Travelers' Choice
Breathtaking is an understatement for this luxurious Tobagonian hideaway. This exclusive resort is built on a stunning 4.5-acre beachfront property, dotted with lush coconut and almond groves. Nestled into the beautifully secluded Bacolet Bay, the suites offer stunning panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and nearby Bacolet Bay. This delightful club is committed to providing guests with luxury and personal service. Its intimate size encourages a particularly warm and family-friendly atmosphere, which has been fostered by its owner’s years of travel experience strutting the international catwalks across Europe. The resort’s 50 ocean-front suites have been styled to reflect a cross-cultural aesthetic; Asian-inspired silk elements blend nicely with curlicued pieces and modernist fixtures in a chic manner. Throughout the rooms, the balance with nature is very evident. The airy interiors are filled with luxurious details, such as delicately beaded lamps and grand, silk-covered chaise.

Rooms was nice and clean and tidy Views and access to beach was very good Food was ok we had breakfast included and was similar every day we stayed for, Lunch and dinner was very nice. Two pools at the hotel the one pictured is the better of the pools, this one needs cleaning at the bottom there was sand and bit dirty in the corners, crab and hermit crab fell into the pool The other pool needs a refurbish as the bottom of the pool is very hard and sharp on your feet and the tiles and grout need re doing so we just stayed in the other pool. Enjoyed our stay here

The reason I would not go back is because of how they handled the following situation, At about 9pm I realized that I was not getting any water d when I called the front desk they said that they would look into it. I called back a few hours later as I still was not getting any water. She mentioned that I was the only one complaining about the issue so I asked if I could be moved to another room. She proceeded to tell me that it was the end of she shift.. I went downstairs to speak to someone and I saw that there was no one at the desk and it was dark. I immediately left and went to a different hotel.

SCAM,SCAM SCAM!!!! DO NOT BOOK BACOLET BEACH CLUB or HALF MOON HOTEL!!!! SCAM, SCAM SCAM!!!! First off sketchy, sketchy, sketchy. I didn't even arrive yet and I am getting scammed. I booked this hotel through Hotel.com. I chose the option to 'Pay When You Arrive.' So why is it that three hours later, I got charged $285.00. I was charged by a hotel called "Half Moon Hotel". I was furious. WTF!!!! I immediately called Hotels.com. I was then told that "Half Moon Hotel" is a sister company. This hotel is located directly across the street from each other. I was informed that the hotel policy is to charge the room instantly at booking. This fraudulent charge occurred to insured I will arrive. Also to assure that I will not cancel. This was all done without my permission. Then when I asked to cancel I was informed I must wait five business days for my refund . I was furious! Hotels.com said they are not responsible for this fraudulent charge. I never approved this charge at all!!!! WTF Bacolet Beach Club scammed me and I didn't arrive yet. I will inform everyone on our family trip to NOT book with Bacolet Beach Club or Half Moon Hotel!!! This is a horrible representation for the hotel industry in Tobago.

Booked Half Blue Moon hotel opposite but was told the room I booked was being renovated, allocated nice room in Bacolet Beach Club but had to move after 2 days due to failed water supply, had one evening without internet, hotel needs tidying up, rubbish not disposed of (paint tins/rubble) poolside needs weeding, staff standard variable, some staff appeared disinterested, others worked their socks off and couldn’t help enough and were lovely! Describes itself a beach club but beach was unusable due to masses of seaweed, and beach bar was closed. Staff and Facilities were limited but pools were nice and kept clean and food in restaurant was good.

My husband and I stayed for two weeks at the end of February at this gem of a hotel owned by Gloria and Reinhold. All members of staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and looked after us very well. Ricky was great driving us to and from the many places we visited on the island. Nick and I were surprised how careful the island was in protecting it's residents and tourist from Covid 19, precautions were taken in all restaurants, shops, the beach and places of interest even the outdoor market, we thought that if these precautions had been more widely known it would have possibly increased the number of tourists visiting the beautiful island. We joined the owners and staff on a Friday evening for their popular beach bbq held on the hotels private beach. The food was good plenty of choice, the ladies who cleaned the bedrooms were very thorough and provided us with fresh towels daily.

What a hidden treasure! I stayed there for 2 weeks . This is a gem of a place . The room was spacious and comfortable with an excellent view of the ocean . The food was consistently great with good variety, high quality and delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful . I’ve stayed in other higher priced hotels in Tobago, but this was definitely the best value and I would certainly recommend it .

We stayed at Bacolet Beach Club for the first time for a few days. We stayed in one of the tower suites, facing the sea. Positives- the views were absolutely amazing! It was the highlight of our stay. As a family, we could relax on the balcony and enjoy the sea breeze and watch the surroundings peacefully. The suite was also generally comfortable. In addition, the food at the restaurant was generally tasty and staff generally helpful and polite. Negatives-similar to previous reviews, the overall hotel and grounds are in need of maintenance and refurbishment. This detracted from the overall impression of the property. I’m not sure if this is a consequence of covid? The water pressure in the bathrooms in our rooms wasn’t great the first couple of days but improved towards the end of our stay. In addition, the housekeeping of the rooms was poor. We complained a couple times, particularly on one day when it was obvious they hadn’t cleaned properly. As the property is in hilly surroundings, there are lots of steps to the rooms and down to the beach. As there are no lifts, it’s therefore not wheelchair accessible or suitable for guests who may have mobility issues. Overall, while the views and food were great, I left disappointed with the stay. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone until the necessary maintenance works were completed to the property and there was improvement to housekeeping.

This hotel is in desperate need of upkeep and maintainence....it looks very rundown. They keep changing the cost of the food packages, they charged us $240 for airport transfer even though it was never communicated there would be a cost attached. Only when paying they added it to our bill after arrival at the hotel. I really would not recommend staying at this hotel. I was really hoping for a relaxed all inclusive holiday, definetly didnt get that here.

The hotel is in a lovely area, with a beautiful private beach and lush grounds with many mature tropical trees. The rooms are spacious and bright, air conditioned and ours had a large balcony with comfortable chairs. The bathroom was tired and ‘open plan’ into the room, this was not to our taste. Toiletries were very limited so make sure you take your own. Housekeeping was a bit iffy and I think if they could get away with not servicing your room the staff would do so, I had to ask for the sheets to be changed after day 5 and even then there was a hole in the top sheet. The extensive hotel grounds are generally attractive but areas on the west side which guests use on a regular basis are not maintained, there were piles of rubbish and discarded building materials, containers with dead plants and numerous weeds, broken lights and exposed cables. We never saw any staff members in these areas and this view was supported by the discarded drink and food containers and a towel that never moved the 10 days we were there. Almost any hotel we have been to before had staff who tidied loungers and sunshades at the end of the day, don’t expect it here. Café Havana was nothing like we expected from the photos in the brochure or what can be found online. The floor has been painted black the chairs have seen better days, fans were dusty and dirty. The toilets whilst clean, doors were grubby and handles sticky. The food was freshly cooked and I cannot fault the quality, but expect a lot of items not be available and a very restricted ‘all inclusive’ menu, for example spirits are limited and you pay extra for bottled water. The hotel includes a beach bar which was open once during the day when we were there, other than that expect an 80+ step journey back to Café Havana for a drink or food, no one will come and take your order from the beach. On a Friday night the hotel lays on a beach bbq for guests and non residents. The atmosphere was great, food was varied and tasty and even the bar was open, it is a shame as this gave us a taste of how good it could have been. The Hotel staff are friendly but need to be managed to ensure customers have the experience they are paying for. I realise Covid has impacted the hospitality industry but feel there is no excuse for some of the problems we have described. On returning home we complained to our travel agent who took it up with the hotel management who either denied our complaints (photos do not lie) or suggested we should have made them aware of issues whilst we were there, but, I was not there to do their job for them and most of the issues require ongoing maintenance and are not fixable in a few days. I suggest they stop posting misleading photos on social media and take on board some of the issues we raised. Despite a beautiful location, amazing beach and good food we feel that we overpaid for what we got and would not go back.

We had a lovely stay at Bacolet beach club. The hotel is run by ms Gloria and mr Reinhold. The couple and the staff were friendly and accomodated all we could ask for! They even took us on a tour to the rainforest and prepared a tasty lunch set up at the entrance of the rainforest. I loves staying at the hotel and I absolutely love Tobago. I have been to other Islands in the carribbean but Tobago is like an untouched treasure. The people are friendly and the surronding nature is stunning! I hope to return some day. Greetings from Natalia & Sina from Sweden.
