Food was OK but not great. Rooms are pretty spartan but we didn't spend much time there anyway. Internet was very bad and slow, and we even had bad 3g/4g reception in our room. Shout-out to the awesome crew that host the kids disco every night!

We have just returned from a week away at Chrispy resort, I’ll be totally honest, reading the reviews sent me into panic mode before we even got there!! I even emailed the hotel before we arrived to air my concerns. I shouldn’t of stressed at all. We went as a family of 5, the kids absolutely loved the water park and especially loved the life guards Steve and William, they were amazing with all the children. The rooms, yes they are basic, we had a duplex room but let’s me honest, you use the rooms to sleep and get ready so they served their purpose. In the duplex room the upstairs gets very hot but we requested a fan and within 5 minutes we had a stand up fan delivered which really made a difference. The food was lovely, very much like all the all inclusive hotels, the salads were amazing with plenty of choice, breakfast was also a hit with the kids with fresh pancakes made at the cooking station. Drinks..some of the soft drinks did taste a bit watered down but the fizzy lemon drink was my favourite, only downside with drinks was the normal tea bags, they ran out of them quite a lot. Location...the hotel is out of the way but we were paying €18 for a return ticket into one of the towns to do shopping etc, the buses run ever 15 mins up until midnight. The pebble beach was ok, on a calm day it was beautiful to go snorkelling but please be warned that there are goats and ram’s that cross the road to go into the other field with the farmer and one of the rams was partial to chasing us. The hotel is very clean and the cleaners work so hard to keep on top if everything. Thank you Chrispy resort for a lovely holiday

A hotel out in the sticks so not much to see within walking distance, but with lots of entertainment thanks to the awesome animation team - special thanks to Alen, Vinko, Petra and Nika! Great large pool, water slides, clean areas and friendly staff. All together a pleasant stay.

After reading the reviews I was really dreading this holiday as soon as I stepped foot off the plane I was so anxious and nervous as to what we would be arriving to in the middle of the night but I can honestly say other than the first night when there was a power cut in the middle of the night (which can’t be helped) not once did I think “what have I done” this was soon rectified and once my phone was finally changed I relaxed and started to enjoy the sunshine, the weather has been beautiful today is our last day and although it’s a little over cast it is still hot, so let’s start with the food I have 2 boys 11 & 5 and yes they may not have eaten from the kids section most of the time but there hasn’t been one meal when there hasn’t been anything for them to eat my 5 year old loves fresh fruit and salad stuff which is on offer at every meal time even breakfast and my 11 year old isn’t as healthy with his choices but he has tried a variety of things on offer and liked most of them, there are always lots of different fresh Greek salads and other Greek dishes after all you are visiting a Greek island, The bread and cakes are fresh and soft and there is always ice cream on offer which was a massive hit with the kids when the restaurant isn’t open then the snack part is so there is always food available you can also order pizza from the tavern and you can also have one meal there we booked but didn’t make it back from our trip in time so ate in the restaurant which was Italian night so pizza and pasta’s went down well, the hotel isn’t band new so I don’t know what people really expect but it’s kept very clean and tidy all time, the beds were comfy yes the rooms are pretty basic but you only sleep in them (we had a superior family room with pool view and balcony) the air con worked once we figured out what setting to have it on and our rooms were nice and cool the whole of our stay, the on site water park was the main reason I booked this hotel as i knew both my boys would love it and it did not disappoint after a couple of days my 11 year old made friends and he was off doing his own thing for most of the day checking in for drinks and suncream there is also a drink station situated between the main pool and the slides which both the kids loved as they could help them selves personally I drank water the whole time but my husband said that the larger (there was only one brand) was actually really nice so finally location the hotel is in the middle of no where which is actually quite nice there is a bus stop at the top of the hotel and the buses run every 15mins so there isn’t any issues getting to other towns we visited Chania and walked along the harbour but it was very busy “hustle and bustle” which isn’t really for me but everyone is different. If you are wanting to take a trip then I highly recommend a trip to BALOS BEACH LAGOON it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and you could easily spend all day there taking in the beautiful views and bathing in the warmest lagoons and crystal clear waters we left it till the last minute to decided to go so the excursion wasn’t on the day we wanted to go but tbh I think it saved us a few € buy doing it the way we did, we caught the bus around 11.30am it left Chania at 11am to kissamos port and from there we went on a boat to balos beach if you go by car then you have a good 30mins walk down to the beach the boat was €27 adult and €13 child we were taken to another little island with a ship wreak where we had an hr or so then on to balos beach where we had 3.5hrs had we have know how nice it was we would have taken the earlier bus 9am and spent the whole day there as it’s stunning ☀️🇬🇷 Over all the whole family has really enjoyed the holiday and we don’t really want to be going home I personally wouldn’t visit again but it’s not the hotel it’s Crete in general and that’s only because I don’t like going to the same places I would rather visit another island and see more of the world 🌍
