dive the next early morning.
All the rooms are separate little cottages with varying views. Tastefully appointed and very comfortable. We felt very safe. The big surprise was the Lodge's restaurant. The menu was small but the choices and presentation were excellent. The gourmet burgers got a ten star thumbs up! The art in the main rooms is eclectic but beautifully curated. We were literally "blown away" with its stylishness. I had an excellent massage in their peaceful spa after a walk on the cycle track which extends up the fynbos covered hills. The position of the swimming pool is very clever - it has been situated lower than the surrounding garden so that any wind there might be, blows over the top, leaving the pool area a very tranquil spot. we loved our two day stay and will visit again.

We decided we needed a relaxing weekend to gather our thoughts and to indulge ourselves. From the the first greeting the service was friendly and professional. We stayed in Erica cottage , very comfortable and clean with a cute fireplace, wood was provided, and all the kitchen equipment you will need. The cottage is cozy with a bath and an outside shower. We did some self catering and the balance of our meals we ate at the Manor House restaurant. The food is very tasty and the portions are good and hearty. No stay would be complete without having a meal at the restaurant. We took a stroll around the farm which included the swimming dam , vegetable garden and the horse paddocks. It is a great place for children to run around with lots of open lawns to play on. We took a walk on one of the mountain bike trails which follows the river and climbs up a hill with great views of the valley. We treated ourselves to a massage at the spa which is something i would recommend. The staff are well trained and very knowledgeable and offer advice on what option to choose. The spa away from the other buildings so offers a very relaxing atmosphere
Stanford is a couple of minutes drive away with places to eat and enjoy a coffee while walking through the town.
If you are wanting a place to relax and recharge and be pampered then i would say this a very good option.

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at the farm and it is set on the most lush and beautiful rolling green lawns. The welcome from the hosts are warm and friendly. The rooms are very well appointed. The furniture and decor adds luxury and beauty to your stay. The rooms are all serviced so that makes for extra luxury and time off. The fact that the rooms cater to self catering made our stay as a Muslim family even better as we could see to our own dietary needs. The farm has beautiful horses and welsh ponies that one can feed. The swimmable dam area is great for an afternoon picnic and great photo moments. The entire farm is very well maintained and everything is on its place. Access to the local town and surrounding towns range from 10 minutes to 30 minute drives in either direction so it is very well situated.

We couldn't think of a better place to spend 3 nights in celebrating a special wedding anniversary than Stanford Valley Lodge, particularly as our stay coincided with the staging in Stanford of the award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower display reconstructed as an exact replica to give the South Africans a chance to see what brought the accolades to Leon Kluge and his team.

From the time we arrived and were welcomed by Warda and the team on duty with her on arrival, we were made to feel like part of the family and nothing was too much trouble, including Janine making sure that we were accommodated at a table which would ensure that my occasional coughing bouts were not a nuisance to the other restaurant guests. We loved our peaceful accommodation with its beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, the highly effective wood burner which warmed our room in no time and was kept stocked with plenty of wood and firelighters for the cold weather, the complimentary bubbly on our anniversary and all the delicious meals (breakfasts and dinners) served to us by Mike (and Artwell in Mike's occasional absence). Thank you to all involved behind the scenes too.

We loved our say at this scenic location. Walking trails provide opportunities for taking in the spectacular views and also for working off the calories in the delicious dishes served up by a truly amazing chef. All staff went the extra mile to provide a friendly and efficient service. Special kudos to the facilities manager who generously helped with getting our car unstuck from a muddy patch in the parking area on departure. This place is a hidden gem which we highly recommend.

An excellent venue to gather families and friends, the units are comfortable and smart, staff efficient and friendly. The venue offer multiple places to gather - a lovely protected pool area, a comfortable large communal relaxing area - where you can braai , cook, lounge, read and enjoy the veiw. Some of us, cycled, other went on walks, others read.
The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and suppers, with a choice menu and wine list that offers wines from the valley and elsewhere.
We had a memorable , happy, 4 day stay over Christmas.-
a generous breakfast box on Christmas morning, complimentary MC bubbly in the fridge, staff always willing to help
Highly recommendable

The lodge is beautiful nestled in the hills overlooking the valley that stretches to the ocean (in ideal weather conditions). The rooms are very well equipped. Our room and veranda had a fantastic undisturbed view. The vibe is very relaxed and laid-back. The restaurant is absolutely wonderful. What makes this place so special is its staff and its gracious hosts who exude warm hospitality and who always find solutions with a big smile. What is there not to fall in love with?

I booked Stanford Valley Guest Farm for my 50th birthday weekend away with friends and family. it was probably the best weekend I've ever had - Elsabe and her team are unbelievably good at making you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant has sweeping views of the mountains, the rooms are very tastefully decorated. Its not just the setting but the ambience is incredible.

Chef Janine braaied for us on the Friday night in Ouhuis, a gorgeous shed with beautiful old tables and huge braai. She also cooked a superb three course meal on the Saturday . Sundowners at the farm dam, with Alex and Daniel driving up the drinks, right on cue.
Rooms: lovely linen and towels, special extras like rusks & tea and coffee, all rooms and bathrooms are beautifully laid out, not one unit looks the same.
Stunning fynbos meander with wonderful bike and running trails.
There is not one bad thing i can think of. Just go there.
