We had a great experience staying at one of the cabins at the farm for three nights. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly and made it a visit to remember. Everything was 100%, the cabin was clean and cozy and the hot tub lovely. We recommend a meal at their restaurant which is ran with ambition and an effort to make every guest happy 😁

Solvi and Karen are the perfect hosts. The cabins are spotless and charming. Solvi was an excellent tour guide for us on a day trip. So full of humor, along with local and country knowledge. Karen is an excellent hostess and cook. They both made our trip special. Thanks!

This little guesthouse is remote, quiet and restful. The hosts are friendly and the home is clean. The food is made fresh and is delicious. If you stay, definitely order the breakfast with homemade jams and breads, it is an Icelandic treat.

We booked two rooms, both were beautiful and comfortable. The lady taking care of the place was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was tasty, we loved the waffles. There were plenty of toilets and showers so we never had to queue and everything was very clean. We enjoyed having the shared living room with couches and tv to hang out in the evening. The place is in a very quiet area and we slept very well. We could park our car right next to the entrance so there was no problem with carrying the luggage to the rooms. The only minor negatives are that the double bedroom was a bit small and became cramped when we put our luggage in but we had a lot of bags and giant suitcases. Also, the night lamp in the twin room was too far from the socket and could not be plugged in.

Our cabin was spotless and comfortable. Near a river, next to a farm and yet close enough to both Akureyri and Egilsstadir. The Vopnafjordur area may be one of the last gorgeous undeveloped areas. The owners were extra friendly. We hope to return.
