Detailed Reviews
We visited Dagen Haus in August 2014. Perfect place where to enjoy a short vacation. Dagen Haus is beautiful place with nice and tasteful rooms. The staff is simply fantastic, friendly customer service. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Close to the sea, possible to go for the swimming, rent a boat or bicycle and discover entire Hiiumaa.

We arrived on a sunny afternoon, and fell immediately for the looks of the old manor. Welcomed by the hostess who showed us our well prepared room, with extra beds for our three kids. The interior of the place is better than anything I've seen in a long time. A combination of classic and modern, creating a special ambiance. I can only imagine what it looks like on a cold winter evening...
We had a delicious dinner, but there is also the possibility of cooking for yourself.
All in all, an excellent place to stay.

My husband and I spent a honeymoon there, everything was great! The hospitality of the Dagen Haus family is admirable. The best part of the stay was waking up to the smell of pancakes :). We will be back to capture the magic!

This was our first stay in Dagen Haus but definitely will not be the last. We booked two rooms and me and my husband were upgraded to Sauna Room. This is a great large room with special atmosphere. Everything is in the room including washing machine and fireplace, not speaking about the small fridge and private sauna.
Breakfast was perfect and the omelet with cheese was delicious made from local eco ingredients. You can have every kind of freshly made coffee and enjoy it in the garden sitting in sun or shade.
Each rooms is different and lovely. Since only 12 people can be accommodated at the same time then it is so quiet and personal feeling like you stay with your family.
It was so sorry to leave since we only booked one night but as already said we will be back again since want to enjoy this great place again.

+1
We stayed in Dagen Haus for one night on a cycle trip, but would have likes to stay longer. The guest house is adorable: stylish, cosy, peaceful and modern. We had a standard double room which was very spacy, views to both sides (garden and fields), clean & with air conditioning and really good beds.
The service was really friendly with fluent English and also some Finnish. Breakfast was very, very good. There was no dinner in the guesthouse, but local Orjaku pub is in a walking distance, and restaurants in Kassari quite close as well. We also recommend cycling to see the views of the southernmost tip of Hiiumaa, Sääretirp (7 km distance), wool factory Hiiuvill after Kassari, and a bird tower in Orjaku.
Next time we will try the sauna!

Very nice, tranquil place with kind owners who will help you with everything but will leave you alone if you don`t want to communicate. we stayed there for two nights and were very pleased with everything. Rooms are very clean and simple yet stilish, with large windows and beautiful scenery. Comfy beds, tasty breakfast and a bonus for nature lovers - in a walking distance there is also very nice bird watching tower and a lake.

We stayed in Dagen Haus twice for a week with our family of 4 (August 2012 and 2013). For us it is the most beautiful guesthouse in Estonia. Outside of Tallinn we've never seen such a sensible handling of historic and modern architecture. The guesthouse is located in the former grainery of the Orjaku manor. The rooms with the big sky windows to the bay (what a sunset!!!) and the wintergarden are marvelous. The guesthouse has a large park-like garden to play and explore, you can rent bycicles either in the house or near-by bike rentals. The little Orjaku marina is in 10 min walking distance and so is a nice hiking trail in the nature reserve. The breakfast is simple, but plenty and delicious. You can use the kitchen to prepare you own lunch or dinner. If you're lucky, the lady of the house will cook a scrumptious meal for you one night. Hiiumaa is a quiet island, where time stands still. If you like that, then Dagen Haus is the perfect place to stay.

Dagen Haus is in Hiiuma (one of the Estonias islands). The house in modern and very well decorated. Rooms are big enough and the views are amazing. In summer time you can see sheeps and horses from your window :) Master of this place is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but very tasteful. If you want you can use the sauna as well (for extra fee). I strongy recommend to stay in Dagen Haus.

We have stayed at this place before and had certain expectations. Before arriving, I received a call asking what time we would like to have breakfast the next morning. I answered that at 10:00 a.m. In the morning we came for breakfast at 10:00 a.m., the table was nicely laid, although the table itself was dirty and sticky. The food was rather tired, it was immediately obvious that these things had been served many times. The pancakes were completely burnt. We have had such a good breakfast here before, this was a big disappointment. In winter, there aren't that many places to eat on the island, so we took the hotel breakfast into consideration. From the conversation with the hostess, it turned out that there is an event planned for the evening at the hotel, which we didn't know about before and we certainly wouldn't come at that time, because we value privacy above all. We came in the evening so that a large number of people were at the table and we had to deliver under their eyes. At the same time, we had to sit quietly in our room all the time, we couldn't take the things we needed. In the morning, we came to eat at exactly 10:00, but this time there was another hostess who for some reason was waiting for us at 9:00. The food was completely cooled. It was ice-cold fried eggs with the same wilted meals we've already seen yesterday. And suddenly it turned out that at 12:00 another event starts in this room and the attitude towards us was in the style: "No davai hop-hop and go". The staff was literally lounging on the couch and looking down at us. Others clattered with dishes, made preparations. When we finished and started to move, the hostess stopped us and asked if we had paid yet. Hello people, if you get paid online too, please check it yourself and don't embarrass your guests. Our vacation was ruined this time for our not-so-little money. And please, already make a socket next to the bed so you can charge your phone at night. There is a possibility, even put an extension cord.
