Had a large air conditioned room with a view of the pool and the waves crashing on to the beach beyond. The hotel has its own small private beach with lovely soft sand [one would have to watch small children because of the waves - they are not big for adults but little children may struggle]. The food was delicious... More

My wife and I (mid 50s) stayed in the Bacolet for 6 days late April 2016. The first room no. 16 had a faulty sliding door lock, therefore no security on the ground floor. No stopper in the sink, faulty electrical burnt out sockets. On the second morning after waiting over half an hour and a further hour of moving... More

Rowena at the front desk never smiled once, very bad attitude and customer service. Bearly wanted to reply or help out. Made the stay less enjoyable. Please review your customer service for that's the reason why we won't refer anyone. The 'resort' has a beautiful view, has its own beach but the sea is rough on that side of the... More

After reading mixed reviews on this site, I was concerned if I had made the right choice to stay at this property....but, we ended up having a great stay at a great property with great people. I found none of the negative reviews to be true. Granted, it was dry season when we visited, so the landscaping wasn't as lush... More

For my standards of hotel I would not call this a 4 star. But for the Caribbean standards it was very nice and I would recommend it. When we arrived we was not offered any help with our luggage. Other then that staff were very friendly. Room: Double room, clean, view of the sea, dvd and radio player, kettle, Fresh... More

Two weeks here was just right for exploring the island and relaxing. The apartment in the newer side of the hotel was well appointed and spacious. It was a pleasure to sit on the balcony overlooking the pool, with views over the beach and sea to Trinidad. As we stayed half board we availed ourselves of the dinner menu serving... More

The positives are: The location is good - With its own beach. Breakfast was lovely and the girls who serve up there are great. The cleaning staff are amazing - our room was always immaculate. The hotel is also nice and quiet and we often had the pool to ourselves. The not so good are : limited restaurants nearby or... More

Generally this hotel is shabby and 'unloved'. It is such a shame as it could be idyllic, with a lovely private beach which was never busy. Bear in mind though that the beach is only accessible by a large number of steps, so not ideal for everyone. The reception area is shabby so first impressions were not great. The room... More
