I'm used to two queens or a king bed, a full sized tub/shower and washcloths. The bed was two twins pushed together. We got that at a couple other hotels too so it must be a European thing. There was no tub and the shower was maybe three foot square. Once again that was the same as the other hotels... More

Everything is alright with this hotel, automatic entry with code, small shower with no ventilation fan. Clean, standard breakfast offers tasty blue berry yogurt, the room where you can hear the sea... Nothing bothers me. What does is its hard to find a help here if you have any question. If you happen to see a staff around to ask... More

Clean good facility that's near the Snaefellsness National Park. But, even though the "hotel" had nice helpful staff, there is no one manning the reception desk at all, ... ever.... no one. If you can get over that, then it's good place. There's this existing architecture, a clearly signed reception desk, that's been obviously abandoned in lieu of an automated... More

We booked here a three day stay with the kids about half a year before we would visit Iceland for a tour at multiple locations. While the months passed we still had not booked all our stays, there is so much to see in just two weeks. Somehow we had lost the only mail we had ever recieved from Hotel... More

This hotel is right by the entrance to the National Park which is nice. Breakfast in the morning is quite good. The hotel serves dinner, but it is quite expensive. ...unfortunately there is really no where else in town to eat (the next town is only a few minutes away, however ). Room was good, but a little too hot... More

It's been a couple of days since I left the hotel and the longer I've been gone the more I appreciate this place. It was clean and warm with a really good breakfast. Dinner, however, was very expensive (you'll find that food is generally expensive in Iceland, especially restaurants). Staff was generally happy to help, but not very knowledgeable about... More

We chose not to stay here based on previous reviews but because there was no place open in the area for dinner, we came here to eat. The lobby's vibe confirmed our decision not to stay. Something here is amiss. The restaurant experience was just ok. We stayed instead at Virkid and were so glad we did.

You can get a wonderful view of Snaefellsnessjokull from the parking lot or dining hall. Unfortunately, the rooms are sited on a east west axis and the mountain and glacier is just to the south so no view from the rooms. Maybe it was the high school soccer team from Luxembourg running up and down the halls at midnight or... More

Lonely Planet--it breaks my heart when you let me down, I count on you! This highly recommended hotel has all the charm of the average school dorm, but with torn sheets, a filthy shower curtain, and mediocre food. It could also be a sign of what the other local lodging options are, but this is no winner. The staff seemed... More

Expensive hotel, but options are limited in this region and we stayed for 2 nights whilst touring Snæfellsness. We got a corner room, which offered a wonderful view of Snæfellsnessjøkull, so thanks for that! The room was spacious, the bathroom however was pretty tiny. The beds (mostly the pillows) were pretty uncomfortable. I had taken my own pillow, which was... More
