Euphoria Resort is lauded for its friendly and efficient service, although there have been some hiccups with room cleaning and restaurant reservations. While opinions on value are split due to unexpected additional costs, the spacious pools and range of dining options are popular highlights among guests. Cleanliness is generally applauded, but not without mention of occasional housekeeping slips. The resort's atmosphere is noted for its tranquility, which may not suit those seeking vibrant nightlife. Room quality is typically commended for space and cleanliness, yet some guests report issues. Lastly, the location's suitability receives mixed feedback, with some finding it less than ideal for families and walking.

This is my second visit to the hotel and two years later it's just as impressive with some familiar faces still working there which is a good thing to see.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. Everyone we encountered were friendly and a credit to the Hotel.

Yes there have been some changes with Covid, but actually I think they work pretty well. The buffet is served too you and there's no longer queues for a toaster that you normally see at breakfast everywhere as the staff are on it and constantly having toast ready. I actually found it took less time to get what I wanted this way round which was excellent. There also appeared to be less waste as people couldn't pile their plates high. - Needless to say if you did want more you were given it.
I also like the fact you booked your evening meal for the buffet and it felt less crowded.

There was loads of space around the pool and we were always able to get a spot without having to get up at a silly time.

The views from this place never get tired. It was so relaxing in the evening just sitting looking over the pools down to the sea.

Food was fantastic and although smaller options that before, the quality was excellent.

To all the staff working 5-12th Sep thank you for a great staff. It was so nice to get away and forget about Covid and have a relaxing break.

We booked this holiday at the end of last year pre COVID and when we found out that it was re opening and that travel to Greece was still possible we thought we would take a chance and go. I’m so glad we did!

As soon as we arrived, we were told to take off our masks (that are mandatory in the airport and taxis). We were warmly welcomed and given a cold drink and shown to our rooms. The staff won’t come into your room but they brought our cases to the door so we just had to wheel them through.

I have stayed in many all inclusive resorts, mostly TUI Sensatori resorts, and I’ve never seen one as clean as this. The entire place is absolutely spotlessly clean. The rooms are huge, plenty of storage for our family of four. We had a swim up family suite and it was perfect for us, two bathrooms, two showers and a massive bath, there was just so much space for all of us! Because of Covid they advise they’re only cleaning the rooms every four days and changing towels every two days - this wasn’t an issue for us because with so much space it was easy to keep the place tidy. If you wanted it cleaned more you can have it done on request.

The food was very good. Friends who we travelled with came last year and they said there was more choice previously but this year the choice was slightly more limited and all the buffets were served to us but I didn’t see an issue with the food, good selection, excellent salads. I think perhaps another a la carte restaurant would be better just for more options but equally at the moment it’s understandable that they have to limit what they’re offering currently.

We didn’t have an issue with queuing in the buffet but as we left we did notice the resort was getting busier and the queues were getting longer. That being said, I’ve encountered this in pretty much every all inclusive resort I’ve ever been to!

Other plus points - plenty of green space, nice range of drinks on offer, friendly staff, the on site water park is amazing. We also got a taxi into Chania town one evening and that was really lovely.

Down sides - none really. We’d have liked the gym to be open before 10 but this is again because of COVID. Maybe more children’s entertainment would be good but again, things being what they are at the moment frankly we were just happy to be away and our kids were happy running around on the grass while we ate dinner!

Overall this is a really great resort and they’re managing the current situation very well!

It is our third time here as there is something very special about this hotel. The minute you walk through the front door and into reception, a calm and welcoming aura almost grabs you. It's like you have come home again but also as if you had never been away. It actually felt that way on our first stay.
You are greeted by the ladies from the customer relations team led by the amazing Marina. You are taken to an outside lounge area where they check you in with such ease and skill you almost don't realise you have done it. The next step is that one of the team then takes you to your room whilst on the way giving a guided tour of the complex. The grounds are immaculate as the rooms to where your bags have already been delivered.
Home, sweet home. That's what it feels like. It is without doubt the most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in and I've been in a lot!
On Sunday, Yvonne and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. We had dinner upstairs in the Chef's Grill where the food was superb. We were just thinking about whether to have a desert when a gorgeous heart shaped chocolate cake was presented to us with the compliments of the hotel along with a beautifully worded card. It won us over again! We still have another ten days here.
Would we come again? Definitely.
What is it about this place that makes the difference? It's the staff.
They are all so nice and nothing is a problem. Euphoria....... We love You.

The location and rooms are nice. But alot to do with staff not being service minded. I came before 20 minutes my time in the gym and no one was there and they did not let me in. Next day it closed 5 minutes earlier. The gym was also only open between 10-18 which is not the exact time you want to exercise during your vacation. 1 cleaning of the room per week due to corona. We also got the “option” to upgrade to a suite. The shower is leaking in to the toilet and the sink is broken. So small things that adds up.

The food has not been very good. Not any varation barely and few choices. We ate at the Chefs grill and were served raw chicken souvlaki, we sent it back and it came back the same way again. No excuse our nothing. We are not picky people, but at a 5 star cost this should not happen.

It says something, when the best restaurant is the Souvlaki place by the kids pool. The desserts consists of 3 different things everyday and all with cream, unfortunate for us being intolerant to lactose.

We are usual travelers and stayed at many similar locations. It is a shame because it is a nice hotel with a good part for kids. But the service needs to be upscaled quite much in order to function as a 5 star.

Pros
This resort is great with a modern, contemporary design throughout. The pool is huge and well maintained as is the rest of the resort. Also the staff are well trained and did provide a great service aside from the con around food stated below.

Cons
The food was not great. More importantly what we found hugely dissatisfying is that they did not suitably accommodate for vegetarians at all!! At all the restaurants (a la carte and buffet) there was probably only 2 desserts that we could actually eat. What is worse is that there were no signs next to any of the desserts which let us know whether they were suitable for vegetarians. We had to ask the staff who had no clue and they had to go ask the chef who would then inform us literally after 10-15 mins that none were suitable for vegetarians. For an all inclusive resort 5* star this was shocking that throughout our whole stay we could only eat a handful of desserts. There was even one situation where the staff didn't understand what we meant by vegetarian and we had to explain this to them and the chefs which shows the lack of awareness they have of vegetarian dietary requirements.

I also have to mention about cross contamination where at the omlette station at breakfast I noticed there were pieces of bacon in the mushroom compartment which is shocking and put me off asking for omelettes for the rest of our stay.

We did complain about the lack of options for vegetarians at the resort however no action was taken (all we were told is that they will inform the chefs about this).

Overall this is a beautiful resort with well trained staff however we were hugely dissatisfied at the lack of awareness around the need for food suitable for vegetarians (especially as literally every single dessert contained animal gelatine and there was no sign next to any of the desserts to mention this) and the need to be careful around cross contamination.

Tips
Book a la carte restaurants as soon as you arrive as availability is limited
No water sports services provided by the Hotel
DO NOT VISIT if you are vegetarian

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt this hotel and team really deserve it. We just came back from trip to Crete.
I'm quite picky when choosing Hotels, after some research i choose this hotel due to location but also due to previous reviews.
From the moment you reach the hotel you feel the connection with the team, I can't thank George and Marina enough from front desk they helped us with everything, we miss you guys already.
Checking in is done digitally using your own mobile, we had room 731 private pool and sea view, simply amazing, but to be honest whatever room you choose you can't go wrong. If you want a quite room get the ones close to the sea.
It's all inclusive experience, activities for children and water slides, shows later on at night. You don't really need to leave the hotel.
There are restaurants outside the hotel in Kolymbarie ask Chrisa about them :)
The team where very serious when it comes to COVID, everything is clean, everyone is wearing masks even the gardeners..
We will be back for sure next year, keep on the good work

The hotel itself is beautiful, immaculately clean and modern - something that I was seeking when looking for a hotel to stay in. Upon arrival you are sat down in the lounge and given cold towels and freshly made lemonade which was a really nice touch after such a long journey (our flight was delayed 3 hours) Check in is done on the sofa electronically so no need to stand at the desk waiting around, again something that I thought gave a much more luxury feel. The staff immediately make you feel welcome. We were upgraded to two pool facing one rooms because they didn’t have any garden facing next to each other - we really appreciated this!
The food was of a good quality but the only downside was I didn’t feel there was that much selection and it felt a bit repetitive, especially the children selection which was limited to chicken nuggets or fish fingers pasta and chips every day. Some burgers and pizza too would be a welcome addition. There is going to be a new Asian restaurant opening soon which we would’ve loved to experience! We tried the other two al la carte restaurants which were nice, although unfortunately the service at Kouzina was not great and we ended up waiting over 45 mins for our starter which when you have young children isn’t ideal. They seemed to be short on staff, although the manager said it was a communication error. On the whole it was nice to “eat out” somewhere different.
The pools are lovely, and perfect for children with the beach style edge where little ones can play. There is also an additional shallow children’s pool where my 6 year old spent most of her time. Down the other end of the pool towards the beach there is a ‘quiet area’ which is good as it gives couples and those without children a place to relax. The water park is brilliant, all 4 of my children spent a lot of time there. The waffle and gyros bar inside is a great touch!
The hotel operates a no reserving of sunbeds policy which I think is great! There’s always people who go out at 6:30am and lay their towels across a bunch of beds and then don’t come back out to use them till 10am which isn’t fair on others. I did see the staff removing peoples items a couple of times, although the people in question weren’t too happy about it of course but I think it’s a good thing and wish more hotels did it.
As far as evening entertainment goes it was a little disappointing… I was expecting a traditional Greek night or something a bit more lively, but it was very mellow with live music which was ok but not to my taste. It just felt a little bit boring. They do have a mini disco on the grass for the kids in the evening for 30 minutes which my daughter enjoyed. I didn’t particularly go for the entertainment though so it wasn’t a problem really.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday at Euphoria resort and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and all the waiters bringing drinks to everyone all day under the sun!
Samantha

When they say all inclusive, believe them. We just spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Euphoria. COVID is managed with ease and charm. Shame for all the unnecessary plastic used (gloves at buffet and disposables etc) but at least there are separated recycle bins and it looks like somehow and eye on sustainability is kept. A vitamins juice bar for freshly squeezed fruit & vegetable and many vegan options at the buffet made this stay even more agreeable. They manage crowds really well and though many of the staff are ‘trainees’ they are all polite , quick and very helpful. At no point do you feel like one in the crowd, - much more they will go out of their way to make you feel like a VIP individual . Some 5 boutique star hotels take note: you can achieve personalized service being big as well . Rooms are rather new and clean. Unless you arrange otherwise the housekeeping comes rather late in the day. The beach is wonderful and clean. Probably the nicest I have seen on. Crete . Children water park is not huge but clean and def does the trick . The resorts is very family friendly, easy to keep an eye on your kids. Fitness classes are well organized and the spinning is on a roofed terrace with a beautiful sea view . You get 2 a la care dinners per stay … frankly not that much better than buffet but nice change. Not much to fault really . Even the quality of wines , part of the all I clue I’ve deal are not as bad as one would expect. We very much hope Euphoria keeps the standard up, maintaining and renovating little damages & cracks that seem to pop up , rather than building an annex which would make the resort TOO big. We had a room with direct pool access which allows for much appreciated privacy

Second time we have been to this hotel (we first went in 2018 when it had just opened). It is modern and tidy. The waterpark is great and the pool/grounds are wonderful. There are plenty of sun loungers around the huge pool which is never over crowded. However, here is the truth. The hotel is 5 star but the service and food is no where near unless you like to eat salad which was fine for me as I was on a diet. Both times we went most of the staff have been uninterested in their jobs so don't expect a speedy service (most staff are students working through the summer months). If you order any drinks by the pool you will wait a long time for your drinks and probably end up going to the bar yourself. They now have a new policy so you can only order 2 drinks at a time at the pool bar which caused some guests to become angry. The national meat dish of Greece is lamb but you rarely find it at this hotel. There is a lot of pork during meal times (we were told by our cab driver this is because they buy mass farmed pork from Netherlands which is cheap) and turkey. Meat and fish at the buffet restaurant can be dry if you don't get there as soon as it opens. The A la Carte restaurants are OK but don't expect too much. Check any pork or chicken is properly cooked as both my son and I had the chicken at the Italian and blood was running out red from the meat so we changed to the Sea Bass dish instead. Room cleaning is very average and they charge 2 euro for each coffee if you use the coffee machine. The only drinks in the room is water which is not replenished. They do not replenish the shower gel or shampoo so take your own. I have to say we got a good deal both times we went. If you pay more than £1700 per person including flights in peak season (1870euro) I think you will be disappointed. The evening entertainment is 'ok'. The wifi is good in the rooms and OK around the pool. There are very few TV channels but we took our laptop with HDMI cable so we could watch films, etc otherwise the evenings can be very boring. The beach is rubbish, it may be blue flag but is nothing like a proper blue flag beach. Lots of rocks, waves are quite rough, water is murky. If you can get it at a good price then it is worth going but it really is not worth a premium price - there are better options out there.

The weather on our week at Euphoria (mid Oct.) was really bad, but that was not hotel`s fault. I would say this is the best all inclusive hotel I`ve been in Europe. Nice, new facilities. Pool water cold in autumn, but understand that it is not heated in Europe.

The thing hotel should fix is the bathroom floor (our room 214). In our room, after shower, the water was spread almost everywhere in the bathroom. The hotel should build small sill between the sink and the shower to keep water under shower. And add glass wall there too. It was a bit annoying that your feet got wet everytime you went to bathroom. Otherwise great hotel. Unfortunately due to bad weather we did not manage to join football, table tennis, beach volley and beach tennis like we had planned (I travelled with two teens). Also the water sports would have been great, but the sea was really rough so it was not even possible to swim there.

The personnel was helpful. They advised where to get food when we arrived and gave us a breakfast package when we departured very early. The vitamin bar at the pool side was delicious! The lounge bar also makes great lattes.

The a la carte restaurants were good. Buffet restaurant was quite noisy (at least when no possibility to eat outside due to weather). I would have preferred less options and more quality, but I understand that some travellers demand for instance beans 😀 We discovered the sea side lunch restaurant on our last day, which was much nicer than the big buffet restaurant (more quiet). If we ever come back to Creta, we would choose Euphoria again.
