The safe landing staff are amazing. Biz made activities fun, Night activities especially he had everyone laughing and having a good time. the chefs do a great job, the serenaders make meal times so lovely with the spectacular view out over the ocean. The rooms are okay, fairly average but you can see they are putting a lot of work... More

From the 3 places I went to I liked this least. I made a trip to cave which was really nice and we tried to open coconuts ourselves (pretty hard actually^^), but all in all I didn't like the atmosphere so much. It seemed to me that the people were not happy and didn't come along well with each other.

Well, we had two coconuts at the time we went there and weren't quite satisfied with the room we got. But, luckely for us we made some friends at Nabua Lodge and slept in their cabins. (They had one cocunut and had some great cabins!) But once again, the staff here is really great. The hammocks were a great place... More

It takes about four hours cruise (stops at most resorts on the way) from Nadi. Incredible hospitality. Feels like home away from home. Very well taken care of by the host. Lots of activities including expedition to Sawelau Cave, fish feeding, trekking, kayaking or just lazy about. The real taste of Friendly Fiji. Will do it again in a near... More

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and this kept going until the day we left, we both felt so welcomed by the family who work on the island. We had so much fun in the evenings. Just want to say a big thank you guys! Food was delicious! Beach is beautiful, bedrooms are standard but right on the... More

Stayed for two night it felt a little run down. The beach is lovely to chill out on but not much to swim in. The dining area is not very nice and poor selection at the bar for drinks. The staff were lovely just the facilitates were not good. The trip to the caves was amazing and one of the... More

Safe Landing is a much smaller resort than we had imagined with very few people staying at one time - around 10 or so during our stay. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, hot water is advertised but not necessarily available. There are some new bures being built which may be better equipped. The communal area is large with a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Safe Landing is a very small resort, located near the top of the beautiful Yasawa Islands. It takes about four hours from Denarau Marina to reach the resort on the Yasawa Flyer catamaran that services most of the resorts in Fiji's Western outer islands -- but it's more than worth the relaxing trip. From the moment you step off the small water taxi that ferries you to the island, you are greeted by some of the friendliest, genuine people you'll ever meet. The resort has a large dorm, about 8-10 private beachfront bures with ensuite bathrooms (and hot water), as well as some basic Fijian bures which use the communal bathroom facilities. The shared toilets don't have great water pressure, so don't be alarmed if you have trouble flushing them! The shared showers are cold water only, but considering how warm Fiji is, it's not really a problem. The rooms are all cleaned daily, and even have a turn down service! Safe Landing is all about relaxing in paradise, so while facilities are basic, it's more than likely you won't even notice. Hammocks line the beachfront, sea kayaks are free, and there is a volleyball court for the active minded. Meals are pre-paid before you go to the island, and are served in the beachside, sand-floor dining room -- and are filling and delicious! There is also a bar, which you can order drinks from any time of the day. There are several tours available, including a snorkelling trip to the nearby Blue Lagoon, a cave diving trip and a visit to the local village to meet the Chief. There's not a lot to do at night, so it's not a party island by any means, but if you are after a taste of total paradise on a budget, Safe Landing is absolutely ideal. Highly recommended. ... more   less
