Stayed for 6 nights for the first leg of our Seychelles trip, after arriving jet lagged and exhausted at 9:30am we headed to check in hopeful our room might be available. We were very lucky and grateful our room was ready as there were numerous other guests waiting in the lobby before us. Our room was spacious and on the quite side of the resort which was a bonus- would definitely put in a request for a quiet room as on the other end of the resort the rooms back out onto a car park where very loud music is played late into the night. However as this hotel is advertised as 5* luxury there were certain aspects of the room which just fell short; the upholstery was old and stained, cheap tea and coffee with not even given a proper spoon just flimsy stirrers, stained and mould crusted shower edges, no universal sockets and non you could borrow from the resort either and the hair dryer just sucked. On the upside the bed was lovely, big and comfortable, balcony was an added bonus which was also very spacious, lovely toiletries from L’Occitaine and a huge bathtub to relax in. The breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choices and staff ensured food was replenished quickly. The facilities are outstanding, minutes away from a beach with designated sunloungers, lovely outdoor pool with plenty of sunloungers and a good sized gym with equipment. What makes this hotel is the facilitates available to guests, free and easy parking was also very much appreciated. The WiFi is horrendous absolutley awful, the only time it was working quickly for me was first thing in the morning. We encountered many different staff members during our stay and have to say there seemed to be a running theme, the majority of staff were surly and moody, looking irritated whenever you asked for help if a question. However this wasn’t the case for everyone as we met the head of housekeeping was was lovely. Housekeeping was very intermittent, we had towels taken away and not replenished and one day one of our mugs was taken and never returned. I had laid out the request card for the bed sheets to be changed half way through our stay and they were’nt changed till our last night wehich seemed a bit pointless. On the whole this hotel is very nice, not the 5* luxury it’s advertised as but still enjoyable, with a few tweaks it could live up to it’s 5 stars.…
The hotel location is excellent. There is plenty of parking space. The checking in took us very long. Probably because of heavy rush. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is connected to a beautiful beach. The beach is very clean. The morning buffet breakfast breakfast is great with a wide spread. The hotel staff is warm and hospitable. Internet connection was an issue which we faced
Starting with the positives.... Hotel is in a great location right on the beach in Beau Valon The pool bar staff were great, with a special mention to Shanaka who looked after us great during our stay Negatives....... The pillows in the rooms were very lumpy....friends were staying in hotel also and they had the same feedback on the pillows, even with replacement pillows. The front desk staff are not that helpful. During our first night there was a wedding happening under our room (1013)….the whole room was shaking with the music…called reception twice but noone answered and when I went down to reception I was told there was nothing they could do and they had asked for the music to be turned down…..music kept going until 1.30am and I never had any feedback from staff. Only thing the reception staff could tell me is the hotel was at capacity and they couldn’t move my room. On the day of checkout I asked for a late check out but this couldn’t be accommodated again as the hotel was at capacity, however when my friend asked if he could pay for a room for the night it was possible…..seems the standard answer for everything is that the hotel is at capacity!!! Then to leave an even worse taste in my mouth, as I went to my room at 12pm to get my bags to checkout the phone rang at 12.02 with a call from reception asking me if I need help to get out of my room. Where was this proactive approach when the whole room was shaking 3 nights earlier??? During checkout no-one asked me how my stay was…seems the hotel doesn’t want to know feedback so I’ll post it here as a warning to others!!!!!…
I highly recommend savoy Seychelles resort & spa for your stay in Seychelles. From the time I arrive until I checked out The reception & restaurant team was very friendly and helpful . Thank you all for your excellent service especially dean Adrienne & neo in the restaurant.
We would like to warn everyone about this hotel. A big problem is the amount of moist in the room. It smells like an old basement. In our room we found visible mold in the bathroom and our linen and windows were damp from the moist. It is in no way acceptable that a 5* hotel offer that for their customers - it's poisonous for the health. We stayed there with a baby and were feeling so bad putting our baby to sleep in a room like that. The answer from the reception? They send a guy to spray the room with chemicals - and a couple of hours later the bad smell returns. We were offered to stay in a another room - but it had excactly the same smell and moist. It seems to be a general problem in the hotel. That is not what you will expect from an expensive "deluxe" room in a 5* hotel. Had we had anywhere else to go, we would have left in a minute! Furthermore: We had written to the hotel 3 times on beforehand to request a baby crib - there was no crib in the room. The hotel offers turn down service. We requested it would be around 6 pm so it would not be after we put our baby to sleep. They confirmed that they would do that. However at 8pm no one had been in the room. We called the reception - only to get a moody and rude answer. No apology or explanation. There was no menu in the room for room service. But we found the menu on the website and called to have room service. When we got the food we were presented for a bill where to food was much more expensive. We got a rude answer: "Look at the prices in the menu in the room"... the one that we did not have. So be attentive what they charge you! They also charged us twice for the room service at check out. They advertise for a 10 pct. discount on a local indian restaurant. So we went there and ordered food... only to experience that there was no discount deal. The sauna in the spa is disgusting. The smell of mold is unbelieable and it looked that it had not been cleaned for ages. Unacceptable. We are surprised to see all these positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Be aware that this hotel is in bad condition and the service is bad. Just to quote one of the staff members: "This hotel has no finesse". We have tried to discuss our really bad stay with the hotel afterwards, but the (russian) owners do not care about their customers being satisfied. We have never experienced anything like that! Stay away.…
We arrived on the 20th of april. Check in time is 14:00, but we arrived at the hotel at 8:00, so they let us wait in the reception for 6 hours which was horrible. However, once we got the room we were impressed; the rooms are massive, clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable! The rooms are the best thing in this hotel in my opinion. Every day in the afternoon someone would come over to the room and ask us if we need anything which is awesome. Most of the staff in the hotel were friendly, some very friendly, while some were really lazy. Now to the restaurant and food. We booked half board. The first morning before check in however it was not included, so we wanted to ask how much it would cost. The prices are ridiculous, 45 EURO PER PERSON! In all honesty, the breakfast was good, but to charge 45 Euro is ridiculous. The lunch à la carte menu is really poor and extremely expensive. One burger cost over 20 Euro… so we decided to eat at a beachside restaurant outside the hotel. The dinner however was really good! However, one major letdown is that there is NO Entertainment, only occasionally some “live music” on some evenings. For a 5 star that’s delusional. This hotel is nice, but very very expensive for what you get.…
On our return from a week on a catamaran we wanted something quiet relaxing with a high standard and we found it at this hotel. It is located in bea vallon about 40 minutes by car from Vittoria we chose the option with breakfast as only a two minute walk away from the beach you can find several restaurants or pizzerias that offer excellent food at lower prices, the rooms were the basic but wow what a room! Large, spacious, clean with shower and tub and a king bed to sleep perfectly accompanied by attention to detail and a magnificent balcony to watch the sunset on the beach. We also loved the very large swimming pool with beautiful colors and always empty for maximum relaxation, as well as the abundant, varied breakfast with fast and kind service. An excellent point is also a Spa accessible to all with Jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation pool for those who want to relax even more. Negative points are the wifi not always the connection was stable the beach, which although as an excellent view the water was not crystal clear as you would expect from the Seychelles and in addition the sunbeds too close to each other and certainly not like those in the pool (made of plastic to be clear) and also too many mosquitoes that bore and not just the evenings. I would have found it appropriate to have a soft animation (yoga, evening shows) not the usual live music, to do something more but all in all a great two-day break.…

The place is beautiful with the beach. The rooms are big and well designs with balcony. The service is very good. At the restaurant, the chef Priyantha and his team prepared us special non glutan and sugar free veg food very tasty. The serving staff polite and serving at the top.
