A new stylish resort located on one of the best beaches in the Yasawas. Right in the middle of the blue lagoon region, the resort is located on a white sandy beach with all tide swimming. Dive shop, snorkeling and many activities. Open planned restaurant and bar with espresso bar and live music nightly.

Blue Lagoon Beach Resort comes highly recommended for its ample amenities and vibrant atmosphere, as guests enjoy the evening festivities and live music that add to the romantic ambiance. The rooms, especially the new family suites, are lauded for their cleanliness and comfort, complete with air conditioning and luxury Pure Fiji products.
While many travelers believe the resort provides good value, particularly with its excellent snorkeling and relaxing spa services, some feel the food and beverage prices are steep. However, the staff's friendly and attentive service seems to make up for any concerns, contributing to an overall positive experience.

Detailed Reviews
Our villa had someone arrive by seaplane at 8:30 am on our departure date (this info was posted on the chalkboard outside of the office). Despite my confirming with the office that we needed to check out by 10:30 am, we had housekeeping dropping off linens at 9 am and forcing us out at 10 am. Our villa was over $300 (USD) per night and I'd intended to shower/freshen up just before checking out and this was not possible. Overall, we had a great stay - nice people and good food - but being pushed out of our high-priced beachfront villa 30 minutes early was totally unacceptable.

Stunning scenery, lovely beach and a nice pool area with ample space. We spent a few nights here on our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot to unwind with a book in hand.
I'd recommend no more than 5 nights here, you'll get a taste of everything they offer in that time. If you're in Fiji for longer try out some of the other islands.
If you can stomach the thought of swimming through an underwater tunnel between caves, the cave trip is spectacular and was a highlight for me. My wife is a touch claustrophobic so she stayed at the resort and enjoyed a massage while I was out spelunking.
The food was pretty good for us as vegetarians but a couple of improvements could be made. While the dinner menu seems to be on a rotation (the lasagne was great and so were the vegetable pastries offered other nights during our stay) but the lunch menu was fixed the entire time we were there which meant we got pretty sick of spring rolls, though they were very tasty. A vege burger would be a welcome addition to the menu and easy for the kitchen staff to pull off, given the array of burgers already on the menu.
The absolute culinary highlight was buffet night as there were plenty of awesome vegetarian dishes available for this. Curry night was also a highlight of our food experience here.
Breakfast here in my opinion was spot on, plenty on offer for hot food and lovely pastries every day for the continental side of things. The filter coffee at BLBR was the best we had during our time in Fiji. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the eggs benedict, which stood up to some I've tried here in Wellington.
Our room was by most counts fantastic, but it was bloody hot! We were treated to air con at mainland hotels and were surprised not to have it at BLBR but I'm unsure of their energy requirements in such a remote location and understand that this may play into the choice not to offer air con in the villas. My hot tip (pardon the pun) to beat the heat would be to use only one sheet and to shove that sheet in the refrigerator all day until right before bed time during your stay here.
We're definitely keen to return to the Yasawa Islands and would absolutely consider another stay at BLBR.

Very paradise-feel like experience. Would recommend it and definitely come again. Compared to other resorts further south, this is great value for money for a relaxing holiday.
Great garden villa with private outdoor bathroom and lounge chair outside. Quiet setting.
Restaurant and (a-la-carte) food were equally great and a clean, big pool. The beach is just a few steps away, beach chairs are provided (although not always enough if it's a bit busier). There are ample free (snorkel gear, kayaks, SUPs, etc.) and some paying activities (night snorkel, diving, village tours) to keep one occupied if the weather is nice (which it was in our case).
There's also a free 3 km hiking trail leading up a hill with a magnificent view over the surrounding islands and ocean.

The front office is absolutely horrible. Scam. At check out, I paid for room/meal charges of around $600 USD using a credit card. The payment went through, but the staff later told me the issuer is not accepted and I had to pay again using Visa. I did, and expected a refund. It has been over A MONTH, I've called and emailed multiple times. Their response was always we will walk to the bank.
Where is my refund? It's been over a month!

i went for a 4 nights vacation with friend. the place felt like a dream. the most beautiful location, and the hotel staffs welcomes and says goodbye with songs with guitars and local songs when you arrive from the boat. there is a dive shop and all kind of water activities that a lot of them are free of charge. you don't have to carry around money, as all is written on your name and calculated on the last day. prices are fair. there are private accommodation options, on the beach and a little further. the dorms have 8 beds in them and in excellent condition with air conditioning. every night there is a different fun activity, the beach is amazing and great massages.
the food is the most perfect thing on the resort. changes, different tastes and really really good. the staff is amazing and super nice. every night there is a fun cava ceremony and singing with great singers.

Everything about blue lagoon resort is perfect. The lagoon, the rooms, the beautiful staff. The main beach area, the water and the snorkelling were incredible. The snorkelling might be the best I have ever had and I snorkel a lot. The water is crystal, crystal clear and the reef edge starts close to shore for the nervous and goes along and out further than I ever got. So many fish and interesting reef creatures and beautiful coral. There is a helpful line with buoys to indicate to boats and such where the reef is that made me very confident to venture much further out than I might normally with confidence as I could always swim to the rope and buoys - I never did though because even in the deep water the lagoon is like a swimming pool with no waves or currents to contend with.
We stayed in a garden room not far from the main pool. Excellent open to air shower in the bathroom, fridge and great fan in the bedroom, and gorgeous and comfortable day bed on the balcony.
However the main delight of Fiji is always the beautiful Fijian people. We formed a lovely friendship with Usa - the food and beverage manager. He went out of his way to make us feel at home, giving us lovely insights into Fijian culture and family while also providing impeccable service and taking personal care to make sure we were happy! All the servers, cleaners, chefs, tour guides were delightful, kind and excellent at their jobs ....this is truly a 5 star experience.
My husband as a chef himself couldn’t help himself but to go back and thank the chefs in the kitchen personally as the food was truly exquisite (did I mention many included meals offer a menu to select what takes your fancy and everything we tried was truly amazing).
Big love to Usa and all the blue lagoon resort staff .... blue lagoon is paradise on earth - but it is the staff that make it feel like home.

If you want a relaxing tropical holiday, then Blue Lagoon Resort is the perfect spot, and we cannot wait until we are back there again in 2023.
We spent our days snorkelling on the reef, checking out the beautiful coral and fish, that is right on your doorstep, or relaxing by the pool or on the beach, then settled down to watch the nightly amazing tropical sunset while enjoying a Happy Hour cocktail from the bar before dinner.
We had a great diving experience, and my 14 year old son and I did our Padi Open Water course during our stay, and the entire experience was excellent, thanks to Hannah, who was simply the perfect instructor.
Our 10 year old daughter then did her discover scuba with Hannah, and went from a ‘not so interested scuba’, to cannot wait until next year so she can do her Padi, again thanks to Hannah.
The diving was brilliant, with most dives sites within 15mins by "tanked" the dive boat, I especially loved the Maze.
The equipment was in great condition, and the Dive Shop Team of Hannah of course, but also Manny, Jonny and Fraser, along with all the other Dive Shop staff were exceptional, always asking how the day was going, helpful and loved to chat about the rugby.
The food was great, and easily accommodated our fussy kids, and even though we were there for 11 days, there was sufficient variety on the menu for us all.
The Bar and Restaurant staff, especially Usa, Bill, Mojee, Debbi, Ratu and Tima, always brightened the day, and as said the food was great, and Mojee’s lattes even satisfied our fussy Melbournian tastes.
We stayed in the Palms Villa, which was actually too big for the 4 of us in reality, as the main room was so spacious, but we also checked out some of the other accommodation available, and they all looked excellent.
We found that you spend little waking time in your room, as you are either swimming, snorkelling, diving, or relaxing by the pool or on the beach.
A great recommendation for Blue Lagoon is the fact that nearly every person we met there, had stayed at Blue Lagoon at least once before, if not more.
Blue Lagoon is a fabulous resort, especially for families, with great facilities, especially the diving, and amazing staff that really go the extra mile to make your stay perfect.

This resort has one of the best beaches and snorkeling I have ever encountered. This is one of the reasons why we chose this resort. The cave tour was also amazing!
However, the staff and hotel itself were not so spectacular. The rooms were standard, loved the outdoor shower. The bed was mediocre, nothing special. The food plan was the only option, as there are no other restaurants on the island. The breakfast was the exact same daily, which was fine. Few options to choose from, as it was the same for lunch. The dinners were the best part of the meal plan, as the food was the best during dinner. The service was just okay, as it was not consistent. . The staff changed while we were there, some seemed happy and others seemed completely miserable. The bar is also not very spectacular, as the drinks were not good. But, the worst part is when we were checking out. We were asked several times when we were leaving, over the course of 2 days. When the day came for us to finally leave, the staff made sure to advise us (after multiple conversations) that the check-out time was between 9am-10:30am. We were well aware of when we needed to check out. After we ate breakfast on the final day (around 8:30am) the staff were sitting on our deck waiting for us to check out. They stated that checkout was between 9am-10:30am. I said, "yes, we are very well aware of the checkout time and we will be out by 10:30). The staff starred at us and it was very uncomfortable. They stayed on our patio until we felt like we were forced to leave at 10am. There isn't anything to do once you check out, as the Yasawa Flyer comes once a day at 1:15pm to pick you up. The staff were extremely unfriendly at checkout and made us feel very uncomfortable. We also spent about $800 US Dollars at the bar during our stay. I just felt forced out with nowhere to go. This is def something that the resort needs to recognize and note that it is not customer service friendly to practically force the guests out of the rooms before 10:30am. I would also recommend that the resort include lunch on departure, as the meal plan is not cheap. It should be included on departure.

Thank you to Matt and his wonderful team for ensuring we had a fantastic stay at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort! You guys really know how to look after your guests.
I spent two weeks in a lodge room and two nights in a beach front bure.
The lodge room was clean, great value for money and the ceiling fan was more then enough to keep us cool. The shared bathroom facilities were very clean and maintained every single day. The house keeping staff were fantastic.
The Bure was spectacular. It had beautiful facilities and the beach front access to the lagoon was convenient and so picturesque. We felt incredibly lucky to stay in the Beach Front Bure and would absolutely consider doing this again.
The lagoon itself is the best swimming spot I’ve seen in fiji (I’ve traveled around Viti Levu over 10 times and seen many beautiful parts)
The food was on point! The deliciously prepared and creatively presented meals were fresh and enjoyable. The team in the kitchen work really hard and take pride in their work as do the beautiful bar and wait staff who ensure you have everything you need.
If you’re looking for a relaxed “island vibe” holiday then Blue Lagoon is for you. The staff at this resort compliment its location with their welcoming and relaxed manner. Morale is so high between staff that it really does shine through and guests can feel that buzz.
Our experience was 10/10

We stayed in a beach villa for 13 nights for the first 2 weeks of Sept and had an awesome time. The room and facilities were well kept throughout the stay (we loved chatting to Louisa and her crew) - especially when a grass fire ripped through the hills behind the resort. The reef for snorkelling just straight off the beach is absolutely spectacular with huge variety of fish and coral. We also did trips to the village and multiple snorkel trips to other parts of the surrounding reef which was also amazing! Big Shout Out to the team - especially Tima and Mike (musician, fire warden! and all around total nice guy.) Everyone is so welcoming and helpful which is why Fiji is the place we keep returning too. We will definitely be coming back. I loved interacting with the staff while I did some Plein Air oil painting!

As far as I know, your meal plan fees will be added into your overall booking fees and you will have to pay 10 % deposit upon your booking confirmation and the remaining balance in one lump sum 40 days before you check into the resort. As for your drinks at the resort, they will be charged to your room and you have to settle your bill upon checking out. You can settle your bill with cash or credit cards, however, the transaction is in Fijian dollars or New Zealand dollars, not U.S dollars.
cooked items are available and the breakfasts are very nice
Personally, I would holiday closer to the mainland with such a young child. Its a 4.5 hr one way trip on the boat to get there. We have stayed at BLBR twice, and both times there were not many children at all. More of an adults resort.
yes, they have a laundry service.
