This little, simple hotel is right on the beach where 1,000's of turtles come to lay their eggs between March and August, quite an amazing experience to watch this after dark, with turtle conservation volunteers taking you out and explaining everything.

The restaurant is pricey for what you get and it is not as good as that of Acajou (5 min. down the beach). The food was supposedly freshly homemade but seem like it was store bought vs homemade. Supposedly known for their pastas and sauces but can't say we particularly cared much for them. Good location right on beach though...

The hotel is literally on the beach, and a hive of activity for the leatherback turtle nesting season, which was the reason we were there. The hotel's reception area sets the tone for the establishment; lots of bare wood, aged furnishings, and local carvings. Our accommodation was upstairs in the older room block. The room was huge, with a king...

The room was nice, open and airy, right on the beach. The bathroom is only separated by saloon style doors so do keep this in mind...not sure if all rooms have this style though. We had a beautiful view, good dinner and great breakfast. We stayed here so that I could experience the leather back turtles laying eggs and I...

We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderfully relaxed and relaxing in a great location by the beach. Our room was large with a great balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel isn't luxurious and maybe a little bit shabby in some ways, though decorating was about to take place when we were there, and the quirky furniture and decorations...

Fabulous, simple hotel on the beach. Wonderful local food cooked for breakfast and dinner. Comfortable and clean, leave your shoes at home. Wonderful staff there to serve your needs. Cold beers, coconut bake, chatting with the owner, and bon fire on the beach for New Years. Just a great time! Thank you Mt Plaisir staff!!!

The hotel is pretty bare and the rooms are in dire need of an update, but if you don't mind roughing it up a bit, then you'll be fine. The restaurant wad decent. The beach view from the rooms were the best part. The beach isn't the greatest as the water is grey and really rough, but the view is...

First off I have to apologize for the delay in getting this review out but there has been a lot going on the past 6 months since our visit in May of 2016. Secondly, thank to the owner, Piero Geurrini and his staff, for making this a trip of a lifetime! We saw the leatherbacks as soon as we got...

Our holiday to Trinidad and Tobago was planned to experience different types of accommodation and settings. We spent a four day break at this fantastic eco-type resort after three days at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain, Trinidad and before a seven day stay at the Coco Reef Resort in Tobago. Pierro collected us from the Port of Spain...
