Beautiful view everything else in normal. Breakfast a bit poor and rooms a bit old. Air conditioning for a fee (extra 10 euros per day, but was indicated when we booked).
The owners are helpful and kind.
Possibility to shower even after check out paying 5 euros per person (they give you towel and shower products).

It lived up to expectations.
The bathroom had a shower with the curtain, the only really negative note. The rest ok, price quality compared to KARPATHOS average. Convenient walking amoopi beach.
Overall we are satisfied.

love at first sight! Best location so close to the beach 1min walk yet away from the craziness&crouds. Nice&quiet area. 10min walk to the smooth sand, crouded beach with bars. :) room was clean. Our bathroom need to renovation. But my friend's was new. The family owner was always friendly. Operating a little shop 500m from hotel. No pool but do not need it. Bar and breakfast area has beautifull panorama to Aegean sea. Breakfast so greek... do not wait nothing special. Coffee for budget is capsule. All the places offer capsule coffe also. I liked. We rented cars only for two days. Enough to visit most sight if you have problem with curves!! Wifi only at reception. When I back in Amoopi Castelia bay will be defin be my first choice!

The bay in front is exceptional, great location. The hotel room itself is nothing special, just the view if u get a sea view room. The airco is upon payment per night which I dont understand and have never seen before, as well as there is no TV in the room. I did not mind but again I found it to be weird. There is daily room service but they leave the doors of the balcony fully opened which I did not like. No small shampoos left in the bathroom as in every hotel. There was nowhere to leave our swimsuits to dry, other rooms had but not ours. We went for breakfast only once as there was nothing much to eat but this is just subjective. We rented a car from the airport, I would recommend u to do the same. For a whole week only 230 euros. Staff is friendly. Being a hotel owner myself I find that this is quite expensive for what it offers except for the view.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel from August 16 to August 23, 2024.
Very poor hotel. In the bathroom there was always a stench of sewer and during each shower water leaked from the external "nozzle" of the shower tray. The beds never made them, I explain: they brought us clean sheets but left them on top of the bed and we had to make the bed ourselves every day, at this point I took the house. Staff helpful but unpleasant and sometimes rude. We often inexplicably found our moved objects (keys, bottles, pajamas)...how dare they touch our things? They were absolutely not annoying because we always put everything on the bedside tables next to the bed. "Icing on the cake" on the last day. We were told that we could use the day of check out to take one last swim in the sea guaranteeing to take a shower in the communal bathroom of the hotel before the shuttle came back to pick us up. The shower broke or rather, as in our room the water came out of the nozzle outside the shower tray. They didn't give a shit about leaving my girlfriend without a shower, making her go on a trip for over six hours. They could "lend us" another room for a 5-minute shower. I gave 2/5 instead of 1/5 just for the view. I woke up and looking out the window I saw the sea. Ah I forgot, for the sea view I paid 50€ more. Recommendation to go to the island of Karpathos because I have never seen such a beautiful sea, not even in Italy and if you can do the excursion to the island of Saria, now uninhabited island and to go there they organize a boat, costs 50 € per person and it takes 2 hours and a half by boat (which leaves from Pigadia). It's worth it. But don't go to Kastelia Bay.

We have been staying in this part of Karpathos for 12 years and it is always very relaxing. If anyone has any complaints about the breakfast buffet, they are free to buy things from the nearby mini-market. The view of the small bay from the hotel is priceless!

Amazing view, very clean hotel, nice and quiet area, beautiful little bay right in front of the hotel to go swimming and snorkling. From the hotel you can walk along the coast to the restaurants and bars and other beaches in Amoopi.
We had very nice room with a big balcony.
Because ours was near the dining room, we unfortunately woke up very early from the noises from starting up the breakfast. But apart from that we had a great stay and would go again.

A wonderful family run small hotel with the most amazing sea views. Rooms and whole hotel spotlessly clean, breakfast great and home cooked Greek lunches . Fridge in room and air con. Towels replaced and room cleaned every day to a very high standard. Greek owners friendly and make your stay easy. Small beach with clear blue sea in front of hotel and just 15 minute walk around the coastal footpath to livelier Amoopi if you want a supermarket and more bars and restaurants. A real taste of Greece, would highly recommend .

I would even say that as somebody wrote that he had no wifi in the room. We had wifi in the room and the signal was perfect both on the balcony and in the room.

Refrigerator and air conditioning we have included (probably depends on the travel agency).

volevo sapere, visto che parto a luglio..le prese di corrente sono come le nostre?..i bancomat ci sono sull'isola?
Answer from sibilla_me
Parma, Italy69 contributions49 helpful votes
Ciao! Buone vacanze! Mi raccomando andate almeno una volta a diakoftis!
