The hotel is tiny and nice. View is just amazing. Swimming pool, together with the sight, is definetely the best thing, plus working till late. Rooms could be newer but they are ok for the price. Overall a very good experience.

I stayed here for a couple of days last September. The staff is very nice and makes you feel at home. The rooms are clean and big, and the terrasse with swimming pool is lovely. It’s a great spot to explore the fishermen town of Kolymbari and the all the west part of Crete.

My family stayed from 24th July until 4th August 2018 in Aphea Village. We recommended this location because of former satisfied friends one year ago. My brother made a booking mistake and booked two days too much. Since it was with booking.com, he could not change. The manager

My dear Raphaela, Your brother had made a wrong booking which could had been modified before the arrival. Why not.? Some other guests have done it. Yes, the manager (my father) said that he will cover the additional cost with food & beverages That was 40E. Us you know we are a small family hotel and then was a high season with many guests and requirements. So the fact had been (badly) forgotten. At the check out the bill had been given to you from our employee (and not from his wife as you said). Your father paied without any complaint and left. He could ask to speak with my father who is the manager, speaks fluently German and on this time he was in his office. If they had been spoken then everything would be fine and you didnt have to white unpolite rewies everywhere. I want also to inform you the the 40euros (from the bar) had been sent from the day that we notice that fact. Concernig the ants they are coming easily from the nature to the room when the smell scattered crumbs on the floor or on the table. All fridges have a visible botton inside that can be regulated by the guest! Greece may have crisis but we have pride and dignity, too. We never could think to set up a "show" to earn 40 more euros Sincerery, Maria on behalf of Aphea Village

Although the aphea village is on a hillside it didn't let us down on the accommodation side. It was very clean, the staff couldn't do enough for you, they even found us an iron to use while we stayed for the week. Rooms were cleaned daily, Downside was the all the steps,

The pool is on an open terrace during the day, although there are shaded areas on the terrace to cool off and enjoy food and a drink from the bar. Hope this helps and you enjoy your holiday.

Contact the hotel and request a 2 bedroom unit, 1 double and 2 singles. the one we had was room 54, loads of steps, Not sure of your party make up, but the 1 bed rooms did look a bit small.

Yes towels are provided, they are the usual small hotel towels though so best to take a couple of beach towels as well
