This review is regarding the Lielupe Manor SPA service. Me and my partner did a reservation in advance for a one day couples SPA. First there were technical difficulties regarding the online reservation system. So we reserved our date and time via phone and did a confirmation sms, just to be sure. The hostess on the phone ensured that the SPA will be available, but to our disappointment upon arrival the Manor and the SPA was closed! Given that we confirmed our reservation just 2 days ago, we felt that we would be entitled to a warning of this sudden change of availability. So we did the trip for nothing and the Manor did not offer us any other formal apology as sign of good will. P. S. If this reaches the manor team, please improve your e-mail ethics. Your formal responses were very rude and impolite. …
The hotel is a manor from the 18 century cured in every details. I am not able to explain how beautiful is this place in words and hope some pics could help out other people to find a wonderful and peaceful place like this one. My girlfriend and I were supposed to spend one night and go to other city as planned and booked but we decided to stay 2 more nights in Liepupe Manor. Great hospitality, beautiful surrounding nature ( there are also peacock and baby deers) and amazing food! The food is very high in quality and served in a very nice way. Good choice of Italians and French wines. For what they offer the price is very good! Already booked flight and hotel for September...
We booked one night to stay here, we only heard good things and were really looking forward to staying here. When we arrived we only got to know were our room was, No information about were we could go, what to see when the house was from nothing. I asked about dinner, then was told it was smart to eat before 19 since there should be a party. We didn't know there was gonna be a party and then almost evrything was unavailable. No spa, because it had to be booked in advance which is fine but no info on this. I was really looking forward to a night in a place that was beautiful and quiet. The place itself is nice, but think they should keep the season closed for guests in the winter.
Sweet Jesus mother of God. Freaking amazing! Not far from Riga - YOU NEED TO COME! We’ve been to sooooo many places around the world - Liepupes muiža offers a world class service. 1. The rooms are so beautiful, romantic, clean, spacious, interior is amazing. (They even provide toothbrushes). I mean, wow. 2. SPA. Ok. I don’t even know how to describe this. Forget about all the “Jūrmala spa” bools*it, this is the real deal. There is no conveyor feeling here. You’re all alone in the whole complex, don’t need to share the tub or sauna with anyone else but your partners. The massage was out of this world. I actually felt I was going into trance state. That’s how good it was. The best SPA treatment we’ve ever had in our lifes. 3. Breakfast was just.... well. I loved the breakfast here much more than I did at Hilton or Westin. We have finally found our place to come over and over again Šī ir fantastiskākā vieta.
I will review only the restaurant, which we visited, because it was included in Top 8 restaurants out of Riga. The experience was very bad. The quality of food very low, no taste, no presentation, absurdly high prices. For entry we shared Italian antipasto plate. Half of it - three very ordinary cheeses, the rest - few stuffed over=hot small peppers, (still with seeds inside!!!) and artichokes (straight from cheap jar). 12 euro. Mains - my - beef cheeks, worst I had in my life, more than half of it fat, terrible sauce, my wife had scallops - 4 over-salted, most likely defrosted, pieces. Each dish - 20 !!! euro. Looks like they are used to serve parties, where nobody looks into quality or bill. Do not go there. Oh, the service. So unprofessional! They brought main dishes long before we went through entree, And even then it was tepid. Total disaster of restaurant. Luckily, the weather and the road were pleasant, so the petrol was not used in vain…
Very glad to be there!!! Very easy to find. Not far away from Riga - about 70km. Amazing interior of room! We took Junior suite. Prices till May 1st are more friendly, because of cold season. There is not far away seaside. Its possible to go by bike. Very good restaurant and breakfast(what is included in price). Friendly staff. Wonderful atmosphere!!
First of all, the ground of the manor house hotel are wonderful and well kept. We stayed here for a wedding, and for three nights had the pleasure to try out three different rooms. The first room we stayed in was the Junior suite, which was just fantastic! It is very spacious, the toiletries given were superior class, there were slippers and robes, and the bedding was very comfortable. The following night we stayed in a standard class room, which was also very nice and comfortable, and on the third night we had the pleasure of staying in one of the huge suites in the new wing of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the small vineyard. Again, the suite was comfortable, well furnished, and luxurious. We also had several meals at the manor, and found them to be of good quality and satisfying. My only complaint would be about the breakfast. For such luxurious accommodations and the price, I was expecting a little bit more from the breakfast. Maybe a glass of champagne, some smoked salmon, etc.…
We have stayed in Liepupe for couple of times. I think that is one of the rare places in Latvia that has been restored with humble dignity to its glorious past but still making it very comfortable for the guests. The rooms are very detailed and it literally gives you the feeling of time travel. This is surely the place where respect was paid to original details and carefully selected replacements in the interior have been integrated. The staff has been very helpful and nice at all times. We have specifically enjoyed some wines in the wine cellar (the wine list is quite good too, by the way) and then continued with dinner in the restaurant upstairs. The place is conveniently located from Riga (takes less than an hour to get there) and during weekdays it is not very crowded (for couple of times we have been the only guests). The breakfast is very rich and for sure take the chance to have it around the big kitchen table in the manor's kitchen (stylised, not the real one).…
We had our wedding in this georges place. We had around 60 guests and it was ideal size wedding for this place. The service was superb, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. All our guests and ourselves felt comfortable and well looked after. We are totally in love with this place and would recommend it for both delicious meal or romantic countryside stay.
A perfect getaway whether you are looking for a romantic weekend, spending some family & friends time or even off to a casual business workshop. Spacious rooms, really good aura and relaxing atmosphere.
