We came here last minute after getting our planned holiday cancelled. We stayed in the family duplex apartments as they were 5 of us. I have to say the rooms are not fantastic, very basic, no much storage for five of us, just one small wardrobe and the bathroom was not good, no shower curtain so after 5 of us had a shower the bathroom was covered in water. However, we viewed our room as just a base to sleep in, nothing more, so it didn’t ruin our holiday.
The pools are great, water park fantastic, the food was your average all inclusive, but nice. Drinks good for kids, alcohol poor, but nothing different than any all inclusive, we got beer from the mini market instead.
The beach is a 2 minute walk away and it’s great. It was so quiet, there was literally only us on there. However the beach is pebbles and is very painful on the feet so I’d definitely invest in some sea shoes. There’s a bar at the beach that lets you have the loungers if you buy a drink, we carried the loungers to the sea front and it was perfect day.
The cleaning in the hotel was good, in the rooms we only had our bins emptied once during the week stay, which wasn’t too nice considering you cannot put toilet paper down the toilet! But I think we do need to remember that we are holidaying during COVID and we cannot expect services to run as normal.
The staff were very welcoming and polite and worked very hard all day and night.
Lots of cats around, but we loved seeing them, we did not find it a problem at all.
We did have a major problem with mosquito bites, me and my husband were covered in them so I’d highly recommend some repellent and after cream.
There is very little around the hotel but tbh, we didn’t explore that much. We literally went for a week relaxing in the sun and thats exactly what we got. No rush for sun-beds, food available all day, the snack bar does lovely pasta and salads, ice creams all day which were also lovely.
If you’re wanting a relaxing, slow paced holiday with family this is ideal.

We've spent there 12 days, two adults and an 8 years old son ( plus second family 2+2). Since we've booked the place in April, there was no problem with contacting the Hotel, we've asked for the rooms together. Since the hotel was fully booked, we weren't sure will we get the rooms, but we did one next to the other one. Rooms were just like they were described, maybe the bed frames need some replacement, but the mattresses are nice and comfortable. The cleaning service is working very hard to make the guests happy, and we were very happy, the room was cleaned and tidied every day (besides Monday when the room cleaning was off probably). Restaurant, and here is room for improvement - air conditioning didn't work for most of the days, smoke from the bbq inside was too big to sit comfortably. Mask and gloves are mandatory inside when you choose your food. The food, lovely especially vegetable dishes which we loved the most, bbq meat very good, fish & seafood good, many salads, fruit and desserts all really tasty, and we didn't felt bored with the food for 12 days, maybe just one day we didn't find anything special. Breakfast is regular like in every other hotel, a big choice you won't get out hungry. The waterpark is great for that small hotel, 7 slides and they're all nice and fast, maybe not enough of the inflatables to use on specific slides or just need to change the policy and don't let one people use one for a whole day. Anyway, you'll have a lot of fun. Nice area for the smaller kids with a site too. Main swimming pool, well here is the biggest room for improvement. We feel the water should be a bit cleaner, it may be just a matter of vacuum it for longer like the whole night? The bar and the staff at the bar, most of the barmen were very nice and was trying hard to make the guests happy. Sometimes just maybe not enough of them working on one shift? Thank you Christian for all the special cocktails for our girls! Our cups were never empty :P In our opinion, if you pay 1660€ for 3 people for 12 nights, the hotel is amazing value for money, keep on doing the great work and try to improve the small things. If you're fossy and on your holidays try to find something wrong at every step, go and pay 4000€ for pretty much the same experience, and then you may be happy. We were so happy in Chrispy Hotel that we would like to come back again one day!

Stayed for one week for family holiday 1st week October. Arrival and check in was pleasant. Escorted to our room by receptionist, reception are really informative and helpful as are most the staff. The rooms are kept really clean and are quite modern, the bed is one of my most comfortable iv slept in, I had a room with a private pool which is an expensive upgrade, do not book one of these rooms as the pool is very very cold and is quite unusable for this reason. Food is hit and miss, the main restaurant was closed as was the hotel during my stay so I can’t comment of the a la carte restaurant. Drinks are off brand as you’d expect but are quite sweet but drinkable. Location wise you are in the middle of nowhere so I found I started to get bored after awhile, although you can hire a car from reception quite cheap and with minimal fuss. Kids enjoyed the water slides there are 6 slides they do need some maintenance as both myself and kids cut ourselves going down them. I’m not unhappy with my experience but I would not book again, my issue is not with the hotel but with tui, who falsely advertise or do not advise what’s open or closed, wanted to use the spa and use the restaurant both unavailable but both advertised as open, and the 24 hour rep service turns out to be 1 hour every other day.

Just spent two weeks here with my partner and our two children 10 and one turned 5 whilst there. Firstly we dis not expect the ususal experience due to covid and staff shortages and local restrictions. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and was very happy with our room 811 in the block overlooking the sea. We had a large family room that had sliding door between our large double bedroom and the childrens twin bedroom, the bathroom was fairly modern and had a seperate shower plus a shower over a bath and in the hallway there was a large three door wardrobe with plenty of storage. The room only caught the sun early morning or late evening but did benefit from the beautiful sea view. The aircon in the room although a little noisy was ice cold when needed. The restaurants where kept clean and tables cleaned throughout with food replenished regularly, the food was of an ok quality and we always found something to eat, the drinks where also ok and perfectly drinkable. Remember this is a three star hotel and if you are used to fine dining and branded drinks this hotel may not be for you. The pools and slides where great with plenty of loungers most days. My children loved the slides and splash park and spent a lot of time here. My children also spent time with the entertainer Chiara who did craft and sports with the children most days, unfortunately due to the local restrictions music was not allowed in the resort until our last few days but then the hotel started the mini discos again. For the price we paid we where extremely happy and I would recommend this for any families. Just do your research first on location to see if this resort suits you as it is fairly far out but is on a good bus route plus car hire directly from the hotel is easy and cheap with good quality hire cars.

We have loved our week away here. After mixed reviews, I went expecting the worst but the negative reviews must be from extremely picky complainers. The 2 negatives we found were the drinks, strange taste to the juices, cheap cola, spirits not the nicest and larger very weak. However it is so warm, we were happy with the icey water, ice coffees, kids loved having reign of choosing their own drinks and it's certainly isn't a put off. The other isn't a complaint, just a suggestion to maybe move the music system to the entertainment area rather than close to the toddler pool through the day as it was quite loud at times. Food was beautiful,fresh, lots to chose from, the 9lb I've gained proves that! we were never stuck for a meal, the staff are extremely hard working, always replenishing food, snacks and non stop cleaning. We had no issues at all and have loved it. The water park is great, would be good to know height restrictions before get there, however toddler water park is right next to the larger slides so we could all be in same area together. We are a family of 5 with 12 year old, 8 and 3 year old, they were all happy in the hotel. Also know there is an added bedroom tax to pay on arrival, didn't know this at point of booking, I can't remember off hand what it is, possibly 20euros but double check. Staff could not be more helpful, friendly, polite and welcoming. The lady who works the snack bar throughout the day, Manonna is lovely and became our kids holiday nana. We had room 702,lots of space for us, cleaned daily apart from one day view of waste land with nearby beach within view, listening to the sea at night was lovely. The resort is small which helped me relax, I am usually panicky when I can't see the kids but here I felt very at ease. Small supermarket on site very cheap and worth getting small gifts from. Recommend the day trip to Elofanissi beach (spell check that) Greek version of the Maldives, absolutely incredible sight to see, the mountain journey is worth it alone! Took 40 minutes bus ride to Chania old town, again so beautiful! We recommend this hotel without any hesitation and would definitely come back.

We went as a family of 3 and it was beyond hectic. When we checked in, we were put in the room directly about the bar which was incredibly loud and very dated. Our 5 year old couldn't sleep and when I spoke to reception to ask to move rooms, the lady was very rude to me. (why they thought it was an appropriate room for a young family is beyond me) The stairs to get to the room were very dangerous and had no handrail or barrier and are an accident waiting to happen. Anyway we moved room the following day, the room was much better but the stench of sewage to get to and from it was disgusting. The main pool is not very big, loungers are packed on top of each other and the water in the pool was murky. My daughter cut her toe on a broken tile. The sheer volume of people in it was dangerous. They have no life guard at this pool, or the quieter pool at the top (which not many people seemed to know about) so should someone be in trouble, there's no one to help. The bar staff looked bored to be there and gave no care to their service of watered down drinks and rations of ice. They say they have a 'kids club' but what this really means is they have 2 adults who pull out some drawing for them to do in the day. The mini disco is on at either 7.30 or 8pm and then that's it. They then offer 'entertainment' which is completely inappropriate for children. This all takes place by an outdoor 'stage' where you can sit on wooden steps crawling with ants. There is literally nowhere else to sit and nothing for the children. Food is edible but very samey. There doesn't seem to be enough seating for guests and finding cutlery can be a real problem. The cleaners were the friendliest of all the staff and we had no issues with the cleanliness of our room. All in all, they have not focused on getting one thing right so all the things they 'offer' are either basic, poor or inadequate

We stayed 5 nights. Excellent resort for the family. The bad reviews have too high expectations. It is good balance of quality vs the price you pay.
It is not a 5 star luxury resort, but for the value its very good. Yes some parts look abit tired, the rooms may need a little more attention for example yes the water faucet moved a little but it was functionable , does the door have some scratches, yes but again it's functionable.
Bad reviews seem to expect a 5 star quality.
Buffet
We could not find anything to complain food was good yes there was a base of food which was the same but you had 2-3 different options per night. More than decent and the quality was good. It may become busy certain times but not the resorts fault, the personnel handle it well.
Pools
Main pool was good nothing to say, we always found deckchairs and shade at all times (fair enough we were not there peak peak.
The Childrens pool and facilities were good also, some little maintenance needed on some parts, maybe repair some minor broken (but made safe parts) but overall again functionable and enjoyable for the young children .
The large slides where well maintained and lifeguards on duty attentive
Location The location is what it is but its actually a nice walk to the pebble beach and around. Also although it is a little far from Chania it actually works to its advantage. Going to Chania you are one of the earlier stop and have a better probability to get on the bus with space The closer we got to Chania the bus was full and we skipped a number of bus spots with numerous people waiting for a bus with space and going back after a couple of stops the bus becomes empty and you can get a seat space :)
General cleanliness was great, constantly cleaned and rubbished picked up.
Spa service was amazing we booked a massage, highly recommended.
Overall the staff were amazing from the entertainment team which tried to encourage everyone to participate to the lady at the snack bar , receptionists . servers and cleaners, you really feel welcome.
Would visit again for sure if going back to Chania!

Arrived back from 8 days in July 2024. Firstly after arriving very early hours, we had a plesent welcoming, with the receptions explaining everything and personally showing us to our rooms and offering to carry our bags. All reception staff were plesent and helpful. For the hotel itself - Our room that was located in the block at the back was very nice, room were cleans, nice decor, beds were super comfy and ample of storage. We were shocked to have a separate bath and shower. Facilities such as the pools, splash park and water slides are very good and kept us entertained though the steps to the water slides are slippy and probably could do with some TLC. Pool is kept very clean and is plenty big enough. All Inc food - for the first few days we were pleased but then found it very repetitive but it is your standard All Inc buffet food, not awful but not great. Snack bar is the best we've experience with the choices you can get from chip, pork gyros, nuggets, wraps, sandwiches, pasta and cakes. Bar - downfall is the limit on which drinks you can get a set times, no vodka etc until 1pm and no cocktails until 6pm. The drinks aren't bad and measurements are generous, bar staff are good but always seem to only have 1 person on the bar which made wait times to get a drink painful. Entertainment was good with plenty of activities and evening shows, though the timetable is the same each week - the live shows such as ABBA and the Arcobatics are excellent and the animation teams efforts were great however sadly they are stretched and this showed with us highlighting how much they work with little resources. We personally enjoyed our stay at this hotel, we went with an open mind and the idea of a standard 3 star hotel and it is what we experienced. The biggest downside to this hotel in the location, it is miles away from anything busy, to get out there is a bus stop right outside the top side of the hotel but it is a good 20 minutes to Platanias and 45 to Chaina though it is reasonably priced. Small unspoilt pebbled beach only 5 minute walk that does have a beach bar which is friendly and well priced. Our overall experience was good and we enjoyed a nice relaxing break here in a hotel that kept my 9 year old happy. This is a honest and fair review of the hotel - a holiday is what you make it!

Firstly, we paid £1,500 for three of us to do a week's All Inclusive. This says it all really, a fantastically cheap summer holiday, so any other comments fall under the 'get what you pay for category'. There are too few staff here, but those that are work really really hard with little thanks from most of their customers. The pool and slide areas are not well policed and this allows those people who are inconsiderate to others to just do as they like. The food areas can resemble a chimps tea party at times, but what do you expect for such a cheap holiday? If you do this trip, then expect to experience the worst that some European countries can throw at you and be calm about it. There is no point in moaning. However, it does make you appreciate that British and Scandinavian people are respectful to others, and Brexit has had some benefits!

Good idea on evening arrival. First we went for a dinner later accomodation. The room we Got was not very well because it was above reception and it was loud from the bar and lobby but in the morning we changed without any problem. Lady from reception Eleftheria was very kind. All staff begening frim ladies cleaning, waiters, reception people is very kind. Everybody is smiling. Food is very good. Testy, variety, and a Lot. Drinks in AI are albo very good. Room are clean, everuday is servis, changed towels. Swimming pool big enough, clean, waterpark is very big fun for everyone. We also rent a car with no problem. There is możliwość snackbar with very testy snacks. The beach is good, clean and nearby. Bus station is next to hotel and it is easy to get to Chania.
