Me & my boyfriend stayes in STORY for 5 nights and had a really lovely time. The staff couldnt do more for us! Room was always nice & clean. Really enjoyed their breakfasts and great choice of restaurants for dinner! Snorchling on the beach near STORY is the best I have experienced. Would happily come back!

What an absolute pleasure it has been to end our honeymoon at STORY! The hotel did exceed our expectations and deserves our highest praise! A proper luxury hotel with a beautiful sense of detail and personality. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious. We were upgraded upon arrival to a really nice suite. Beds are super comfortable! Pool area is divine, it is a beautiful setting right by the beach with a lot of plants and palms. Pool serving could be a tad more frequent, but after spending a few days by the pool we were immediately approached and asked if we wanted to order something. An extra thank you to Dams, who put the cherry on top in terms of service! He was just so attentive and very nice :) The food at the various restaurants is really really good. My favorite was Eden and Seyshima- the last one making the best tuna teppanyaki I’ve ever tasted! It’s just a really beautiful and nice hotel, with everything you want available. Breakfast is excellent. It has everything you could ever want. The hotel gave us a complementary late check out (until 7pm!) because we had a really late flight. Top of the line guest service right there! Sesel spa is also worth mentioning. I had a wonderful facial as well as a couples massage and it was divine!! I don’t recall the name of the girl who gave me a facial, but she also helped me with an allergy crème for jellyfish-stings on my hands for several days and I really want to thank you for your fantastic kindness and exceptional service!

We spent 1 week in this amazing place. The hotel is very well located, in a wonderful beach. The restaurants are very good and the hotel very nice. But the best is the people!! We were spending our 25th wedding anniversary and the hospitality and the treatment received was amazing. THANKS to all team at STORY hotel for all the unforgettable moments we spent during the whole week. And special THANKS to KAVI (Food and beverages manager), to NEIGE (Guest Services) and all the people at the reception. We will never forget that week!!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We upgraded our room to a beach front villa which was beautiful. If it weren’t for the room itself, we would have given this less of a rating. The food and service was actually terrible. Multiple instances of waiting 20-30 minutes to even get a drink. Multiple instances of having to ask repeatedly for a cup of coffee / or for something before it was given some time later. We have stayed at numerous places for half the cost with much better service and food. We have never written a bad review but for this stay I could not keep quiet. Definitely not worth the money and not a 5 star hotel.

We had an amazing experience at Story Seychelles. The hotel grounds, food, staff and amenities are top notch. All the staff were friendly and accommodating - Priscilla was very kind and friendly with the kids. Also the swimming instructor and day care attendant were very professional. I highly recommend this resort!

We have enjoyed a wonderful weeks stay at the beautiful Story hotel. This was the first week of our honeymoon and we have had a really relaxing visit. The hotel itself is stunning, from the grounds, the rooms and the pool - one of the best pools I have ever had the pleasure to swim in! The mountainous backdrop to the hotel is just perfect - what a view. I swam in the pool each morning before breakfast which was a great way to start the day. We were often the first at the pool at 9am and there were plenty of sun beds available. We stayed in room 27 which was a very good size and had a lovely garden and day bed. On arrival we had a honeymoon cake and bottle of Prosecco on ice which was a nice touch. The bath was lovely as well. We made use of the mini fridge in the room and bought drinks from the supermarket nearby which was much, much cheaper than those in the hotel. The food in the hotel was very good, and the buffet in the evenings did not disappoint. There was a very large selection each evening and a different theme. The beach itself is absolutely perfect! We took a 30 minute beach walk each day to a lovely little ice cream parlour at the end of the row of shops/market. £2 for an ice cream rather than the high prices in the hotel! I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff either, they were all so welcoming and all said hello every time they walked past which was nice. My reasons for giving the hotel 4* rather than 5*… The prices in the hotel were outrageous and we didn’t feel we could spend £15 on a beer or £10 on milkshakes which was a shame. This really took the edge off the stay for us as we felt we couldn’t enjoy the food and drink around the pool as much as we would have like to. Despite the lovely bath, the toilet and shower were not to our liking, the frosted glass on the toilet seems out of date and it lacked privacy. The service in Vascos was very hit and miss, especially at breakfast. We were not given a breakfast menu until the day we left (we didn’t even know there was one so make sure you ask!) and so had to work out what options were available from seeing what other guests were being given. We had to ask several times for tea/eggs and the staff didn’t seem to be able to keep track of orders. Often we were waiting 20 minutes to receive our tea in the morning. When the food did arrive, it was always very good. Overall, we had a very nice stay and enjoyed the pool area and beach very much. It was a lovely start to our honeymoon in the Seychelles!

We have just enjoyed a weeks stay at Story as part of our honeymoon holiday in the Seychelles. A beautiful hotel set in picturesque manicured grounds directly in front of Beau Vallon beach. We were looking for a weeks relaxation and Story definitely ticked this box. The pool area in particular was a real highlight. A stunning swimming pool with a gorgeous mountain backdrop, we spent a good proportion of every day here enjoying the great weather and the blissful tunes. Our room was also excellent. Spacious and well furnished with an impressive standalone bath. We particularly enjoyed our private terrace with the over-sized day bed. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming at all times, especially those in reception and around the pool. Our dinner at Traders Vic’s was also a highlight and our favourite of all of the on-site restaurants we dined at as part of our half board package. This hotel would have got 5 stars were it not for a couple of major issues. Firstly breakfast. We loved Vascos beachfront setting and the food (when it arrived!) was generally good quality. However the service was at best disorganised with an apparently very confused waiting team. In more cases than not you had to repeat your order for hot food to more than one waiter before it arrived whilst even something as simple as a pot of tea would take more than 20 mins to appear. The team at Vascos were always friendly but the chaotic service levels did not befit the standard of hotel. Secondly the cost of food and drink in the hotel bars and restaurants bordered on the outrageous. Massively over priced for what were often fairly average offerings. The cost of a pint of local beer at 18 Euros was exorbitant when you could buy a bottle of the same beer in the supermarket for 2 Euros. This sadly meant that any additional food and drink at the hotel was an occasional treat rather than something we could enjoy reasonably often as part of our stay. In summary, a very enjoyable and relaxing week at a beautiful hotel but a couple of improvements required to bring it up to a full 5 star experience.

We stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary and had an extremely enjoyable time. The backdrop of the beautiful mountains and the wonderful white sand beach were the stars of the show. Our room was lovely as well with a large porch overlooking the pool and beach. The open air restaurants were great in terms of atmosphere - the food although was a bit middling - but the surroundings were just perfect. We were treated very well by all the staff who were extremely friendly and accommodating. Had gorgeous anniversary dinner out on the beach at sunset which was just beautiful. We also were given late checkout which was a huge plus and much appreciated. We were overall very satisfied with our stay and would probably stay here again. I only removed one star as the food at the pool restaurant Ripples could use a facelift and some improvements- for the price the food should be better, but the location and staff were super. Additionally, as an additional point for improvement- there were lots of children in the main pool which is of course fine except there is a children’s pool also- which none of these kids seemed to use…and many of these kids who were very young (2-6 years) were out of control and jumping all over the sunbeds, into the pool, and splashing the adults who were reading books and otherwise trying to enjoy themselves. A bit chaotic when others are tying to have a relaxing time. They were also jumping off the planters into the pool and putting themselves and others in potentially dangerous situations with little to no supervision (from parents or any discernible lifeguard). I hope in the future there is some mandatory supervision of kids and enforcement of basic rules and safety out of consideration for everyone else who would like to enjoy the facilities. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were lovely, but for a couple things that could be improved upon. We will look forward to another visit to this beautiful location.

The hotel was fantastic - very grand entrance and main hall, the backdrop of the swimming pool is breathtaking and rooms were tastefully decorated, with a sizeable balcony and a stand-alone bathtub. On arrival, our room was decorated with Happy Honeymoon with a complimentary bottle of brut and a chocolate cake which was a lovely touch. Seyshima was a particular highlight - absolutely fantastic food and ambience, by far one of the best meals we had on the island - we ate there twice. Tepinyaki show was excellent, the chef was 10/10. However, throughout our stay there were multiple things we picked up on that meant we could not rate this a 5 star hotel. Firstly, 2/6 days our breakfast order was wrong or forgotten about. Service at breakfast is very slow, and we expected a higher standard for eggs- unfortunately the quality and service of the breakfast were sub par. Secondly, there didn’t appear to be a general manager checking the standards are being met. Unfortunately the service at the pool bar was slow and lacking. On multiple occasions we ordered drinks that never turned up, and it would take up to 45 minutes for the drinks to arrive (even when there weren’t many people ordering). It also felt that there was little management of the pool area and nothing to distinguish the main pool to the children’s pool, which was not used by any of the families during our stay- there was one day where there were a dozen children under the age of 5 running up and down the sun beds in the main pool - in our opinion, this should’ve been managed far better for the enjoyment of all the guests. In addition, the people managing the pool handing out towels consistently had the radio on at a loud volume, and there was different music playing out the main speakers along the sunbed area. It was jarring to listen to and not a standard I’d expect at a 5 star hotel. Thirdly, the amenities were also not up to scratch. Whilst our room was lovely and comfortable, the air con unit made a high pitch humming noise which was disturbing at night. We played tennis multiple times throughout our stay, but the equipment was poor - the rackets didn’t have any grip and some of the balls were flat and unusable. The court was also tired and needed resurfacing (clearly hasn’t been done since it was built). Overall we enjoyed our stay, but fundamentally felt let down by the service.
