Botaira Resort is an excellent choice. The things that really stood out for us here were not only were the staff fun, friendly and kind which is what you would want on holiday. But you can tell they think about the little things to make your stay enjoyable. They are a great resort if you want relaxed holiday, in comfortable bures,... More

We spent a week here in June and it was fab, best part of our 3 month trip! The staff are amazing you are treated like royalty. We didn't want to leave. This is the place to stay in Fiji and there is loads to do i.e snorkelling, kayaking, fishing, village trip etc. We hope to get back some day.... More

Have just come back from our 10th visit to beautiful Botaira. The resorts slogan " The Luxury of Simplicity" describes the Botaira experience perfectly. With the ever increasing number of resorts offering a very western style of "Fijian" experience, Botaira makes you realize that sometimes the simpler things in life are just as good. Comfortable spacious bures may be basic... More

We stayed at a beachfront bure for 3 nights at Botaira in May 2011. Botaira was the second part of our holiday after spending 4 nights at Octopus resort. Our bures were actually a lot better quality then I had anticipated. We thought the Botaira bure is better than most of the Octopus Resorts bures that we stayed at, including... More

We wanted to snorkel - and snorkel we did! The stunning Coral Gardens, Giant Clams and abundant Fish in front of the Resort were 5*. The water was warm with great visibility (pre-clean the interior of your eyemask with toothpaste - will help stop it fogging up underwater. "Thanks R!") Botaira's location can't be knocked, the Bures are comfortable, the... More

Just returned from 10 days in Fiji. Wanted to visit the Yesawas but didn't want to do a backpacker scary place or a large resort. This place was perfect. Small resort with incredibly friendly staff. If you are looking for Hyatt/Marriott/Ritz type of resort this place is not for you. Burre was very clean and well maintained. Grounds were nice,... More

We went to Fiji with the main purpose of snorkelling and, after much research, we found Botaira. What also appealed were the travellers’ comments about Botaira being the ‘real Fiji’. We had such a good time last October that we’re heading there again in three weeks. I can’t wait. Here’s what you can expect. Friendly people, who will get to... More

We travelled around Yasawa islands for 2 weeks and visited quite a few resorts (in order Bounty island, Octopus, Botaira, Korovu, Nanuya, Blue lagoon) and Botaira was by far our worst decision! Firstly, the good things - the beach is really beautiful and they have a concrete path to the sea at low tide. The bures looked nice, but were... More

The location of Botaira is stunning. The beach is fantastic, as is the reef. And the walk to the village is great. Unfortunately some other things are not so good. The hygiene in Botaira is clearly not good enough. Cock roaches in the bathrooms are common, glasses, cutlery, etc. are badly stained and the kitchen is abdominal. After Botaira we... More
