We had the most idyllic few days at PBV. The villas are all delightful and there is something relaxing about the way they are set up. Sitting out in the terrace and watching the various birds was a particular pleasure. The pool was great and being right on the beach was brilliant. Sean and Fiona could not have been more helpful and the lady looking after us with cleaning and bit of cooking was charming. What a special place to stay. My only suggestion would be to move the cockerel as he was very insistent to welcome the dawn at 4:00 am!

Property's Favorite Review
This was our backyard getaway from the drag and monotony of Covid. They got the name right - beautiful planation style villas with generous sized rooms where you could hear and feel the beach, walking distance to a beautiful stretch of beach and some great restaurants. There was a housekeeper assigned to each villa who could cook local meals for the family if so requested. BBQ and cooking facilities for the fish you caught. We usually booked around the same time with other families so the kids had the run of the estate; and always ended up extending our stays as we never wanted to go home. No request was too small for Sean and Fiona, who did everything they could before, during and after each trip! The bar has one of the best rum punches too!

We rented 5 of the 6 villas for our very large family. Every house was exactly the same and perfectly cozy! I have never had nicer staff who were pleasant and went the extra mile to ensure we felt well taken care of. It is one of the few places in Tobago that allows for walking distance beach access (safely), with a pool and 'hotel type' service while remaining a villa. It was the prefect hybrid. We even walked to the Seahorse Inn for dinner one night (3 min walk). We needed a doctor and the hotel information was supportive in finding one.

Even before the pandemic and a hankering for somewhere easy on the soul and the mind, Plantation Beach Villas was where I would wish I could be. We've been going to PBV, every year for 9 years and on and off for some years before that. We are very fortunate and also travel to other places in the world, particularly Europe but we always look forward to our arrival at PBV and hearing those 2 lovely words from Sean "Welcome home!" Fortunately, we were able to make our annual visit this year, before it became unwise to travel and we already have a reservation for 2021. The well maintained villas are perfect little replicas of plantation houses of old but with all the modern conveniences. Each villa has a veranda on which one could spend the day reading, listening to the waves and the birds and relaxing. The villas which are beautifully and comfortably furnished are serviced daily by very efficient and extremely courteous villa attendants. With a stunning beach and the Caribbean Sea only steps from the villas, a refreshing pool and the perfect beach bar on the path to the beach ... everything is at hand. The vegetation, animal and sea life of Tobago is varied and very interesting. The tourist bureau has done a lot to promote showcasing the natural assets of the island in an eco-friendly way. In recent years very good restaurants have popped up all over Tobago. We often walk the 5 minutes up to "the village" to treat ourselves to fantastic local food. This year, an ice cream shop opened and the ice cream is amazing.

We’ve just spent a lovely week here in Alamanda, a lovely villa a minute from the pool and a wonderful beach. The villa was spacious and we were very well looked after by Nadine. There are restaurants in walking distance by road or beach. We visited Little Tobago, Pigeon Point and played golf at Magdalena. There are many places to visit and if you like birds, blue motmots, tanagers, fly catchers, bare eyed thrush, doves etc will visit your verandah. We should have stayed longer.

Hi Janec, It was a pleasure having you all here with us. We try our best not just for guests to enjoy our facilities, but to actually get out and enjoy all that Tobago has to offer. The Bonus being after a day of exploring you do have the option of staying in and having your Villa Attendant have dinner waiting for you, when it is convenient for you. The area surrounding our villas has also become a beehive of activity with the best eating options on the island, from Bake & Buljol, to Roti, Pizza or the 3 best restaurants on the island, and a great spot to enjoy local ice cream and other deserts, all in walking distance the options are endless. You're right though, a week is not enough, hope to see you again soon.

Spent a very relaxing week at Plantation Bay villas, which are well run in a friendly relaxed manner by Fionna and Sean. You have access to the sea and the lovely long beach at Grafton Bay but with the pleasant alternative of using the villas’ own private pool and bar(!)

A group of our family and friends travelled down to Tobago for our wedding in November 2019 and we rented out four of the six villas at Plantation Beach Villas. What an amazing time we had!! I have been traveling to Tobago my whole life and always dreamed of staying here. It not only met but exceeded my expectations. The villas are beautiful, romantic, and well-maintained. And, the grounds are meticulously groomed and lush. We stayed in Villa Petria that had a lovely breeze and view of the ocean. Our villa attendant, Gillian, was a delight and by the end of the week felt like a part of the family. Sean and Fionna at the front desk were beyond obliging to all of our needs. Anything we needed or wanted we received with a smile. And, they worked closely with our wedding planner, Asha Mars, and all the other vendors on the wedding day to make sure the event went off without a hitch. And, it did. It was beyond what we had expected. What a treasure of a place to stay on the island. The owners and employees really care about the guests and their experience - you can feel that the moment you arrive. We would recommend PBV to anyone looking for a carefree, relaxed, and beautiful stay on the island (and on our favourite beach to boot!).

We stayed in Petrea villa last week and found it to be just like a colonial house. The 3 bedrooms were all air conditioned, plus ceiling fans, so we could maintain an acceptable temperature. The large veranda overlooking the sea was particularly accommodating and you get brilliant views of local bird life in the surrounding lush gardens. Our housekeeper was Betty Ann who was lovely and we engaged twice to cater for us. She cooked traditional cuisine and lots of it. The delicious food was sufficient for a main meal and lunch. Sean the Manager also manned the poolside bar and we certainly tested his skills with cocktail making - which he created beautifully and sometimes delivers them to us in the pool. Sean also gave us recommendations for tours and restaurants, one of which, Z’s Grill Shack, was in walking distance and we would highly recommend. He was also full of stories from his life on Trinidad and Tobago, which were interfering to hear. The adjoining beach was stunning and as we found out a nesting beach for turtles. We were lucky enough to assist recusing baby leatherbacks who insisted on travelling towards the streetlights rather than the sea! The final nice thing was that as no one was renting our villa on the day we left, they were amenable to us continuing to use it until we had to leave at 3. We cleared the upstairs bedrooms and just used the one shadower, but it was nice not to be salty when we boarded our flight. Thank you, it’s little things like that which make a difference. We would highly recommend these villas.

Hi Jacquie W, Great of you to take the time to write and to be so complimentary. We do try to ensure that our guests do get the little extra things that make the difference, which is one of the beauties of operating a small resort. It was a pleasure "liming" with you and your family at the bar and poolside hearing of each days adventure. We all hope that we have the pleasure of your company once again in the future.
