Great location within the forest, next to the Slovenian border. Big and well equipped rooms and nice services, especially horse riding. The food was excellent and the staff is kind. They allow dogs but it does not disturb (only the resident cats). You can visit Hungarian small villages, Lenti thermal bath, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.

Our trip to Abbazia Country Club was fabulous. It was everything we hoped for. Dogs, horses and beautiful countryside. Easy walk to Slovenia and a short drive to Croatia.
The front desk person at all times spoke sufficient English to be helpful. The balance of the staff did not, but they made every effort to communicate and witha great attitude. We were always pleased.
The restaurant was delicious. Menus in Hungarian and German. Google Translate helped immensely.
The main attraction for us was the horses. The couple who manages the barn both speak English more than functionally. They will take you on trail rides into the forrest and across the border into Slovenia. We also booked a carriage ride. That also was in the woodlands and across the border.
The rooms have no A/C, you can rent a fan. In USD it was a negligible cost. Internet was not included but also very inexpensive. They do not have laundry facilities, but you can have clothes washed for a few dollars per 5kg load.
The room was spacious the furniture was all solid hard wood. We booked the romo that could accomodate 4 anticipating a folding sofabed in the front room. It was another full bed. Our only leisure seats were hardbacked chairs.
I don't like most beds outside of the US, and this was no exception. They were more firm than I would have preferred.
The TV had many channels, only two were in English BBC news and Bloomberg. We weren't there for TV so it didn't really make a big difference. We watched some Netflix on our tablet. The internet was more than sufficient to stream.
WE WILL BE BACK

The silent environment and the really good kitchen are are attractive features of the resort. The location is ideal to those who like to travel and see different cultures. It is situated in the so called Őrség region of western Hungary being rich in folk art. The resort is close to the Slovenian border, but Croatia and Austria are accesible in driving distance, too. Having a car is almost a must, the public transportation is very limited.

The apartments in the second floor are accessible only via sters, consequently the resort is not recommended for disabled people.

Good, but jumping in the pool for children is forbidden - not practical. Horseriding is highly advisable, service crew and waiters are friendly and helpful. Nice and cosy, really cute environment is the wild.

I would recommend it for a quiet vacation, but the annoying flies that pitch on the food in the restaurant are were very unhygienic. The restaurant staff need to know about killing of getting rid of the flies. Flies spread germs. The staff really need to have an English speaking staff and be amenable to international travellers. Only two staff members tried their best to assist us who speak English. The breakfast food was not supplied after 0930 hours. The evening meal were the same day after day. I didn't know that the resort was way far from supermarket, restaurants, and the city of Lenti. The taxi drivers were professional and helpful. The place was about 500 metres from the Slovenia border, how nice.

I was very disappointed about the food served by the restaurant. They advertised original food from the area, which consist of wild mushrooms and game. We have mushroom time here and was many porcini (vargánya) dishes on the menu. Beside the food was tasteless but none of the porcini dish had porcini!!! It had mushroom from last November (laska) suggesting that the food was prepared a year ago and kept it frozen ☹️. I recommend do not eat here👎🏻

This resort had a beautiful view, and every staff were so kind, so we enjoyed staying here. However, though this resort is for long term stay, when I asked a receptionist, she told us a washing machine is broken. And that was pretty inconvenient.

It is sittuated in a spot where you dont see many people around. Was ideal for me and wife to spend some quite times together. The Slovenian border is very close and we travelled by car and bouight some excellent wine from a private winery. Covenient for travel to Austria, crotia and slovenia. You need a car to travel around to enjoy the countryside and visit interesting and historic places. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is placed "in the middle of nowhere" in a rather "indiferrent environment" as other travellers have written. On foot, the nearest slovanian village is beautifull Kobilje (3kms) or hungarian Nemesnep (2-2.5kms), too small to name it nice.
By car or bike, we would recommend everything proposed in the review "active country-holiday in Hungary". For water lovers, do not miss the lakes in Lenti (paths around, playgrouns, fishing) and Czestreg (swimming, sports, playgrounds).
Car trips we enjoyed: 1. Maribor - Ptuj (Slovenia), 2. Ormoz - Varazdin -river Drava (Slo+Croatia), 3. Lendava - Pondturen (Slo+Cro).
For highways in Slovania you will need to buy a "Vinjeto" sticker;available at gas stations for 15euros min,7 days dur. In Croatia there are toll-stations where you pay, according to kms.
The Hotel resto is good. Tasty food but dry for us, as meditteranians. We missed sauces..
During two evenings in the week, there was live music at the outside resto which we enjoyed after a full travelling day. No night life for teens and young adults.
Hungarian peasants are somewhat shy but very friendly! Usually they don't speak foreign languages; yet they try to help you in any other way, even calling a german-speaking friend and passing you their mobile!! Slovenians and Croatians also nice people.
it was fun crossing borders 2-3-4 times a day! For Croatia only, you will need passports.
We stayed at Abbazia Club with RCI-timesharing system.

Hi, the best choise will be Lenti city or Rédics city. Both of them are really close to Nemesnép only few km far (approximatly 10-15 km). Maybe if you need help, you can call the recepteion (+3692/573 450) and they can help you. But if you have GPS is more better. Have a nice holiday! The Team of Abbazia Group
