The luxurious Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa is located in Beau Vallon Bay, on the edge of the most popular beach of Mahe Island. With unique location, striking designs and landscaped tropical gardens of 16 acres, these are further enhanced by a world-class spa and a 700 sq. m swimming pool which is the largest in the Seychelles. Beau Vallon revels in its authentic seaside vibe and endless white sandy beaches that encourage swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports. Fine sand, flat sandy bottom, low waves and stunning sunsets distinguish this beach from all others on the island. It takes only 25 minutes by car to get from Seychelles International Airport to the Resort. Our 163 spacious guest rooms and suites ranging from 51 up to 270 square meters boast inspirational views of the Morne Seychellois National Park lofty peaks, vibrant hotel gardens and the sparkling Indian Ocean. Step back inside the room and it’s all about soothing shades, natural textures and sleek lines. Finished to perfection, the individual air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen and exclusive L’Occitane amenities are just a handful of the 21st century luxuries to enjoy. The international chefs make full use of the island’s bounty as they show off their skills in three appealing venues. Sumptuous champagne breakfasts are served at the Grand Savoy Restaurant outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel's tropical gardens. For lunch, we recommend stopping by the Pescado gourmet restaurant. The freshest fish and seafood are delivered to the restaurant kitchen every morning directly from the ocean to be on your plate the same day. In the evening, choose between themed buffet dinners at the Grand Savoy, a romantic poolside dinner at Pescado or tropical cocktails at the Gecko Bar where you can enjoy the sunset over the ocean. Yet nothing underscores the luxury, laid-back vibe better than the world-class spa. This 5,800 sq. m sanctuary, Savoy Spa occupies a picturesque corner of the garden, away from the hustle and bustle. The combination of Eastern and Western traditions, classic and modern technics, advanced rejuvenation technology along with premium professional oils & cosmetics by Sothys Paris - all this allows us to provide visible results in the shortest possible time. Savoy Spa offers: a swimming pool, a gym, equipped with professional Matrix workout machines, 6 individual treatment rooms and 3 treatment rooms for couples, beauty salon, manicure and pedicure, Hammam and Russian bathhouse. Yoga instructors and fitness trainers conduct both group and individual classes for guests at any level: from beginner to advanced. Conference rooms and open-air venues of the hotel are perfect for conferences, seminars, incentive programs, corporate and private events for up to 300 people. Amirantes Ballroom is the largest column free venue of the hotel boasting natural daylight that allows to hold different kind of events. The ballroom can be divided into three parts (Marie Louise, Desroches and Alphonse) by soundproof partitions. Two meeting rooms (Boardroom I and Boardroom II) can be used for meetings of up to 25 persons or as an additional space during major events in the Amirantes Ballroom. Indeed, an exciting range of state-of-the-art facilities is on offer including a floodlit tennis court and dedicated Kids club, which is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm for children starting from 4 years old. In the game room there is a playground, a children's billiards, toys, books, and colouring books. Older children can spend time playing the console games. LEGO constructors are fun for everyone. The hotel is an excellent starting point for exploring the island. It’s also a perfect choice for beach and family holidays, wedding ceremonies, private and business events.

Nestled along a prime beachfront, Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa captivates guests with its luxurious and serene atmosphere, boasting spacious rooms that offer stunning views and large balconies favored by romantics. The resort's cleanliness receives high marks, with travelers noting the well-kept grounds.
However, opinions on value and amenities are mixed; some guests find the offerings overpriced and the service inconsistent. While the location and room comfort are consistently praised, issues with dated decor and mildew detract from the overall experience.

Detailed Reviews
My fiancée and I had the pleasure of being able to visit the Savoy for our two week vacation in March 2020 in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
I would like to thank all of the employees at the resort for providing great service and timely information regarding both their own change of operations to accommodate the changing environment, as well as the information provided by the authorities.
I'd like to specifically mention STELLAR housekeeping services, always leaving the room in pristine condition and going out of their way to make sure everything feels nice and orderly.
The breakfast was lovely, and I would recommend anyone to try the fresh fruits provided.
I fully understand any aversion or cautionary worry felt by anyone in the service business, knowing that any guest could be a source of infection, so I would like to applaud the still friendly and service minded personnel.
One person in particular who helped us immensely not only in getting back home when flight after flight got cancelled, but also to put our worries to rest with clear communication is Randolph in the reception. A big THANK YOU, to him.
All in all I would consider anyone fortunate to be able to visit the Savoy in Mahé, be it during a global crisis or just a regular day.

Great location with plenty of restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner. All very reasonably priced as well. Although no private beach, they provide beach chairs and have two guys looking out for everybody. Felt safe enough to leave items to go for a swim and for a stroll at the market. Service is ok and food at breakfast was with plenty of options and choices and very tasty. The staff is friendly and rooms are spacious and modern. The gym is fairly big with plenty of equipment to choose from. Given it’s location it is definitely a good choice for this money but it’s on the “main market road” so if you prefer quieter area then go along the beach and choose something further away.
Loved that you get 10% discount when eating at sister hotel restaurants which ended up being our favourite one of them all.
Beware of the time of the trip as mid Jan - early Feb we were hit by the currents and had to witness several occasions where people got stuck in the ocean and had to yell for help. There is a lifeguard on the beach though so nothing extremely serious happened.
Loved that it’s so close to the market which takes place every Wednesday with a huge selection of street food and crafts being available. There are also number of bus stops less than 5 minute walk away that will take you to Victoria.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
We stayed in three 5 star hotels during our holiday (the others being Story Hotel, and Constance Lemuria), and we felt Savoy was the best overall value for money. It can't really be compared directly to Constance Lemuria, which is significantly more expensive, but we rated it much higher than the more comparable Story Hotel nearby.
The rooms were well laid out and the beds were super-comfortable; I couldn't believe how well I slept! The bathrooms were clean and functional, and one of the few hotel bathrooms that wasn't open plan (my pet hate). The shower was also the best out of all the hotels we stayed at.
The pool is huge, and the pool area is gorgeous. Loungers have thick comfy cushions, and are well spaced out, so it never felt crowded. There were always loungers available, without having to grab them early. We didn't use the beach much as we knew we'd be going to nicer ones later in our trip, but it seemed nice enough.
From reading reviews of the Seychelles before my trip my expectations of customer service weren't high, but the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
We were there for 5 days on the full board package. Lunch included 40 euro credit per person in either the Grand Savoy (main restaurant) or Pescado (fine dining). Both were a la carte at lunch, apart from Sundays when Grand Savoy has a buffet 'brunch'. Dinner was either the buffet in Grand Savoy,or 55 euros credit at Pescado. At all meal times in both restaurants, one large bottle of water between two people was included for free. Pescado is a la carte in the evening, and also has a 'fish market' where you can choose your fish, sauce and side dish. We had the tuna and the snapper, which were both great. The dinner buffet always had a lot of variety and was good quality and tasty, but nothing spectacular. There were themes each day, but that just meant 3 or 4 themed dishes at the cooking station, with most other offerings being general. The breakfast buffet was also extensive.
We arrived early morning, a few hours before check in, but we were taken with our luggage to the spa where we could shower and change, then they stored our luggage until the room was ready, meaning we could head straight to the pool.
The only slight negative was that the area immediately to the north of the hotel seems to be a gathering place for locals with loud music sometimes being played. On the Sunday evening, the music was so loud our room was vibrating! It had finished by about 9.30 pm though, so wasn't a major problem. I don't know if this is a regular event, or just a one off party.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

Very disappointed with our stay. First off check in is a mess, no process, no explaining what will happen you just sit around in the blind hope someone will come see you. The room was not clean - there were little black hairs everywhere (my partner and I are both light haired so definitely weren't ours), rather annoyingly the phone wasn't working in the room and seeing as you need to call to get anything done (you literally have to request room service to come and clean your room otherwise it will not be done) that was an added frustration. Apparently you need a towel card which we weren't given so there was a daily battle with the towel guys to give us towels for the pool. Very few staff around they have obviously had cut backs and you can see it.

On our return from a week on a catamaran we wanted something quiet relaxing with a high standard and we found it at this hotel. It is located in bea vallon about 40 minutes by car from Vittoria we chose the option with breakfast as only a two minute walk away from the beach you can find several restaurants or pizzerias that offer excellent food at lower prices, the rooms were the basic but wow what a room! Large, spacious, clean with shower and tub and a king bed to sleep perfectly accompanied by attention to detail and a magnificent balcony to watch the sunset on the beach. We also loved the very large swimming pool with beautiful colors and always empty for maximum relaxation, as well as the abundant, varied breakfast with fast and kind service. An excellent point is also a Spa accessible to all with Jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation pool for those who want to relax even more. Negative points are the wifi not always the connection was stable the beach, which although as an excellent view the water was not crystal clear as you would expect from the Seychelles and in addition the sunbeds too close to each other and certainly not like those in the pool (made of plastic to be clear) and also too many mosquitoes that bore and not just the evenings. I would have found it appropriate to have a soft animation (yoga, evening shows) not the usual live music, to do something more but all in all a great two-day break.

Stayed for 6 nights for the first leg of our Seychelles trip, after arriving jet lagged and exhausted at 9:30am we headed to check in hopeful our room might be available. We were very lucky and grateful our room was ready as there were numerous other guests waiting in the lobby before us.
Our room was spacious and on the quite side of the resort which was a bonus- would definitely put in a request for a quiet room as on the other end of the resort the rooms back out onto a car park where very loud music is played late into the night. However as this hotel is advertised as 5* luxury there were certain aspects of the room which just fell short; the upholstery was old and stained, cheap tea and coffee with not even given a proper spoon just flimsy stirrers, stained and mould crusted shower edges, no universal sockets and non you could borrow from the resort either and the hair dryer just sucked.
On the upside the bed was lovely, big and comfortable, balcony was an added bonus which was also very spacious, lovely toiletries from L’Occitaine and a huge bathtub to relax in. The breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choices and staff ensured food was replenished quickly. The facilities are outstanding, minutes away from a beach with designated sunloungers, lovely outdoor pool with plenty of sunloungers and a good sized gym with equipment. What makes this hotel is the facilitates available to guests, free and easy parking was also very much appreciated.
The WiFi is horrendous absolutley awful, the only time it was working quickly for me was first thing in the morning. We encountered many different staff members during our stay and have to say there seemed to be a running theme, the majority of staff were surly and moody, looking irritated whenever you asked for help if a question. However this wasn’t the case for everyone as we met the head of housekeeping was was lovely.
Housekeeping was very intermittent, we had towels taken away and not replenished and one day one of our mugs was taken and never returned. I had laid out the request card for the bed sheets to be changed half way through our stay and they were’nt changed till our last night wehich seemed a bit pointless.
On the whole this hotel is very nice, not the 5* luxury it’s advertised as but still enjoyable, with a few tweaks it could live up to it’s 5 stars.

We had to shorten our stay at Savoy due to Covid, so we checked out 5 days earlier than planned. Due to this I have asked for an email confirmation prior to check out that we will get the full refund for these days. This I have received, they confirmed the refund without any penalties (at least 10 Savoy mailboxes were added to the emailing) additonally I have been assured by Tikhon Strekalovskiy, Room Division Manager, upon checkout personally that the refund process wil be started immediately for the cancelled days, and I have not yet received the refund although we checked out on 16th March. 2020. Since then it is very difficult to reach them, I have to send 3-5 emails in a month to receive one short answer with the statement that my topic has been forwarded to the responsible division. This is very poor customer service especially because refund was confirmed by them via e-mail with 10 hotel colleges as participants over 3 months ago.

We stayed here on either side of a long boat trip — one week in total. It is a beautiful hotel. They checked us in early on both occasions, for which we were were grateful.
Our room was excellent: very spacious, with a large and well-equipped bathroom and sizeable balcony.
The pool area is large and well-maintained. We were not so keen on the beach area, which was a little crowded for our taste.
The breakfast buffet was excellent in terms of choice and quality. Staff members were friendly and helpful. We had excellent service from lovely Naomi of Cameroon).
Meals and drinks are quite expensive, as is common in the Seychelles, and on top of the price you see is a service charge, tax and a space for a tip.
We had a few nice meals and snacks in the Gecko Bar.
We also ate out at the Perle Noir and had a daily drink at the Beach Shak (at the end of the beach).
In summary: a very nice, well-run hotel.

Dear Cardiff2, Thank you very much for such a great feedback and your recent stay with us. We are immensely satisfied to know that you had a great time here. It is indeed gets crowded here, but that is only for a good reason since the area is extremely popular. Naomi is sincerely thankful for your words. We hope that you will decide to come back again in the future. Thank you. Best regards, Tikhon Strekalovskiy Rooms Division Manager

My fiancè and I decided to fly to Seychelles for Christmas holidays, looking forward to have a good time and nice stay at the resort, we unfortunately encountered a misunderstanding and very bad service at the reception area.
Since we came from UAE which is presently in a different category due to the covid situation (and we are fully aware with that) we are not allowed to leave the resort for the first 5 days.
But we havent been told before our booking (we have been touch with them prior booking via email) that we are not allowed to consume food in any of their restaurant (since they cant handle our category separately) instead only in a roomservice which disappointed us badly
1st day we went to the beach and 2nd day the security stopped us and we're not allowed to use the beach too!!
It's been a total nightmare for us specially in this beautiful place and holiday season. I just hope that this issue and rules have been communicated with us before booking so we could've book another resort.

Me and my Wife visited this hotel for the second part of our Seychelles 15th wedding anniversary trip so we could see the sights of Mahe!! We stayed for 5 nights, and I’ll be honest, this is not a 5-star hotel but has some good things going for it.
The location of the hotel is in the Northwest of the island on Beau Vallon beach with plenty of amenities nearby. The hotel has a section of Beau Vallon beach just a few steps from the hotel and is only 15 minutes by car to Victoria, so the location is perfect to visit Mahe.
We went for one of their standard rooms and got allocated 1119 which was attached to the main building and had beautiful mountain views. The best thing about the room’s location was it was away from the North side next to the Bazar Labrin Market and we had covered access to the main restaurant. The room was very spacious, and we went for the half board option, but no alcohol was included. The price of beverages was very expensive given the options around the hotel, but you did get bottled water every day so that was very handy.
There was a live band every few nights and they setup at the main restaurant, but you would not be able to hear them at the Gecko Bar and just barely at the Pescado Restaurant by the pool. The hotel did not offer any free water sports activities, but the spa was open to all at the time we were there, so good for those who like that little bit of luxury. The main pool was in the centre of the property and wow!! what a pool!! By far this is the best pool I’ve every swam in that was attached to a hotel I’ve visited and was their gem in my opinion.
One of the highlights of the hotel was the food at the Pescado Restaurant and if you love fish, then this is the place to go!! We dined there for their fish market night and wow, what a delight. We had our last meal at the Gecko bar which was also very good and wished we dined here in the evening as its located next to the beach. The food at the Grand Savoy (main restaurant) was a mixed bag. The seafood and Southern Asian nights where absolute brilliant, but the Creole and Arabic nights where not as good. Don’t get me wrong, the food generally here was very good, but it was like their best chefs had their days off on the Creole and Arabic nights.
The service in my opinion was also a mixed bag, every member of staff was polite and helpful, but you could tell who had previous experience and that ones who didn’t. We did make management aware of this and it was good to see they immediately made changes. The manager Sergie did talk to us and made us ware that they had a lot of trainees onboard so forgivable. I also did appreciate Naomi chatting to us for feedback so that they could make changes and improve service.
Overall, I loved our visit here but would hesitate to return if not for the location of the property, the magnificent pool and the Pescado Restaurant, a bit of a conundrum for me. With the hotel’s location, you could hire a car to explore which we did through Mein’s Car hire via Mason’s Travel but, there were so many amenities nearby, you could tick off a lot of boxes on your holiday in Mahe basing yourself at the Savoy.

Although it's a nice gesture to give them something because of its closeness to the holidays... Seychelles is considered to be the wealthier of the African nations; not sure if they will be offended in anyway. I like the gesture though... it a good reflection of your personality... it comes from the heart.
