The area is really nice, the beach is in the walking distance. The hotel has its own beach, use that rather than the public one. The beach towel from the hotel is 5€. That's all I can say about positive things. The room has a conditioner for 5€/day but at least in our room it was directed straight to the bed thus we couldn't keep it on during nights. However, although the conditioner was on all day in the room, as soon as we switched it off for night, the room became a hotspot and to get at least some sleep, we had to switch it back for 15 minutes during the night. I got terribly sweaty and swollen by mornings. In addition, we were eaten by mosquitos during nights. The beds are hard and pillows thin. There is no isolation between the walls, you hear your neighbours talking. The breafast is minimum, same stuff every morning. You have to ask the staff for each cup of coffee separately. The bread is not freshly baked but taken from packages. Choose this area for your vacation but not this hotel!…

Hotel Grotticelle is a good hotel. The restaurant serves real Italian food with a lot of variation. Every day our appartement was clean and we got new towels. The view was breathtaking. From the mountain we had a clear view over the ocean. The Grotticelle Beach is very nice!! The hotel has a great animation team. Gianluca and his team do a great job. Especially the little ones have a great time!! To the whole Grotticelle team: GRAZIE!!!

Pretty nice hotel with in price range. Rooms are very clean, but a little small. We had a viev on the pool area, and it was nice. You have to bring something for mosquitoes, becouse they are so harassing.Breakfast is tipical and good, but dinner was excellent, fresh and delicious. You need to pay for WiFi 2E per person for a day, but you get a prrety good WiFi in all area of the hotel.Road to the beach is steep and you need about 7-10 min. walk to get there. Also you have a shuttle bus for free from the hotel and beck. Beach is beautifull, combination of sand and rocks. Very clean and pleasant temperature of sea. Beach bars are also very good and not so expensive. As a guest of a grotticelle hotel you have an parasol and sunbathing chairs for free and 2x sunbeads and a parasol are about 20E in august.…

We have booked a 1 week holiday on hotel grotticelle in ricardi ,after checking in we where booked in pension Esmaralda near hotel grotticelle , the room has a greath platform with a vieuw over the see ,the room itself was a 3 bed room with AC . We want to get a another room but after a quik look at the hotel we find out that we have one of the bigger room and platform of the hotel , breakfirst is simpel and every day the same.dinner is very good and every day different italian food ,to go to the beach you have to decent a hill ,when your older or have troubels with your legs this is a serious climb ,there is a transport from the hotel to the beach for free ,the beach itself is very nice and good for snorkeling , the bed is hard and when there is a honnymoon couple near your room its noisy…

We booked this privately - appartments are garage style tile floors without style or character. We 'upgraded' to a hotel room which was better however very noisy with coaches arriving until late into the night. Impossible to sleep until midnight sound travel generiously btw hotel rooms. Left prematurely after 3 days staff unfriendly and unwilling to refund for outstanding night. Dont recommend this for families. Only plus was pool. Breakfast buffet okay but with coffee out of a vening machine

We were first meant to stay at their hotel but the rooms where dark, small and the madrasses where terribly hard and uncomfy. We looked at at least four different rooms but were not very pleased. The staff were very helpful though and finally we got access to one of their apartments with kitchen, balcony and bedroom. That was very good and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very clean hotel, beautiful pool and beach was one of the closest to hotel in area, great pool bar area. Shuttle or car required. We were disappointed with staff interaction with guests. Very few English speaking staff and guests, that could have been the reason. Great hotel for the value!
