Worth reading it will save you money and spare you from a horrific experience. My family and I visited Amorgos for the first time and was very disappointed with the customer service we received at Angeliki Pension. There was no hand soap where we we’re told that we can go and buy some at the deli market, no toilet tissue, no remote control for the t.v and only one remote to control two air conditioners, oh and the best one of all NO WIFI because she controls it and turns it on when you bring it to her attention. There are four people in the room and when we asked for toilet tissue they only gave one roll. We also had to ask for the cleaning person to come and clean our room or else it would not get cleaned. She lied to us so many times when I asked her about the WiFi and when my mother asked her giving us two different stories. When I asked her for the t.v remote she said that I can change the channel using the buttons on the screen. The internet she said the whole island had a problem. How is that possible because all the WiFi networks came up from the surrounding hotels, but ours. I asked the deli market at the corner and they said no there is no problem the internet around the island they even showed me Then my mother asked her daughter who lives right downstairs and she said that they have no problem. When my mother saw Eleutheria the owner a couple minutes later she told my mom there is problems ask the deli market at the corner not knowing that we asked and told her that we asked and what do-you know the minute my mother walked in the room the WiFi worked because she got caught in her lies! She even gave me the story saying that there are separate lines for each apartment where at another time she told my mother that it’s all on one line. The worst though was the asbestos from the walls. It went all over over everyone’s luggage and clothes, but even worse I have with me my five year old child inhaling it. Eleutheria the owner was not what other people mentioned she tried to tell us about the island from the port all the way to our room without giving us the chance to settle in first. I would never want to go to a place so unsanitary and the owner gave no concern about the people she puts in. Needless to say that she would turn off all the lights in the main entrance and hallways at night. We would turn them on to see and the minute she notices she turns them off leaving everyone in the dark. I personally am visually impaired and turning the lights off did not help.If you choose to stay there just no she charges the entire amount up front and takes the money in seconds. I personally and my family were and still are disgusted no hospitality and dirty and a liar. For the amount of for seven nights 945€ I rather had slept on a bench then having to go there and spend so much money.. Let me not for get to mention expired goods her main kitchen and rusted jars that were never cleaned. I travel a lot worldwide and this is my first time having experiencing this type of hospitality. Amorgos is a beautiful place just stay far away from Angeliki Pension.

We stayed one night before catching the ferry from Katapola. I have not given a bad review previously however the previous reviews were surely provided by friends or family. The ground floor apartment smelled musty. The bath mat on the floor was wet. There was no hot water in the morning for a shower after sleeping on the hardest mattress and pillows ever. The fly wire screens were hanging off and let in mosquitoes to the room - would not take much to repair. The wifi did not work in the room but did in the back street. If we hadn't have prepaid our 52 euro we would have left. One night was more than enough. Perhaps previous reviews were for upstairs apartments which may have been renovated. Totally disappointing.

Angeliki pension features traditional, simple and yet clean rooms conveniently situated close to the port of Katapola. It is ideal for those traveling on a budget, whose mind is set in experiencing the simplicity and magic of Amorgos, in a non-luxurious way. The pension offers basic amenities alongside a unique - colorful with flowers - terrace with wonderful views of the island, ideal for breakfast or a relaxed evening in. If there is one thing that makes Angeliki pension stand out from the crowd, it is the owner's hospitality. Eleftheria went out of her way to accommodate our every single need, and most importantly, provide unique information on island treasures unknown to the average traveler.
